Maybe so we went back again in a few weeks & it was just as good! Highly recommend the Hot & Sour Soup, which has a thicker broth than most. General Tao's chicken is very flavorful' not over spiced. The shrimp friend rice was loaded with shrimp & it was yummy too! Very healthy portions of Sweet & Sour Pork. I was on my way to the supermarket when I noticed this spot. I'd noticed it a couple of times, but I'd never been in. There was no one in there when I arrived. The staff was pleasant. I ordered beef with broccoli, white rice and a spring roll. No appetizers, just this combo special or whatever. After some quick shopping, my order was ready for pickup. It was still warm when I arrived at home. The food was okay. The spring roll tasted good. The beef with broccoli was a little bland. And the white rice was fine. I mean, it was white rice, but it was cooked well, a nice texture. I guess I'm happy that the food wasn't super salty or sweet or whatever. I could've used some soy sauce. I probably would only use like a third of a packet, but I didn't think to ask for any. There was a menu in my bag, but no duck sauce or soy sauce. I guess it's good not to be wasteful, but I was surprised. It was very close to being a really good meal, but a it was just okay. I give it a 3 out of 5, maybe 3.5 out of 5. I wouldn't round up though. Besides being a little bland, the portion was relatively small. Not a rip off or anything. Not by any means. But just an average value. I don't shop in that area all that often, but I may try it again. Maybe next time I'll get an appetizer and request condiments. read more

The staff was friendly and efficient. Everything was made up fresh - and fast. When we got home, everything was hot and tasty. Five of us dined on take out and all 5 of us raved about our meals. Egg Foo Young was made without onion, since our Aunt does not like onions. It was not a combination dinner, so it came with white rice. Husband and other Aunt had General Tso Chicken, which were also good. My sweet and sour pork was tasty, as was Uncle's Shrimp with lobster sauce. All 4 of us combination dinners, which included fried rice with eggrolls. The eggrolls were mostly vegetables. We also got fortune cookies with corny, sweet fortunes. I ordered egg drop wonton soup which had to be the worst I've ever had. I watered it down with a bit of chicken broth because it was way too thick, but that didn't help the rotten flavor. Nauseating. The chicken and broccoli I ordered was mostly sauce; a terrible brown oily sauce. The worst part of my order was the "chicken chow mein". I've got to say I am puzzled by all the bad reviews here for China King. I have been ordering from them to take home for years and have never had a problem. Thanks to China King, I learned my new cell phone number. They use your phone number and you have to give it again when you pick up your order. As I never call myself it was hard to learn. But ordering twice a week for awhile, the number was soon learned. Tonight I realized it had been about 6 months since my last visit so I called in my favorite order. Quart chicken chow mein, order of spring rolls, 4 fried chicken wings with chicken fried rice, and 3 packs of crispy noodles. The girl on the phone gave me the total , about $21.00 and said everything would be ready to pick up in 20 minutes. I brought everything home and shared the food with Dad. Everything was hot and very good. There was plenty of food for the two of us and we even have a little bit left over. A few words about the chicken wings. I noticed that these were different from the last time I had purchased them. Pulling apart the drummet from the flat, I could see that the bones were very dark so I knew they must have marinated the wings in Soy sauce or Teriyaki or both with some spices. Couldn't quite put my finger on the dominant spice, could have been a mixture. Maybe 5 spice, garlic, ginger, ect. Whatever it was it made me think of Anthony Bourdain and his passion for street food. After they marinate, they give the wings a light coating and deep fry them. A word of caution. If you order these, you will want to open the container and let them rest for about 15 minutes because they are rocket engine hot and you don't want to burn the roof of your mouth. Anyway, the meat is juicy and succulent and I found the flavor to be totally addictive. These are not your typical wings. They are different. They were closed for two months due to COVID-19 and just about two weeks ago they reopened and they had a whole set up so there is no contact with any customers all the workers wear masks and gloves, very clean environment and constantly keeps all surfaces sanitized for customers. This is probably our most favorite Chinese food anywhere twice a year my family visits from PA. my brother loves the food here so I always order and have it waiting for him. Terrible Customer Service. I stopped in to order from their menu for a to go order. The young lady behind the counter was short, curt, and did not allow me to finish a single sentence without interrupting me. As I started to ask the question again, she acted disturbed, stomped her foot and answered the phone all at the same time, leaving me standing there dazed and confused. I ordered spring rolls and vegetable lo mein with tofu added. Spring rolls were crunchy and tasty, lo mein was ok but at least not too much sauce or overly salty. Vegetables were crisp and it was good if you add chile oil (ask for the oil). Overall, still better than other Chinese takeout I've had in Pasco County and I would eat here again. Absolutely awful. Last night I called in an order for sesame chicken, General tsos chicken, Mongolian beef and vegetable fried rice. I picked it up and realized the Mongolian beef was missing, when I called them to tell them the man that answered was extremely rude, disrespectful and hung up on me after about 40 seconds. Food is mediocre at best- keeps you from starving. Soups are almost inedible- stomach turning. The mean-faced, very unpleasant girl behind the counter with the personality of a rattle snake is a big turnoff. Zero people skills which is not what's required in any restaurant business. read more
