Catered food

I am reviewing on the food that was catered at a recent event. I got there late so I was eating everything cold but it was still so very good! I particularly loved the crab rangoon, which is a dish I order regularly when I eat Chinese food, and the shrimp toast! I have never heard or had shrimp toast before so this was my unexpected favorite! I also enjoyed the lo mein and other things I tried but have no idea what they are called. The only downside is they are so far away from me! I will definitely have to try ordering from them on my own if I am in the area!

A few weeks ago I went to get my nails done a few doors down from this "restaurant " and was hungry. I feel like getting a platter gives you a taste of everything. Every item in the platter was terrible!!! You can tell it was cooked days ago and reheated. This place should be closed to the public.

I have been going to Wei's Garden since I was 10. Today is my 20th birthday, and I have to say- nothing has changed. Sweet staff (that have a little trouble with English) and great food. I've had plenty of Chinese across Northern VA- and this is EASILY THE BEST. They know my family now and give us free egg rolls. Food is fresh and has real substance to it. I always get the sesame chicken with pork dumplings. Some things you can't beat. Wei's Garden is one of them. It seems like some people have had really negative experiences here, and that's incredibly unfortunate. I'd easily call this place the Best Chinese in Loudoun County. Definitely worth a try- just make sure to call ahead.

It's okay. One guy takes orders, cooks, and answers the phone. Not mind blowing - there are better options.

Good lunch specials. The guy was very nice, polite, and the order was quick. I had the orange chicken lunch special and it was pretty tasty.

I was really craving hand pulled noodles. Luckily I stumbled upon Yo Noodles as the closest thing…read moreto me (about an hour drive). What I enjoyed about Yo more than a place like Dumpling District (very similar in menu) was the quality and vibes of the service and atmosphere. The servers were very helpful to explain the dishes to my family members who needed some help. The food hit! The Spicy dry noodles are definitely what drew me to come here and they did not disappoint. My kids loved the pork chops. The seafood soup was loaded! The flavors were exceptional. And for as much food as we order, the price was pretty reasonable! We look forward to our next visit!

I used to come here pretty often, but as of our last visit, the quality has significantly tanked…read moreand it's pretty evident that they've started cutting corners. For example, the Panfried Pork Bun used to be my favorite item here but they've changed the recipe significantly. The pork filling used to be a lot larger and juicier...but now when you break open the bun, the filling is so small that half of the bun doesn't even have any meat. 80% of the bun is just dough and it's not fried well and quite greasy. Everything overall was way too greasy, including the crueller and the dry noodles were swimming in oil. I did like the texture of the noodles, but unfortunately it was overshadowed by the oiliness of the broth it was sitting in. It's really sad to see this place fall short since it opened a couple years ago. I'm hoping that they can improve their quality of food as it's really gone downhill since opening.

Chau's Cafe has been on and off my radar these past few years. When I saw that Yelp friend, Lyn L…read more went there recently and gave them high marks, we decided to give them a try. Be prepared to hunt for the place if you've never been to the shopping center, which is quite close to Route 7. We were here around 4 p.m. on a Saturday. At that time of day, there was one occupied table. Ordering food means going to the counter and giving your order to the person working there, and then paying. They have a menu on the wall, but the woman working there told us to look at the paper menu. Apparently, the menu on the wall is constantly changing. Before coming, we decided to order Mongolian beef, ma po tofu, and two small bowls of hot and sour soup. At first, my husband couldn't find the Mongolian beef on the menu. I took a look and found it is listed under the chef's specials. We gave our order and also got a can of ginger ale from the refrigerated chest. After paying, we chose a four top table for ourselves. The food came out quickly! First, the hot and sour soup came. It was served hot and did have some kick to it. We both enjoyed it. It does have quite a few button mushrooms in it, which I gave to my husband. Just as we were finishing the soup, both our entrees arrived. We both liked the Mongolian beef (which also had an abundance of button mushrooms). The sauce was tasty, and the beef was tender. As for the ma po tofu, we thought it was okay but could have been better. It's a meat-free entree that basically has large pieces of tofu, a lot of thin, spicy sauce, and bits of green onions. We each were given generous portions of white rice. We would consider visiting again in the future, as the service was excellent. As for ambiance, it has a carry-out place feel. It's kept quite clean.

I love that the portions are "just right"--decent sized without being overwhelming like most places. Plus, if you dine in, the food is out in 5-7 minutes. Super fast! Also, the restaurant and bathrooms are always clean.

You can't go wrong here!…read more I ordered delivery of some of my favorites: shrimp lo mein, combination fried rice and steamed pork dumplings. All excellent as usual. The food is fresh tasting. Never greasy or tasting like it's just been heated up.

FOOD/DRINK: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5…read moreEXPERIENCE: 4/5 We have been hearing the hype about Jasmine being the best Chinese food in Loudoun county. Finally, it came a day where we had time to go to Leesburg and try out their food. The ambiance was very much like the 90s Chinese restaurants - chandeliers, fish tank, and dark wood. We were seated immediately and were given water. My husband ordered a Shirley Temple ($3.50), while I ordered oolong tea. I was pleasantly surprised that it arrived in a tea pot (also 90s aesthetic) for $3! I easily got 3-4 cups of tea out of it. The oolong tea was perfectly steeped and warm enough to drink immediately. For food, we ordered sesame chicken, pork lo mein, and chose fried rice instead of steamed rice for the sesame chicken. Sesame chicken ($16)- the flavor was on point, but it wasn't as crispy as I like. Maybe there was too much sauce and it was originally more crispy Pork lo mein ($11) - I was hoping that it would arrive with red pork (char siu) and it did indeed!!!! The noodles weren't too oily and the char siu was roasted nicely, albeit dry in some pieces Side of fried rice - now, this is where it took a turn. It was hard from either not being cooked enough or from sitting out. We didn't enjoy this at all. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would come again for it as it's cheaper than most places around here. I also liked that you could pay right away with the electronic tablet they have. Our waitress didn't really check on us after we got our food, but we also weren't waiting around. I liked that they are open until 10 as well.
