I went here for my first time today on my lunch break after discovering them on yelp and the good reviews. All i can say is that the foos was prepared quickly and was hot. Other than that, nothing else was good. The food was hot and fresh but had no flavor and the meat had a weird consistency. I ordered the general chicken lunch special. The lunch specials say they come with soup. One was not with my order and so I asked and they said they no longer provide soup for the lunch specials. With how bland the food was, I would've rather ate at Panda Express. Maybe I just got a bad batch but I do not understand why this place is so highly rated. read more

No! No! No! I rarely write negative reviews, but I just had to with this place. I recently moved to Moreno Valley and I was craving Chinese food and I'm very close to this restaurant. First off, the man at the front is extremely rude. And the food has zero to no flavor. I saw a review where someone said Panda Express was better, and I sadly agree. The food has no flavor, I asked for extra siracha, and the guy at front said "okay" and only gave me 2. This was the first, but definitely the last time I come here. If you love good Chinese food, I wouldn't come here. If you have a basic taste pallet, and don't care about customer service, then you will be okay. And mind you, I did a phone order. Delicious food and the quantity they give is great, you can't go wrong with chowmein, fried rice, orange chicken and some delicious broccoli and beef. They always throw in abit of extra when we order each come individually and it'll feed our household specially when the kids are over on the weekends. So I was grateful for the menu on the counter, I pointed out what I wanted, the guy behind the register was absolutely rude and told someone else to deal with me because he could not understand me. This was my first time trying them. They have delivery which is great. I live 5 miles away but it took over an hour for them to get here. When the delivery guy got here he reeked of cigarettes and 2 of my take out boxes were open. He was super rude and didn't even say hi. The only reason I'm giving three stars at all is because the food was great. I might go into the restaurant and eat there just because the food is good, and hopefully they are more polite in person. We will not be using china one anymore. We ordered food for delivery around 6:15, the arrival time we were told was 7:20. Our food arrived at 7:50...cold.....not fresh. Came in here for the first time tonight, order chow mein and orange chicken. The noodles were okay, but the chicken was too breaded hardly any chicken. Besides that they only have one serving size, which happens to be a lot of food. I would recommend to only order one order of noodles instead of two. My favorite place to eat! I'm hard to please, however this place has the best customer service and food. They all are very nice and explain the dishes when questions are asked. They take their time to cook, and their food shows it. Love the freshness, and the tastes are amazing. I'm a huge fan of their shrimp chow mien, Kung Pao Chicken, orange chicken, and I always upgrade my meal with their delicious house fried rice. Oh and all their egg rolls and wontons are delicious too! Side Note: I've seen so many places come and go in this spot, and they all deserved to go. "I can't decide if I want them to go out of business or stay open" I've gone to China One 6-8 times now. Parking is not great, but I had heard good things so I wanted to give it a try. The Staff: I have never had a pleasant or even okay experience with any of the staff. They have always been rude to me. No matter how nice and polite I am, they always manage to make me feel like they wish I wasn't there buying food. I sent the girlfriend in the last time and she had the exact same reaction. The Menu: They have a wide variety of items to choose from. But what is most disappointing is, unless you get there before 4pm, you'll pay $8-15 for any and all dishes. They Do Not offer combination plates (rice/chow mein and item). You have to get each item separately. Which makes rice and a chicken item almost $20. That feels a bit ridiculous to me and I have never been back before 4. I've had a number of experiences where they've forgotten items. I've learnt that they I need to ask for the soup while I am waiting for my to-go order because they will not package it to go. Even though it still comes in the Styrofoam container. So, I usually place my order and ask for the soup while I am waiting. If they forget to give it to me, they just tell me "sorry, you can't have it to go" and I have to choose between no soup and eating it at their table while my food gets cold. This is a pretty typical experience. They usually wait until the food is almost ready to give me the soup. They don't need to make it. The vat of soup and the bowl is right next to the register. Food: The food is actually pretty good. Honestly, I wish it wasn't. I like it- so I go back. But I hate going here. It makes it to where I can't decide if I want them to go out of business or stay open. I usually get the Cashew Chicken no celery with mostly rice and a little chow mein. The rice reminds me of white fried rice. I like It a lot, though it is a little lacking in flavour. The food tastes fresh and is usually very warm to hot. I've had the orange chicken and didn't care for it. And, I've tried a few other items and just felt like it was mediocre. I went to China One today,and let me tell you my experience. 1. I ordered the Egg Foo Yung, and it was very good. As a matter of fact it was one of the best dishes of Egg Foo Yung I have tasted. 2. Now for the not so good stuff. I decided to eat in the restaurant which was a BIG MISTAKE. The service was TERRIBLE. 3. I had water with my meal, and the fountain drinks were available for anyone to refill there own beverage. 4. However there was a 5 or 6 year old child guarding the drink machine making sure if you had a water cup that's all you were going to get. I'm old enough to be this kids grandfather two times, and I really don't need a toddler monitoring what I drink. 5. Very disrespectful behavior to older people patronizing this business. 6. Finally got to try this new place in MV. We were very pleased with the wide selection and cleanliness of the place. Ordered the Walnut Shrimp, and Lemon Chicken. The Walnut Shrimp was excellent. The Lemon Chicken was tasty, but a little over cooked. Both were served with large portions and all prepared fresh, with a lot of rice. Prices are good, but a little higher than other Chinese places. However, quality and freshness costs a little more, so don't pass this place by for that. Beats the pants off those other restaurants with pre-made food under food warmers. Definitely worth a visit. I went to China One because of the reviews on yelp. The reviewers hit the nail on the head. This place was great, the food was fresh and flavorful. I ordered the beef chow mein(the best I've tasted ever) and the Mongolian beef. The Mongolian beef had just the right amount of spice, with a touch of sweetness. The chow mein was delightful as I mentioned before. There portions were very large, enough to share with another person. The people working there were all polite and friendly. When we sat down the manager, Benny waited on us. It seems you can also order at the counter, but we sat down to decide and Benny just happened to show up and take our order. If your looking for a Chinese restaurant where they have food on steam tables, then this isn't it. They cook the food after you place your order. I guess it is kind of a cross between a fast food take out, and the freshness of a sit down Chinese restaurant. This is my new favorite Chinese food restaurant, sorry Canton, and Panda Express. read more

The blend of chicken, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and seasonings is very tasty. As a fan of Chicken Lettuce Wraps from BJ's and PF Chang's, this one from China One wins hands down. I made a recommendation for dinner last night. My daughter was skeptical, as she had never tried China One's food. I ordered food for myself, my oldest daughter, her boyfriend, and my youngest daughter. I think they enjoyed the food as well. Let's just say they had food comas when they all retired for the evening. So, here's a breakdown of my order: 1. Crab Rangoon 2. Spicy Chicken Wings 3. Pad Thai Spicy Noodles 4. Chicken Lettuce Wraps-if you've not tried their version, do yourself a favor and order it the next time you go. I shared with both my daughters and future son-in-law. I love that the iceberg lettuce that's served with this dish are huge! My youngest stuffed her lettuce leaf like she was making a burrito and although the side sauce was a bit salty to her, she liked it. I used to just order the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and a size of steamed rice and that's how I would eat it. Lol. Hey, whatever works! Honey Walnut Shrimp - I ordered this for my youngest and she was impressed. She normally orders Panda Express' version of this dish. The shrimp were a nice size, lightly breaded, crispy. The honey sauce was not overwhelming. The walnuts were chopped up a good size not too big not too small. House Fried Rice-for my youngest daughter-she loves fried rice any which way she can get it. I love China One's House Fried Rice as it's not heavy, not greasy, the ingredients are fresh - they pile the meats and shrimp on this baby! This can even be a meal by itself. Mongolian Beef-tender slices of beef, sautéed with onions and slices of green bell pepper. Perfect amount of tender beef and veggie crunch. Chicken & String Beans in Black Bean Sauce-I'm definitely ordering this next time! Chicken not overcooked, string beans had just the right amount of crunch, the black bean sauce is exactly how I remember. Not thick, not runny, not salty. Just right. Sliced BBQ Pork-I'm on the fence about this. Sometimes, when I order BBQ Pork from other places the taste is a bit overpowering and it ruins it for me. I think the overpowering flavor and the fact that the BBQ pork wasn't as tender as I'd like made me think twice on my choice. I must warn you, fellow Yelpers. The PORTIONS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD! Like this place. A lot. I usually order the hong kong style chow mein and honey walnut shrimp. My Chinese food staples. This place is not like most fast food Chinese food. The food is very much waiter-service, sit-down restaurant type quality without the long wait and the crappy service. Good sized portions for the prices and the best Chinese food you can get in the MoVal area. I grew up around the Rowland Heights area, so I'm use to all that food, but this place is right up there.
