Stopped by China Wok for Friday lunch and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered pork spring rolls, BBQ ribs, a pepper steak lunch special, chow mein special, and beef & broccoli. Every dish had great flavor and felt fresh, especially for a lunch combo. I definitely want to come back again to try their regular menu outside of the specials. The atmosphere is simple but cozy--it's more of a takeout spot with about three tables and a pickup window. Still, it felt welcoming, and the food spoke for itself. Let me be honest when I tell you that this is the BEST Chinese takeout I've ever had anywhere! The food is guaranteed HOT, fresh, and made to order every single time. And you will not be waiting more than 10 to 15 minutes for your order no matter how busy they are. I still don't know how they do it lol. We called our order in ahead and the associate that answered the phone took our order and repeated it 2, talk about striving for accuracy! That's extra points. FOOD: as I mentioned before the food was basically perfect. The quantities were vast and for 4 plates and some appetizers we ended up paying $57. Considering all of the food we got, the price seemed fair. They do charge extra for chili oil which surprised me but I just had to get it. FINAL VERDICT: I will definitely be coming back here. The owner and his family are wonderful and Will remember you even if they haven't see you for months. So personable. But let's talk about the food. I've never had anything there I didn't like. My go to is general tso chicken. It is just enough spice to give it a kick. It's perfection. I love their crab rangoons. And their shrimp egg rolls. I could go on and on. All of their food is great. Best Chinese food in Georgetown. Hands down! I always get the orange chicken as spicy as they can make it, which sometimes isn't spicy but it's still amazing. I also order the crab Rangoon. Chicken wings are phenomenal. Same with their steamed bao buns. My wife always gets the sesame chicken or Lo mein which is always pretty bangin. My only complaints is the shrimp sauce isn't the best and they need to have hibachi bowls or pad Thai on the menu! If they did they would run the 2 other Asian spots across the way out of business! Only Chinese food I eat in the world. I've been eating food from here my whole life. I no longer live in Savannah but when I'm in town visiting family this is a must stop. I was in Savannah a couple of weeks ago and I ate here almost everyday of the week. My fav is the shrimp egg foo young, with a side of broccoli cooked in brown sauce. They also have the best fried chicken. Everything is always cook fresh and ready in no longer than 15 minutes. On my last trip I tried the lemonade and omg the best lemonade ever!
