The place has no ambience. It's very bland. But what it has going for it is their FOOD! I've tried every Chinese restaurant in this town and without a doubt their food is the BEST! Not just for Chinese food but the BEAT in town of any restaurant. We only do take out as this place is so drab inside but their FOOD IS THE STAR! It's no longer a buffet. They did a terrific job in remodeling the place. They have a menu now. Your basic Chinese foods, but now serving a delicious variety of Pho. I got the steak Pho and my friend Ally got the steak with brisket. Both of us were very happy with our orders. We no longer have to drive to another city for Pho. Family owned atmosphere gives the restaurant a comfortable dining experience. The food has been great every time as well. Personally, I love the pho options. I know some were upset about the buffet closing, so they listened and brought back buffet items to serve on the menu, which are really yummy. This restaurant has been completely renovated. The food is excellent. On par with anything that you can get in the valley. We had the Beef Hot Pot. Delicious broth, vegetables were done perfectly. Went tonight to try the pho and Taiwan beef soup and the serving is very generous in fairness yet the food is bland taste it needs a little taste, also missing condiments no powder pepper, hoisen sauce, no chop sticks. For customers who dont cook and no time to prepare they can have it said its ok, im a food critic and I have a food business so I know the right taste and good food. Souse and I have been here many times, and it seems the last few times the taste and quality of the food has taken a bit of a dive. Still good, but just good. Not sure what has happened but will be trying ago to see if the decline continues, This is a buffet, but it is always clean and well stocked, and employees are friendly. Decided to try something new so headed into China King. Seems a month ago they changed formats from Chinese to Pho/hot pots. Still adding menu items, but had a nice selection of pho dishes. I chose the steak and brisket. Broth was flavorful, meat was tender. Adequate amount of mint/lime/jalapeño etc. Service was good. Would recommend and will return to see what they add to the menu. The food was amazing/delicious don't skip the crab ragoons, the service was amazing as well they kept checking to see if things were good and if we needed anything and were not annoying with constant coming over to us, the place has definitely changed the look on the inside but it looks great/amazing as well, the only thing that was terrible is the fountain drinks soda was watered down and tasted like it wasn't carbonated correctly not sure just that was awful other then that everything was amazing food, service, the way it's set up inside all amazing and very friendly definitely recommend this place food is 100/10 amazing. read more

We were headed to Big Wa when we passed China King on Florence blvd. Wife says, I wish they still had the buffet!! I hit the brakes because I remembered reading that they brought back the menu!! Walked in, Hi Johnny, my favorite person!! He always told me to try off the menu, but I loved the buffet!! I had Mongolian Beef, wife had General Toes (that's what she calls it) it was excellent!! It tasted fresher than any other time there!! All in all, thanks young man for bringing back the menu to go along with your Pho soup!! Love the new look, place is so much nicer and organized!! Very very small selection at this buffet-only place. Pay first. No table service, you have to go back to the counter for drink refills. Mostly fried foods. Not all that good, but not horrible. Had dinner at this place the China King .I guarantee you I will never eat there again . This place is dirty salt and pepper shakers were filthy so was the sugar container you don't even want to touch them. Bathroom doors and wall were also filthy. I don't see why health department hasn't shut this place down .Food leaves much to be desired I would not recommend it to anyone. Makes me wonder what the kitchen is like.!!! read more
