I've eaten in the Restuarant and ordered carry out. Both times the staff was efficient, friendly and the food was some of the best Chinese I've ever experienced. Shrimp and veggies with brown sauce, pork and chicken fried rice, General Tso, Crab ragoons, wanton soup, all was delicious. I will continue to give my business to this place. Tried for the first time, for Chinese for it was sub-par. The best Chinese food option in Carroll County is still Forbidden City. The sauces in the food robbed it of flavor as it was sickly sweet taking away from the taste of food. I asked for extra spicy but tasted no spice. When packing up leftovers (as I could not stomach to eat much), the server placed the different leftovers into one box instead of separating them creating some weird asian food parfait. Misleading portion sizes! Pay for a quart and only get a pint! We have ordered take-out from China Manor for years and recently noticed inconsistent portion sizes when getting home. We even measured the container size to confirm my thoughts. For the price you pay here, you should be getting your money's worth and not be getting ripped off. read more

The food is really good. The staff are really nice. They will often just chat with you and will recognize repeat customers. The chef made some soup for us the last time we were there especially for my 1yr old. Such a kind guesture! We generally get the same thing because we really like it. Recently ate here and was extremely disappointed in the food quality. We got the sweet and sour chicken and while the presentation was nice the sweet and sour sause was way too sweet. The chicken was extremely overcooked and dried out, it was not edible. Mentioned this to our waitress and she shrugged her shoulders and took the plate away. Didn't say sorry or take it off the bill. It is a frequent choice for carry-out--our favorites being the shrimp fried rice (BIG shrimp!), & the egg rolls. I have ordered multiple times form here, and there is always something wrong with the order. Today the lunch I ordered for 4 people was disgusting. I got the chicken and broccoli which was in a thick gloppy white "sauce." Honestly it tasted like corn starch paste, so nasty! I called and the guy told me to mix soy sauce in it, which made it even more disgusting!! Sushi has always been warm when I got it, crab Rangoon is so gross too, it's a soggy, imitation crab mess. We were all grossed out that we had to order a pizza. We will NOT be ordering from here again. If you want really GOOD Chinese food, the best in the area is China Moon in Reisterstown, it's further for me to drive, but at least you are guaranteed awesome food! read more

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and were satisfied with the food and service for the most part; that is, until we asked the server for the bill. When she brought the bill over to us, not only did she not allow us any moment of privacy to discuss the bill, but she grabbed the food immediately and seemed to rush us. Then she kept standing there until we gave her the credit card, but once she brought it back she continued to stand there without giving us a moment. Finally, she had the audacity to command us to tip her even though we hardly had a chance to sign the receipt. We gave her the tip she so desired, but we will never spend another dime here again. read more

Went the first time at 5:30 on a Friday night. They were short staffed, looking at the ratio of wait staff to tables seated. Waitress did not keep an eye on us, just went from table to table, looking down instead of surveying her assigned section. We had dinner & ordered a soup to go for next day's dinner & found out at home we got a cheaper soup instead (though charged for more expensive soup). When I told the staff today what happened, there was no apology, just "wrong soup? Oh". Today, I said "I would like soup to go, the Triple Delight" I paid for it & in a few minutes another staff asked if I had been helped. Said I was waiting for soup. He checked the order slips - no soup. The 1st staff had written down Triple Delight MEAL. Problem was fixed, but again, no apology. Instead, I was told that next time I should write it down, instead of saying it. I have a very American accent, being born & raised in MD, and I won't return to a place which screwed up the orders twice, didn't apologize, and thinks it's my fault I don't speak English well enough & should write my order. read more

We have ordered from and visited this resteraunt many times since we moved to Hampstead 10 years ago. The food has always been good. They don' t like to deliver after 9. We ordered tonight and our sushi roll was drastically different from what we have ordered in the past. We always order the same thing. It's always over $40. We called to ask for the roll that we actually ordered and they argued with us. 2 hours later they sent out the owner to deliver the sam e thing that we didn't order. Again, more argument. The owner has always been hospitable, even to a fault. At one occassion he came to the table and added a citrus sauce to one of our rolls and completely ruined an expensive roll that I was enjoying as is. At this point, I would not order again. I would think, I have no idea what will be deliverred given that the roll that we have been ordering for years was not the same and had that citrus sauce.
