DROWNING IN BLAND SAUCE Ordered "Pork with Vegetables" from China King and what I got was a sad comedy show in a Styrofoam box. The pork? Thin, dry slices that looked like they'd been reheated three times and still begged for water. The "vegetables"? Mostly carrots--seriously, it felt like I ordered Carrots Deluxe with a side of disappointment. A couple of snow peas showed up, probably by accident, and then everything was drowned in a salty brown sauce so heavy it could've stripped paint. No balance, no flavor, just carrots swimming in sludge with pork jerky on top. If this is their idea of Chinese food, I'd hate to see what happens if you order something complicated. Save yourself the money--buy a bag of baby carrots, dump a bottle of soy sauce on them, and you'll have a better meal at home.

My absolute favorite spot to get Lo Mein. I have been going here for over a decade now and love it every single time. Quick fast and easy meal! The staff here is always so friendly, quick and efficient with my order.

Generally agree with other reviews that this is an OK spot for Chinese takeaway - the menu is mostly Americanized with your standard General Tso, Lo Mein, Chow Fun, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Spring Rolls, etc. The pricing is pretty reasonable for the convenience and portion, especially the lunch special combinations (which include a spring/egg roll and fried rice). The service is friendly and quick. I'd come back here for a quick take out order if I'm in the area.

I'm back. I had the Triple Delight again. It's very good. The service has definitely gotten better over the years. Quick service too.

Substandard Chinese food. It can help feed you, if you do not care about quality. Go elsewhere for something fresh and tasteful.

Chiko is no exception. A Korean-Chinese fusion concept with bright yellow and black decor, a friendly and responsive wait staff and a unique menu that won't be found elsewhere, we're working our way through the variety of bowls, dumplings and entrees that all combine multiple sweet, sour, and spicy elements as a foundation for the dishes. We knew nothing about Korean food, moving here from Colorado where everything was with steak or burgers. (I'm exaggerating a bit). The diverse population of the area is clearly reflected in the number and variety of restaurants. If you're not familiar with Korean food this is a good place to start at reasonable prices. They have a liquor license we. Parking is ample.

The dining room isn't very big, and since we came for an early dinner, we had our pick and chose a four-top with a view. Well... the view was basically the Paris Baguette that's across the street. The general manager came by to take our order. To drink, I had a mocktail, "house-made lime cooler," which consists of "pureed Asian pear, lime juice, and Sichuan tea." I found it to be very refreshing. My husband had a Coors Light. For my entree, I chose "Soy glazed brisket" which consists of "2Fifty Texas BBQ brisket, soy brined soft egg, furitake butter, pickled peppers, steamed rice". I liked this entree. It was mildly spiced; the pieces of brisket were properly prepared; the pickled peppers added some heat; and the soy-brined soft egg was a nice touch. The egg was soft-boiled, and the egg yolk provided a nice flavor. My husband chose "JJayJangmeon" which consists of "shrimp, scallops, roasted black bean sauce, noodles". The dish is made with wheat noodles. It arrived hot and with a nice vegetable garnish on top. The greenness of the vegetables made a nice contrast to the dark brown sauce. That brown sauce was hot, mild, and thoroughly coated the dish's ingredients. It seemed a bit unusual to see a dish with shrimp and scallops coated in a mild black bean sauce, but it worked nicely. The shrimp arrived tail-less, and the scallops were soft and not rubbery, both properly prepared. I was glad not to have to fight with the shrimp tails. All in all, we were glad we made a return visit.
