Quality of chicken can be questionable. Most of the time the chicken seems like scrap pieces of some kind of chicken. Wife found bones in hers. The owner rounds up the bill. I've been here several times with my kid. We only get the fried rice, so I can't say much on the variety of the food or the quality of anything other than the rice, but most of the time it's spot-on, exactly as advertised, good ol' fried rice. Once it's been slightly undercooked, so it was just a tad crunchy in the middle of the rice grains, but that only happened one time, so maybe it was an off day. A tip: If you order chicken fried rice, you'll get a LOT of chicken, so if that's what you're looking for, basically a 1 to 1 ratio of chicken to rice, this is the place to go. The service is...spotty. There's one guy on the wait staff who's very polite and attentive, one who won't come over unless you wave, and then there's a woman who looks profoundly unhappy to be there at all. She's looked and behaved that way every time we've come in, and it's kind of off-putting, but she's never been outright rude, so at least there's that. I'm giving 4 stars because, despite the occasional lack in social graces, this place is clean, fast, reasonably priced, close by, and the food is tasty (or, at least, the one thing I've eaten here is tasty). read more

MY FAVORITE !! So I have ordered here for quite sometime and never did a review but decided I should. I love their Won ton soup, it is loaded with veggies too. I eat the Beef Chow-main, my husband likes the veggies in a bowl sauce. Their BBQ ribs are yummy. Unfortunately this place is a no-go for me after my experience today. Came in around lunch time and placed a to go order. I was charged the .50 credit fee, which was annoying but whatever. I wait for my food, and when it arrives, I ask for two bags of crispy chips for the two large soups. He proceeded to tell me that they are $1.00 a piece and ran my card again plus the .50 fee. I asked him that the chips are normally included with soups in most restaurants, as I already paid $15 for the soups. He had the nerve to suggest I wanted to eat food for free. After I just paid him $35! He then laughed at me when I told him that there are many Asian restaurants in the vicinity that care about their customers. Now look, I work hard for my money just as much as you, the person reading this does. I will not give money to a business that treats me that way. It's one thing to disagree, but quite another to be treated this way. All in all, this restaurant is average. The hot and sour soup is good. The eggrolls drip in grease. The rice tastes three days old, and every chicken entree has more of everything in it besides chicken. Save yourself the headache of this ungrateful man. Go somewhere else. After a long day at the lake , we decided just to get some takeout for dinner. What a mistake! They messed up our order so one of the items was missing then didn't even offer an apology. The yu sham chicken was supposed to have a "hot garlic sauce". It was very sweet and not very tasty. The broccoli beef dish was also sweet. Maybe they used the same sauce? The lo mein chicken had undercooked noodles and very bland. The only thing that was halfway good was the egg rolls. China Place is the best food! The portions are large and a good price. I have a food allergy and they will make my cashew chicken for me without what I can not have. I usually get their specials so I get a little of everything. China Place is in my phone contacts so I can call and order the Crab Angels for a quick treat when I am out and about. I live in the neighborhood across the street from this place, and so I've driven past it for a good year and a half. I had ordered from them a few months prior, but that was just wonton soup so I decided to go back and try the food. I got one of the lunch specials - sweet and sour chicken - and for $6 it was a TON of food. I don't know what they put in the brown-colored rice but it was AMAZING. I had enough left over for another meal (I could have eaten all of it then but I had to force myself to stop so I didn't hate myself later haha) With the lunch special you get the main dish, and then two huge sides of rice and those little cream cheese wonton things. I placed my order over the phone and they gave me a reasonable time frame. I like that they have a drive through for order pickups, because I can just see this tiny parking lot being a nightmare during busy times. Awful service and mediocre food. They took the time to advertise at my apartment complex with menus and coupons so my husband and I went one night and were met with a man counting the cash register drawer 2 1/2 hours before close even though there were other people in the restaurant. We were not greeted at all until I prompted the man who just told us to sit somewhere. No menus. No silverware. We had to stop the waitress who didn't even come over at all in the first 25 minutes. She took our drink order and brought them out 15 minutes later even though there was only one other table in the whole restaurant. Then we had to flag her down again to order food. We did not get refills the whole time we were there, and when our food came she set it on the opposite end of the table from us without saying a word. Finally, when we went to pay we noticed our bill was about $12 more than we had expected. When we brought it up with the man at the register he said it was because we had been looking at the menus that we brought with us from our apartment and not the in-house menu. They never even gave us an "in-house menu"!! The man would not listen to us and the experience overall was horrible. I would give a 0 star rating if I could. read more

I've been going here since I was about 5. I love coming here. They are always so friendly and they make sure to keep checking up on the drink refills and anything else. The food is very very fresh, always comes out nice and fresh. You can tell they get fresh vegetables. I always get their egg fried rice and orange chicken. I'd say they do give you a lot of orange chicken and very little rice but I can't complain because it's just super good. I used to love this restaurant but something has happend over the last few years that has made this place less desirable. I had the sweet and sour chicken. The breading and texture is crispy and tasty but the chicken looks mostly like dark meat and unidentifiable meat. The fried rice is good. I have also had the orange chicken which is pretty good and the sesame chicken which is probably my favorite. Both come in very small breaded bits that make for excellent leftovers. I gave China Place a three because no matter how much you order it never takes them more than 10 minutes to have it ready for pick up and most things make good left overs. Some of the best Chinese delivery I've had. Wonderful crab angels and egg drop soup. The shrimp was fresh and vegetables cooked the best way! I feel people always find a need to complain about things , so take old reviews with a grain of salt and definitely give this place a try. I've been coming here ever since I was little and even though I moved out of Arizona for 7 years I finally moved back and the first place I wanted to go eat at was China Place. Their food is just as good as I remembered and the staff still remembers me and my family. We usually gets the house lo mein, sweet and sour shrimp (and walnut shrimp but I didn't see it on the menu last time I went :( aww ) and seafood soup with these deep fried wanton chips on the side to snack on.
