The rice had no veggies, no egg, nothing other than a few pieces of pork. The wonton soup had a strange spice added, the wontons were tiny and pricey for what you get. We recently got takeout from Panda Chinese with my large extended family. Or should I say Penda, because that's what the sign says? What is with the replacement "E" Penda?! It used to be "Panda" and all of a sudden it's "Penda." Is it a new owner? Does Penda mean something in Mandarin or Cantonese? Google says no, but maybe it does. You've clearly replaced the "A" but the color is off. If the glass of the "A" broke, why wouldn't you just replace it?! You have the frame of the A. Why put up a whole different letter in a different color?! It looks like it fell off the back of a truck. The Penda situation is overshadowing the food question if I'm being honest. But since we're here for the food, I will say, I liked it. It was much better than usual Chinese Takeout places. And it is a take out place vs a sit down restaurant. Very utilitarian inside. Each dish tasted unique and like itself. Our only complaints, no one liked the Hot and Sour soup or the Shrimp egg rolls. Will not get again. But everything else was very good. My wife ordered the Kung pow chicken and it didn't give her an option on the DoorDash app to substitute White rice with fried rice, which was a bummer, but the food was good. We recently moved to the NPR area and have not ordered Chinese food apart from Panda Express. this restaurant is close to our home so I picked it mainly for that reason. The customer service was good, they have the lobby blocked off at the front door to where you have to hand them your card and it's pretty secure. It was 15 minutes from order to pick up. The fried rice didn't look like the normal rice you get from Chinese restaurants. It didn't taste the best either. It was bland and needed more spice. But, the rice wasn't bad either. My husband always has special requests for his curry because he doesn't like all the standard vegetables and they have never messed up an order or made me feel weird for making requests. This is my local Chinese restaurant and the one time I made a request of chicken being put on the side they just started being rude almost yelling at me just because I made that simple request. Then the guy started telling me that it's because of labor but how difficult is it to put an ingredient on the side plus labor is just a cost of doing business which he should consider when pricing his menu. We went back in to ask if he could fill it up and the "owner" refused to... We pointed out that we just paid 1.50 for an almost empty container.. At that time he actually began yelling at us...
