I have tried different Chinese restaurants in the area. Some were ok others were disappointing. Went to China Kitchen as it was open and I was close by. For those who say the man at the counter seemed rude, I think it's due to a language barrier. He doesn't seem to speak English well but don't think he's being rude. I was able to ask for a change in the order but it took some time to get that across to the man. The orders were prepared quickly, exactly how I wanted and the taste was delicious! I ordered the chicken fried rice and got the small size by accident, Upon looking in the bag when I got to my car I noticed how small it was. I quickly rushed back and the man upfront helped me change the order to a large without any problems. I order extra chicken for only $1.50 and egg because I like it. The total was around $15 after tip and it was definitely worth it for the size. I do recommend a sauce like teriyaki,stir fry, or yum yum sauce though to add extra flavor. read more

Not impressed. This was my first visit and most likely my last. I ordered the eggrolls and some fried chicken. I watch the lady take the food out of the freezer right into the fryer so I doubt it was even fresh. Was no authentic flavor it was all very bland. The eggrolls tasted like something I could buy from Walmart and throw in the fryer myself. Just average Chinese food. We had beef broccoli and Kung pao chicken. The beef broccoli had both beef and chicken in it. The Kung pao chicken, traditionally a spicy dish, in this case was not spicy at all. We got each dish with chicken fried rice. We went at lunch for take out and the place was busy. Shrimp fried rice and fried chicken wings with no veggies, not a very standard Chinese dish, but it was pretty tasty. This place is the standard Chinese place found around these parts, the ones that all share the same menu, same flavor, but different names. The prices are great, service is alright when they aren't yelling at each other, its decent for what it is. As long as you know what you are walking into, you will enjoy your meal because every meal I have eaten from them has been well cooked. read more

Some of the best Chinese food I have ever had!! So delicious. I got chicken noodle soup one day and the chicken was so tender and juicy, not dry like most chicken in soup is. Another day I also got sweet and sour chicken and my boyfriend got general tso chicken. Both agreed that again, the chicken was very tender and juicy. Great flavor also. On the side we got pork fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was great, the outside wasn't very thick so it was easy to bite into and more stuff in the middle and less of the outside shell. I looked at other reviews before trying the buffet at China kitchen. They were encouraging, but now I wonder were they have eaten Asian food at. Ten dollars for the buffet was a good price, but the food was really bad. I tried all the items others said were so good, like the egg rolls and found them greasy and nothing but cabbage in side. My forearm got stuck to the table, so I used a napkin which stayed glued down... kinda gross. So unless you are really desperate for Chinese, but do not want to drive 20miles or more, I would suggest going to bed hungry and dreaming of food instead. read more

If you want very good Chinese, check this place out!!! Some of our family just moved here, so we didn't know where to go..... So glad we chose China Kitchen. They also have an "A", Health Department rating, which is important. We had wonton soup, fried and white rice, egg rolls, lo mein, and general tso's chicken. EVERYTHING was excellent! Drove about 7 minutes to get there, and the food was still piping hot when we got home. Service was quick and painless as well. This is the best Chinese we have had in a while! When we come back down to SC to visit, we will definitely be eating here for lunch and/or dinner! AWESOME!! read more

Second time ordering takeout at this pathetic excuse for a chinese restaurant. First time wasn't very good, gave them a second chance... big mistake. Ordered Seafood Delight...supposed to have jumbo shrimp, lobster meat, crab meat and scallops.... had some shrimp and Surimi (which is fake crab meat made of processed fish and starch) did not find even one piece of lobster, crab or scallops and to add insult to injury (this not so delightful dish was priced at $13.55) instead of putting our rice in a separate container, the rice was underneath the seafood delight mess... rice in container 70% , delight 30%. Fried dumplings were scorched on one side and steamed on the other put in a little water in the container ....terrible tasting. And let me tell you about their Wonton soup ..the liquid of the soup tasted like salty watered down chicken broth....more water than broth. There weren't any minced green onions and just tasted salty. Not only is the food way overpriced for what you get but it doesn't compare even slightly in taste to any other Chinese takeout Restaurant that I've patronized.
