I was in the area after going to my dentist appointment. I had a taste for some good ole shrimp fried rice, so I go to my old faithful, Yelp. China Wok was the closest and I really didn't want to go out of my way home to get food, so I decided to go here. I ordered 5 chicken wing basket, with fried rice, shrimp added. I was told 15 min on the phone, I was there in 5 because I was literally around the corner. I get to the place walk in, and was stopped by a line of chairs preventing you from coming in, I guess due to Covid. I asked for my order and was told the total was $17, I ask are you sure that its my order, and he says yes, and proceeds to read off the order, it was mines......I ask for the breakdown of the bill and was told the wings and rice were $11, and having the shrimp added was an additional $5, I told them to keep it, and I ended up going to the Peruvian place a couple of doors down Pollo Amigo. read more

If you are looking for an average, quick meal eat here. Mostly underwhelming but inexpensive. The food was bland and the service was curt. Driving 15 minutes in traffic to another place would have been a better choice. So I will probably look for another place to eat when craving chinese food while at work. I had lunch here 2 days ago. We had the 4 Season. The food was fresh and hot and had a great flavor. (The barbecue pork was a bit tough, but had a good flavor.). We als had shrimp egg rolls. I have been looking for a good Chinese carry out for 3 years since I moved to the city. Before this I had used the same carry out in Glen Burnie for 35 years. Every place I tried was either only acceptable or just plain terrible. I had resolved myself to a long drive every tome I wanted Chinese. Then I tried China Wok. The food here is horrible. I don't know why they called that orange chicken but it is not. The sauce would taste OK but the chicken is absolutely horrendous. It's tough and tastes old, like the rice. I have never had old tasting rice until I started eating here. I think it was probably left over or out all day or something. And every time I go over there there are kids playing around in the dining room area. I hope they're not touching my food. Also, when you call you can hear them in the background and you can hear all this noise in the background when nobody eats in there. It's just a pick up kind of place.. Never going back. My sister said let's go get some Chinese food at my spot. I haven't been here since the change in management, but I wasn't nervous because she raves about this place weekly. I ordered the general tso's chicken dinner combination with pork fried rice and an egg roll and some crab Rangoon. The food had excellent flavor, good quality and was prepared just right!! The customer service in addition to the good food made this a great experience for me. I spoke with the owner who said "he has mumbo sauce" being from the PG/DC area I had to sample it, and he handed me a sample. I will admit, it's not like the mumbo sauce back home, but it is a close and good comparison. He then informed me that he was from Silver Spring...so he might now a little bit about mumbo sauce. This was the worst Chinese food I've ever had..and I will eat just about anything. The sesame chicken was flavorless with no sauce at all. Well, my husband and I received a menu today on our door from this restaurant, and being that they deliver, thought we might as well try the food. Big mistake! The delivery driver was rude and demanded a tip before my husband was finished signing the receipt. Then, we look at the food. My sweet and sour chicken was very over done, the "crab meat" wontons hardly had any filling, my husband's General Tso's tasted awful- not like General Tso's at all. I eat Chinese food at least once a week here, ever since the new ownership has taken over the food is great, the service is fast and extremely friendly. The best part hands down is there egg rolls. Ordered online and email said delivery would be in 45 minutes. After waiting an hour and 10 minutes I called and was told that they could not deliver to me unless I waited another 45 minutes for special delivery. That was absurd and I chose to go and get the food instead. They offer free delivery over $10, yet online they charged me for delivery. When got home and finally had a chance to eat almost 2 hours later from ordering food was warm and not hot. The food was ok. Stay away unless you chose to pickup, even then maybe look elsewhere. read more
