I love supporting local businesses, so this review isn't coming from a place of hate at all. But I have to be honest--I'm still trying to figure out how we spent almost $80 for three people at a Mongolian BBQ that's advertised at $7.99 per pound. The food was good, and I enjoyed it, but the final bill shocked me. Maybe the weight adds up faster than I realized, but when I looked at what we paid versus what we got, something just felt off. Again, the food wasn't bad. I just didn't walk away feeling like the value matched the total. For nearly $80, I honestly feel like we could have gone to a full-service restaurant and spent less. I can't justify the cost it's 90 percent noodles ! Plus they charge per pound for the rice as well! Just my experience. One of the better spots around. You pick and choose what you want to eat, and how much of each. It even has sauces for you to choose from. Then you give it to the cooks where they cook everything in front of you and give it to you to eat. The staff were all nice. Aside from taking the money and cooking the food they don't do too much else tho. They give it to you in a styrofoam container and with plastic silverware, which I'm not a fan of. Love coming to this location for Mongolian. It's self served and charged by weight ! Food is very good specially when you choose what goes on your plate. Food is made very fast and in front of you. I was disappointed with the take out food we ordered. We spent over $40 for 3 items. The rice was old and mildew we threw it out. The kung pao chicken wasn't even cooked all the way. Wow the food is great, I say "is" cause I'm eating it as a type this review get to choose your own food and your pay $5.99/lbs of food. Mine was 2lbs I paid $18.00 but it's enough for two people! Meat choices they had shrimp, lamb, imitation crab, beef, chicken All the veggies you could want and oils to add too. We first walked in lady greeted us with a smile, we told her it was our first time and she showed us around and showed us how to make our own plates with many variety of meats, spices, veggies and noodles. Your choices are placed in your bowl, you take it to the cook who cooks it in front of you on the hot stone. Your choice of rice, oils or marinate. They also have Chinese platters. Their Mongolian beef dish was extremely good with the beef being very tender and delicious. Service was over the top with the waitress just wanting to please us. This is a small family owned business in a very small strip mall and easy to miss. Keep your eyes open it's worth going to. read more

The Mongolian is a bit more expensive due to you paying by weight but it's honestly worth the quality and service you get. This last time I went my food was a bit too salty I expressed my concern and they offered to make me a new plate. My first time here since the new ownership today. I have to say I was worried at first because i really like the food here, and seeing that you pay by the pound I thought I might end up paying a lot more than when it was $9.99 for as much as you can fit in a bowl. Thankfully, I was wrong. When you think about it, $5.99 a pound means to get to the $9.99 price, that's over a pound and a half of food. Who can eat that much? So I filled the newer, larger bowl and had a different strategy. Not so many noodles, much more meat. Remember, noodles weigh more than meat and you're paying by the pound. Went for light weight toppings like bean sprouts, bamboo and water chestnuts. Got to put on plenty of sauce thanks to the larger bowl and ended up with just over 2 pounds of food which did come to a few dollars more than before, but I'll be eating on this for at least 4 meals, so definitely worth it. Also, it was nice not to have the mean lady watching me make my bowl and telling me to stop touching my meat. Made me feel like I was back in Junior High sometimes. Definitely recommend trying this place or trying it again if something turned you off in the past. It's much friendlier and much cleaner now. read more

Pretty decent place for Mongolian BBQ. For the Mongolian BBQ, you get a bowl, build it all yourself and they cook it. So you choose the meat you want first, and then the veggies. The biggest downside of this place is you also have scoop out the noodles and pour the sauces yourself too, it can get pretty messy. Expect the noodles to be overflowing. Some places add noodles and sauces for you, so it's a drawback for me for sure. The lunch special is a pretty good deal. It kinda gets busy at dinner time. I'm normally okay with a wait, but I'm not really fond of holding onto a bowl overflowing with noodles and dripping with sauce while waiting for the grill to be available. Food: Food can get a little dry at times depending on how the chefs cook the dish. But because it's AYCE, it's very well worth the price with the different ingredients they have to choose from. I was gonna eat a salad anyways so I ended up just getting a lot of, mushrooms, spinach and meat. (they have turkey, chicken, lamb, and beef). They also have a lot of sauces to choose from but that's probably the only way to make the food taste good since it ends up coming out dry off the frying stone. Service: Service is lowkey bad. There are no servers, the chefs that cook on the frying stone look like they don't care about their jobs at all and they look like they hate their lives. The only thing saving this from a two star review is the food and the lady behind the cash register that was a little nice. Overall, I did like this place, not a lot, but not that much. Our family has being going to this place for years, they love food from the previous owners, they we're friendly, she would serve you the food, you picked out! Recently they were purchased by new management/ ownership they closed its doors to remodel & spent a lot of money in the remodel the restaurant & bathrooms too, it look upscale very nice! They charge for food now, by the pound, @ $6.00, it's not cheap if you go up more then once it could be $18.00-$25.00 per person. This is not finger food, there are a lot of places to go to dinner in MoVal especially at that price point! So here is my issue why serve the food with plastic utensils & styrofoam to go containers! Why spend all the money in updating in upgrading the restaurant? Then not have regular plates and metal forks, spoons spreading knives. Makes no sense at this prices point ! read more

You can get a BBQ plate that can easily serve 2 people for $6.99. If you prefer the all you can eat it is $10.25. What a killer deal.
