Today at this location is ordered; Old timers- the eggs were good, they advertised "thick cut bacon", this was the Walmart style , thin as paper. The side of fruit was old & mushy, couldn't salvage any of it. The gravy for the side of biscuits & gravy is so blah plain, I couldn't eat it. Just did jelly on the biscuits, those are so good. The last time we ate at this location was in 2018 and the main complaint was lukewarm food. Eight years later, we decided to give it another try. We went on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Yes, it was busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to get a table. The first thing I noticed was the restaurant is way too loud. Too many people talking at the top of their lungs. Took about 10 minutes to finally be able to place our order. I was surprised that there is no salsa available. The waitress was nice and actually cut up some ingredients to make some pico de gallo for me. Then it took about 15 minutes to get our food. Immediately we noticed our food was barely warm. Was our food just sitting out waiting for the waitress? If so, why is the food not put under heat lamps? I like my food hot. We will not ever return food back because we know too many people that work in the restaurant industry that warned us that you never send your food back. Stopped in on my way to Tucson from Phoenix and was quickly seated. Had a great server named Priscilla. I ordered a bowl of grits, egg whites, turkey sausage, bacon and a nice bowl of fresh fruit. Been craving, literally craving Cracker Barrels amazing pancakes for weeks now. I am so glad that I found the moment to go! I started off my morning here with Karee as my server. She was so sweet and kind; and she gave me plenty of time to review the menu. Karee helped me see what I could not see what was in front of me, which was the dish I wanted. I told her I wanted pancakes, eggs, and turkey sausage. Right away she showed me what I should order. My meal came out pipping hot with the pancakes crisper than I remember and fluffy eggs. The pancakes did even need any syrup-wow, so amazing! Every bite was filled with vanilla, butter, and creaminess--wow!! Unfortunately the chicken sausage was not good as it did not have a lot of flavor and just tasted weird. Also, I ended up paying almost $2 for the sausage and found this after I received the bil. Ok two previous reviews I commented on how the food quaility has gone down hill and that is to sad. This was once my "Go To" place so it breaks my heart. Cracker Barrel did respond to my reviews and asked me to forward my previous comments, with my contact information, I did. What I got in return was a very nice form letter letting me know how sorry they were and hoped I would enjoy the enclosed certificate for a free meal??? Now I am a slow old farm boy.... but even free bad food is still bad food. I like coming here to eat with friends, there are so many choices for my vegetarian and non vegetarian guests. The deep fried pickles are a great way to start our meals so we get them nearly every time. I personally love getting a bunch of veggie side dishes, I feel like I'm eating home chilled food at Grandma 's house. The green beans are amazing! I like seeing the past, it seems like the past is being erased recently, and I like remembering things and products that were from a simpler time. It's a fun place to reminisce. I'm sorry to whomever reads this but My last several times at Cracker barrel haven't been very favorable. The store and everything still looks like the old Cracker Barrel but the quality and selections have a lot to be desired, now I'm from the south so this is supposed to be down home southern cooking right? Grits and gravy country. Well the quality has gone. the biscuits and country gravy? well it was a full order 2-biscuits and only a half full cup of some kinda white milky sauce with a couple of pepper flake in it i'm not sure but it was consistency of milk and water. It has absolutely no flavor and just flowed off the biscuits. I still don't know who thought hash brown casserole was a thing. They don't serve homestyle fried potatoes or just hash browns anymore. Now remember I'm from the south and Love fried chicken that's still okay but the portions are kids meal size now and what happened just a hamburger or to the fried chicken livers? anyone that's from the south knows that Livers, greens and beans are a staple. Here Home Cooking went by the wayside of how cheep can they feed you and still make you think that it's a country favorite. The management needs to stop cutting corners and put some quality back into there food or within a couple years this place will be rented out to another church. I think the management needs to be changed very disappointed and I will not return or take my customers to the place where a client of mine said the grits you could use for brick mortar. It's been awhile since we've been here. Everything was clean and they had new menus. We were craving fried chicken. The Southern Chicken meal has 4 pieces which is a lot! Lots of choices for sides. We had mixed reactions to the chicken. It was extra crispy but the Hubbs felt the oil needed to be changed and that the coating was too dark. I have a saying and here it goes, "if it's not broken, Don't fix it". This one review is going to be difficult since I am a fan of Cracker Barrel. It was a quiet Monday morning. We got seated right away and waited and waited some more We finally got our order in after the server apologized for being involved in a very large order and she was overwhelmed. My husbands biscuits and gravy looked like watered skim milk floating in a pool of thin floured liquid with a few flakes of pepper . How disappointing. The fish looked appetizing, but the breading was too much, it was more on the warm side, almost like it sat before it was brought out to us, and it had a bland taste. We don't really live close to a CB. So whenever I'm around one I have this weird need to have some. We ordered lots of food and honestly, though it's not the best quality of food, it's still a good value. We were able to get enough food to feed the 4 of us for $50 with enough left over for a few small bites. Here's what we got Chicken strips: Thick and well breaded. Good meat to breading ratio. Chicken fried chicken - basically the same as the strips but more meat Mac and Cheese - Meh the usual Green Beans - Meh morning special Pancakes - nice and crispy around the edges and buttery. Baked sweet potato - Very sweet, basically a dessert with marshmallows, and candied pecans Fruit cup - mostly pineapple, a few blueberries and strawberries Biscuits - They weren't dry, but they were almost undercooked, flavor was good though Fries - the usual, steak fries lightly seasoned Fried pickles - the flavor of these was ok, but the breading was cornmeal. I prefer batter. I also prefer a thicker pickle chip. Online ordering was efficient and they had curbside pick up which is always great. When we arrived, it was not busy and we were immediately seated. We were waited on quickly. Table was clean, waiter friendly, however oblivious. We were all seniors, and I was disappointed to not see a senior menu. On person ordered the caramel latte only to have it brought out with cream and caramel spilling all over the top of the mug. The server should not have brought that big out that way! When the food came, it was mostly satisfactory except the chicken sandwich had bacon on it that was not cooked properly and you could not pick it up to eat it with your hands because it was wet and soggy. The order was sent back but she never got a replacement before we were done eating so we shared our food with her and when the waiter who actually served us finally came by to ask her about her sandwich she said don't bother. It had been sent back with a different server because ours was nowhere to be seen. Overall the two stars is only because the rest of us had edible food on our plate. My family and friends visited this location for my father's 83rd birthday. Arianna made the experience wonderful. She took our food orders with nothing in hand - she memorized them. My dad was especially impressed. The rest of us were impressed when the food arrived as ordered. She knew who ordered each item. Arianna privately confirmed with me that we were celebrating my dad's birthday. She delivered a bowl of whipped cream with a candle for him, and she gave us clean plates and serving items to enjoy a cake we brought from outside. She was gracious and kind, even when we lingered at the table after we finished our meal. We arrived as the lunch crowd was clearing out, so as not to disrupt the service flow. My father claims this is his last birthday. He is in good health, so perhaps we will be able to celebrate his 84th at Arianna's table next year. read more

I am not familiar with Cracker Barrel because there are none around the area (Bay Area, CA). There's a couple locations in Sacramento, CA which is the closest one from South Bay. Still not close enough though. Since I am unfamiliar with the other locations and only been to this one, I'm not sure if their quality and service will be the same. I'd say my first experience was good with no complaints also with good service. Came to this location while driving down to Tucson from Phoenix. Why did we choose to eat here at 8pm? I have no idea but at least we weren't the only ones. I guess brunch is good any time of the day. I thought about getting something light since it was getting late but once I looked at the menu, I thought to myself "you know what.. I'm never here and I'll most likely will not go to the other location back in California any time soon" my worst habit honestly. So, did I get something light? No. Did I get the country fried steak, 2 sides, and a biscuit with no regrets? Yes. Country fried steak was good, gravy was good, and their biscuit was warm and soft. I had a chance to try the meatloaf and with a touch of Tabasco - good. Being so hungry after a long drive, flight, another long drive then finally eating, this really hit the spot. I came in for a quick meal before work and ordered the meatloaf. Unfortunately, it wasn't good. The texture was off and there were hard bits in the meat that made it unpleasant to eat. I didn't even finish it. I let my server know, and she went to get the manager. The manager did come over and said she'd see what she could do, but I never heard back from her. Instead, my server returned and offered me a $6 take-home meal. I initially thought it was being offered as compensation, but I was told I'd need to pay for it. That didn't make sense to me. I didn't understand how paying for another meal was supposed to make up for the one I couldn't eat, so I asked to speak to the manager again. The manager came back and then offered a free drink or dessert, which felt like an afterthought rather than a sincere effort to make things right. I understand the food issue wasn't the server's fault, but the way it was handled left a bad impression. So, it's been a year and we finally decided to go back to this Cracker Barrel. However, we decided to go back for breakfast. The food was delicious, hot and perfect. The server, David, absolutely made our breakfast fun. He is a marvelous server and we enjoyed him. He also confirmed that the catfish had been returned to the menu. That did it. Two days later we were back to Cracker Barrel. We asked for David but he wasn't working. A good server just completes the experience of a good meal. Teasingly we told the hostess to seat us with the second best server. We were seated in Brittany's section. Oh my! Our first impression was that she had an attitude but it was hit and miss. At some points she was over friendly and other times almost snotty. She wasn't what you would call competent either. The food was delicious and the catfish didn't disappoint. The quality of everything else is fair except that the eggs are smaller, Hash Browns are like a fried screen and the bacon is so thin it only has one side. I don't know this First Lady's name, but I sure did get the message on how she ranked me - definitely below dirty tables (there were plenty of clean, empty tables,). She said something to the second hostess (her name is Dani.) Dani said, "What do I do with them?" I didn't hear the response. Dani left the host station and went into the main area. She was gone 2 or 3 minutes. I have. a sometimes severe neurological disability that limits my ability to stand for extended (even two minutes) periods. I went in to one of the empty, clean tables and sat down. Dani came and asked me, "How many". I said "two". She said, 'Is this one ok?" It was a small two-top as you enter. I said 'No, I'd like a larger table.' he seemed confused and called the other hostsess about what to do with us. I said that I could see lots of elarger mpty, clean tables. She seemed confused. She called the other hostess on her walkie talkie. At this point I was frustrated. I asked for her name and then left the restaurant. My wife was just entering. I explained my frustration. She said that she would try. OIK....I entered and found her at one of the empty, clean tables. I asked to speak to a manager. One eventually arrived. Her name was Caitlyn. She said both of them are new and she would address this during coaching. She said they were busy cleaning tables. I said, "You are also telling how little you value me as a customer and that it was my fault to expect more." She sort of apologized, but really was telling me that I was wrong (again). We probably average three visits a week over a long, long period - probablty 299+ visits. We had dinner at the Casa Grande Cracker Barrel last night. The food was great and our server Madi did an outstanding job as always.

We had breakfast and for the second time the food was cold the coffee tasted too strong and had a bad taste ! Biscuits and gravy were cold the biscuit was hard a a rock! The apples were ok the sausage patties were small and cold! And to top it off the waitress gave me the wrong recipe! And very embarrassing when checking out! I left no tip and will not go back for breakfast. I hope with service like that Cracker Barrel does go out of business! read more

This cracker barrel is cute and clean, bathrooms are clean. We were seated quickly and the server was very efficient in taking our order and delivering the food. Husband had a delicious looking chicken pot pie, golden brown crust. Anxious to taste that first bite...he was very disappointed.
