China Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant. The ambiance is kinda drab. Nothing very appealing about it other than pictures of some of their entrees. Service wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. I asked what vegetables come in the garlic chicken. He said a lot of vegetables. I had to ask several more times before he told me about 3 vegetables. I decided to try it minus the carrots. Later when I got home I discovered there were many more vegetables than what he said. A number of which I would have gotten it without them or chose a different entree. I was able to pick them out. It was pretty good. There was a lot of cream cheese in tge crab ragoon. We tried the broccoli chicken too. It had a strong distinct taste. I have tasted tgat before especially in broccoli chicken. Usually that is my go to order at multiple places. But I never want it here again. It was still edible but not what I expect or like for this dish. The rice was good. I keep forgetting that I need to give them advance notice to order the whole duck, which I have only wanted to try for about 3 years. I had only been to this place once before a few years ago and remember getting a huge st. paul sandwich that was pretty good. This time I went back for some chicken and fries. They had a special that was almost $8 with tax but I wanted to try it so oh well. I was very disapointed because the chicken wings were not breaded enough and the fries were overcooked. It was definitley not worth more than $4.99. The taste of the chicken was just ok, I ended up covering it with hot sauce to add more flavor. Their food is OK. My bad reviews isnt about their food.But having good food Isnt worth the trouble. The first time I went to this restaurant, I want to say the son, because it seemed like a family owned business, overcharged me. I called him out on it, and he argued back that because of the customization of my order, he had to charge me extra. But the customization was to hold an ingredient not to add. And the customization shouldn't have costed an additional $2.50. Nevertheless I still continued with my order made the purchase and left. The second visit I dealt with the father. The elderly patriarch in the store. This time he rang me out, and as plain as day overcharged me by four dollars. All I got was a half order of chicken fried rice, and order of crab Rangoon, and a side of rice sweet-and-sour sauce. It should've come out to 11.50 he hands me a bill for $16. This time he had no explanation. He just kind of grinned and looked at me like I caught him. I can't patronize businesses that don't respect me. I will NEVER patronize them nor will I suggest them to anyone in the future. If you decide to patronize them, count your bill. Doing business like this is equal to having disgusting food. read more

Reheated our soup in a countertop microwave, ugh. The egg drop and hot & sour soup were terrible. Both were lacking flavor and tasted nuked. The eggrolls weren't that good either. I got the General Tso's combo with fried rice. I really liked it. The fried rice was overcooked but I like my fried rice a little overcooked. The chicken was really tasty and flavorful. My go to order here is always the cashew chicken in gravy with fried rice combination plate it's pretty awesome and st.paul is great too. It's certainly worth a stop if you have a hankering for some Chinese food. Best crab rangoon in town!! Their hot and sour soup is spicier than other places but good with lots of stuff in it. Their lunch and dinner take out comes in Tupperware-like bowls in sizeable portions instead of the usual take-out boxes or styrofoam. They load the rice with the sauce and meat/veg together in this bowl. Very tasty. I love the sauce on their General Tso's & Sesame Chicken although admittedly there doesn't seem to be MUCH difference in the taste between these two meals but nonetheless still very good. And especially for their prices. Lunch specials come in a lunch-size bowl and your choice of 2 crab rangoon or 1 eggroll for only $4.95. read more

Mother in law treated us to dinner by ordering from China Kitchen tonight. Eggrolls were delicious and so were the chicken wings. I don't usually like sweet and sour but their shrimp sweet and sour was very good and also enormous. Their hot braised chicken and General Tso's tasted too similar. I didn't know which was which but they were good. When we went to pick up the order the staff was very friendly which was definitely a plus for me. Pretty good Chinese if your a local or in the area , I got general tso but tasted more like hot braised, although many say it's the same. Crab rangoon is delicious & sweet. Not too many places make it that way. Sweet & sour shrimp are huge & tAsty, the red sweet/sour sauce is ok, I prefer the lighter sauce (yellow). It's a very expensive place only comparing to the portions they give. Other places charge 6.00-6.75$ for combos. My combo 7.00$ shrimp (10$) came to 17$ for lunch. For that reason I won't eat there often. But if money is no object then the food is tasty read more

Ordered delivery last night. Took an hour and a half to get to our house. The restaurant is a mile and a half away. We received our food a half hour after they told us we would, AND we tipped 20% AHEAD OF TIME. Big mistake. The food was mediocre. They didn't even get my order right! The lo mein was literally spaghetti noodles--and they gave me beef, when I ordered pork. We've lived 2 mins from here for 18 years and this is the first time we've ever been there. I call that a tragedy! From the outside you maybe a little hesitant to go in but don't be! Upon entering I immediately noticed how clean it is. So clean! Yay! Sorry but that makes a huge difference to me. The lady that greeted us was so very kind and smiled the whole time. Again smiling is a big plus for me. Smilings my favorite! The wait wasn't long at all. First thing we looked at in the car was those crab Rangoon! Yum they were packed full of cream. That's a win! After getting home in 2 minutes we sat to eat. As expected the crab Rangoon was amazing. They are on the sweeter side. Perfect amount of cream to crunch. I've never had one better then here. We also got the chicken fried rice. I'll say it wasn't my favorite but definitely good. The rice wasn't as firm as others I've had. My veggie stir-fry tastes like the chef accidentally dropped 2 gallon of soy sauce in it. I am Chinese and I'm not really into pseudo-Chinese restaurants like Panda Express or PF Chang, but at least they made an effort to put some spin to their rendition, so even though they tasted nowhere near or as good as authentic Chinese food, they are consumable.
