This is your typical Chinese food. The prices are great (especially for lunch) and the food comes in heavy portions. We will be back!

    General Tso's lunch portion. Delicious.

Pretty good food. Great prices vs quantity for lunch time portions. It solved my chinese food craving. I will go back.

A lunch reservation required on a weekday? Really. At Glyndon Grill, unless you are arriving by…read moresay 1:45am, the answer seems to be a resounding yes. By the time we left at 12:30pm, not a speare table was seen. And Glyndon Grill serves its popularity. What makes a lunch spot (they are open for dinner too) so very popular. Adjacency to the always-popular-and-stellar Santoni's Market cannot hurt, not can the upscale neighborhood, but come for the food and service. I was focused on health-conscious fare, the the menu offered a diversity of intriguing choices. My premixed (with dressings on the side) Cobb Salad was wonderful. I could choose just how much of the mouth-watering fried chicken morsels I did and did not ant to eat, calorically. My tablemate, also watching pounds and inches, got the grilled salmon with broccoli. Neither could have been better. Best of all was our waitress Anne. Ask for her by name. Supreme professionalism dripped from her every word and action. Attentiveness and pleasant without being obtrusive at all. Yes she probably wanted to turn the table (but you could not tell unless you intuited that fact), and we accommodated because her happiness made us happy too.

This used to be one of my favorite lunchtime spots, but unfortunately my most recent experience…read morechanged my perspective. Our waitress, Sara initially seemed pleasant. However, I had to repeatedly flag her down to place our order and again later to request boxes after our food arrived. During this interaction, her tone also came across as somewhat dismissive and unprofessional when I explained that we were on a time constraint due to a meeting. After paying the bill, I was interrupted as I was leaving and asked whether I had accidentally given her the wrong receipt copy. Once it was confirmed that the receipt was correct, she directly questioned why she had not received a tip and whether she had done something wrong. While I understand that tipping is an important part of the restaurant industry, I personally base tips on the overall quality, attentiveness, and professionalism of the service experience. In this case, I did not feel the service went beyond basic expectations. What made the situation especially unacceptable was then being called "rude" as I was leaving the establishment. Regardless of differing opinions on tipping, I believe those conversations should be handled professionally and privately. The interaction left me disappointed and will make me reconsider returning in the future.

I enjoyed my meal but for the uneven temperatures. I would have like everything hotter. The potatoes were hot, the roasted vegetables were warm and and the cod was tepid. I A guest ordered the cream of crab soup and it came out warm so was sent back. All those who got the crab cake were delighted. 3 crab soups were enjoyed and I ended up with 2 great appetizers: the oven fried octopus & the lamb chops , very meaty and a pleasant surprise. One guest got eggplant and spaghetti. Since we are expecting a snow storm I have two doggie bags the Papillion will not be sharing. We were in a room with another much larger party, we were a party of 7. They were louder than us but we had no complaints as we had no problem hearing each other. The building Maria's is in apparently was a former karaoke bar and before that a lovely house. The menu is eclectic : Italian, Greek, Chesapeake Bay &, some Mexican food thrown in. My biggest complaint is the uneven temperature of the food. The kitchen might wish to get their act together. Meanwhile, this weekend at home I'll be eating my delicious cod & vegetables and maybe some spaghetti another night. One more plus: very accommodating as far as adjusting the plates for those lactose & butter intolerant

We ordered Old Bay wings, Greek salad, cornbeef egg rolls a blackberry and strawberry vodka lemondaez. I then ordered a blackberry margarita with premium tequila. When the check came out the wings were priced differently then the menu. But we were told that the print was not clear. It clearly said 13.99 but the bill was paid either way. The customer service is dwindling. The spirited drinks are good on certain days as they change bartenders. I have no complaints on my spirited drinks. Thats the highlight of my visits to Maria's.

I love how sweet and attentive the bartenders were. The gentleman that made my drink, an Italian margarita, was so sweet and can make one hell of a drink! I'm sure this is a place that has potential and can get very busy. With the customer service I experienced I'm sure this business has some longevity. There are lots of TVs and a big screen projector to catch the games. They had the NFL Playoffs on while I was there. The menu is extensive. There is a variety of food selections from salads, burgers, crab cakes etc. And then the typical bar food like mozzarella sticks, fried shrimp, wings etc. Due to being really into some heavy catching up with my friend I didn't get to snap any photos but I'll return again soon!

The one directing things was excellent. All went well until the tale of the checks. I split with one person at the table and they paid their half in cash. I gave my card for other half. Should have been charged $60 some dollars. Trainee came back with a ticket for $175 -wasn't our tables check. She went back and came to table with a check for $137. Again not our tables check. At that point SHE said she would have manager come out. Then she came back several times and said the manager would be out shortly. At that point she presented correct check but buy them I wanted manager. She told us that the manager was too busy to come out despite her originally volunteering the manager. So I left with trepidation and a bad taste. All in all I would likely go back with cash for the food alone.

This bar does not give any presentation or flair to their non alcoholic beverages. Pom and Circumstance was zesty and sweet . The Half Moon drink was nothing more than grapefruit juice with a cherry . I was expecting more presentation since it's literally a tonic. I would like to mention that the bar was slammed with guests and the tables were not getting their drinks on time. So, maybe it was a slippery Sunday night for the bar and my zero proof drinks lacked in pizazz. The watermelon salad was a wild card choice as Glenwoods does not have much fresh fruit on the menu. I wish it was not so chunky ... chunks of watermelon and tomato covered in a balsamic sauce and feta cheese. This salad pairs nicely with the arugula. The sides were hot and came out expeditiously. The burger was undercooked and the server offered to re-Fire a new burger. 5 out 10 night .
