We've ordered from Say Sushi several times. For some reason, I was oblivious to the fact that they had fried rice, one of my favorite meals. I had it tonight and it was fantastic! The shrimp were large, fresh and deveined. I don't know what has happened, but the other two places in town where I was getting Fried Rice from either do not, or no longer devein their shrimp, which is gross.. The price was very good, and they give you a lot of food. With tax it was like $30 for 2 bento boxes. I could barely finish, and my friend had to take it home. Now, the most important part, the food. It actually tasted really good. I had Bento box C I think, with the beef. It was juicy and tender. The egg roll and gyoza were yummy as well. The sushi tasted fresh. Went in tonight for my daughter's 7th birthday. She wanted sushi and I'm so glad we gave this spot a shot rather than driving into town. We were sat immediately. The dishes took a while to get to us, but they were very busy as expected on a Friday night. The food was well worth the wait - absolutely delicious. The ambiance was nice, bustling chatty and very alive. The seating is close, we were basically elbow to elbow with the next table, but thankfully they were a nice group who didn't mind too. Pricing was really great, I was surprised to get the $20 bill. Before tax, my diamond roll was $11.95, her California roll was $4.95 and her capris sun was $1.50. Another great visit to Say Sushi! This time we went around lunch and were able to get a table without any wait. The gentlemen working in the kitchen greeted us when we arrived and said goodbye when we left, and the music was great! Not so loud that we couldn't talk, and just loud enough to cover pleasant moments of silence. Sherlyn was our server and she was terrific! We ordered the orange chicken lunch special, the gyoza, and the chicken katsu and everything came out perfect! It tasted great and all the flavors worked well together. Been coming here with my husband since they opened in 2010. All Day Happy Hour on Tuesday and Thursday and great selection of sashimi, appetizers, ands rolls. Service is excellent; the staff is always friendly and efficient. It's a bit on the pricey side; I've never not spent over $80 here between me and hubs, but it's worth it every single time. And the bar is finally open again! Hooray! Seating is limited, and this place is busy every day of the week. Should you come during the dinner or lunch rushes, expect a wait and don't abuse the staff. Please note, this location is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The baked lobster roll is served on fire, and the miso soup never disappoints. My daughter comes for the Udon Soup and my husband and I share the Albacore Sashimi. This is a great place for family, though I don't recommend bringing picky eaters because you're going to get whatever is on the menu. Great place, would recommend a thousand times over. read more

We travel down to this area from Seattle every October for my hubs soccer tournament. I am a big foodie and always disappointed by the lack of good restaurants in Maricopa. Say Sushi is the exception. This was our fourth time visiting this fine establishment. This place is five stars hands down! Thank goodness Maricopa has a good sushi place! I moved here about a year ago, and sushi is one of my favorite foods. This place does a really good job with their food. Although they are always busy, the tuna sashimi satisfies my cravings! The take out wait time is always 45 mins, and they only take phone orders. I wish they had an online ordering system. Try not to come on a Saturday night... you'll be waiting for a table. They recently had a remodel; new tables, chairs, and wall art. It looks good! They definitely need to expand. Came here when in the area for lunch. To be fair I was hesitant on finding a sushi place here in Maricopa but was surprised. I got lunch bento A which was so delicious a little bit of everything. Additionally I added their Boston roll and was a fan. Service was good waitress was kind and fast service. The area is small not many tables and I came perfect time only a few people but within twenty minutes it can be packed than get tables again. Only downside is no major big parties they would not have room, and when coming I bet dinner is the worst. Although this may be the only real sushi option in Maricopa, know that you' aren't settling here. I compare the quality of food here with my favorite spot in Chandler. It's nearly just as good for a a lot less. First things first, this place is obviously busy. Everyone complaining just doesn't understand that I think. It's a small restaurant, so that's a clear flaw with how busy the demand is. It's tough to get a table. On week nights, you can come around dinner time and it still miraculously only be a 10 minute wait normally. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I've been 4-5 times since moving out here and the service has always been great. I haven't really had anything that I didn't like. It's been great. I've gotten Togo orders and my food has never been cold. It always taste hot and fresh no matter how I order. I do wish in the future that they buy a bigger place. They could swing it for sure. Ok so we tried this place out on our way to the casino. We did the Happy Hour Menu which is all day on Tuesday! The place is quite small so it fills up quickly, luckily we got a table without having to wait. Service was spotty at best but adequate. The food was ok, nothing to right home about, but it wasn't bad! Many of the items on the happy hour menu are deep fried, there's not much else really going on with that menu! After having been here many times, what is truly admirable is the consistency in quality, taste, presentation, and service. Located about 15 miles from I-10, it is a trek but is well worth the effort. Yes! They have Saké so Saké it to me! The photos all tell a better story so please feel free to indulge and drool. During these unusual Covid times, its great to know this restaurant goes to great lengths to protect its customers. They have selected and restricted number of seating availability. To-go orders are handled efficiently and with excellent care. All together a delicious tremendous place. Atmosphere - I tiny place in a small section of a strip mall.  Place probably has 10 tables, a mix of 2 and 4 person.  You can see the COVID concerns are ending as the sign on the door states 50% occupancy while they used every table tonight.  The bar at the sushi counter was closed, looks like maybe 6 people can sit there.  Hard to tell as there were only two chairs at the bar. Food Drink - I had an Asahi, large bottle of beer.  They did not have it a standard bottle format.  I do not know if this is normal or just out it. Sushi - We ordered six sushi rolls for the table.  Our son went with Udon noodles, and a veggie roll for his dinner.  I like trying unusual rolls, the Crispy Spicy Tuna and the Baked Lobster rolls fell into this category.  The Crispy Spicy Tuna is made with puffed rice, what a unique texture.  The tuna was finely chopped to top the rolled with a sliver of jalapeno to top it off.  I found the pieces to be a little too large.  We decided on Baked Lobster we spotted it being delivered to another table and we had to order it.  The roll sits in a boat of tin foil placed on top of a fajita plate.  Flames were burning from the fajita plate when it was delivered, dinner and a show. Service - I would say it is okay.  If you are a regular you probably do not need a menu.  They only provided one for the four us with a slip of paper to check off what we wanted to order.  We had to ask for an additional menu.  Maybe it is labor intensive to hand them out as I watched a hostess wiping down every page to put back into circulation.  You do need to ask for wasabi and ginger if you want those items with your sushi. Future - Yes, as there not many sushi choices in the area.  I enjoyed the rolls I had.  I did not see the special rolls by the hostess station until we finished with dinner. read more

I've never eaten there but have gotten takeout several times. Best sushi in town, in my opinion. The place looks relaxing and always see people eating in there. Takeout service has been great from phone call person to pickup person. I've always gotten the Philly crunch roll, shrimp tempura roll, teriyaki bowl, lettuce wrap and chicken fried rice. Since we're still new to the area, we have been scouring Phoenix, Chandler, and Maricopa for a reasonably priced sushi joint that also has quality rolls. Mind you, these aren't going to be high class sushi rolls with the best caviar, ginger, and wasabi. What you CAN expect from Say Sushi though is friendly staff/service, stellar rolls for the price you pay, and a ton of food. We honestly have never seen prices this low for all day sushi happy hour on Tuesdays, Thursday and Sunday!! We ended up ordering so much food we weren't able to eat it all but I loved all of it.
