    BEST GREEN TEA

Never disappoints!! The BEST green tea and their service is always speedy. The food is 5-stars and the staff is friendly. Great lunch specials.

Haven't been to George's in several years but brought my son-in-law today for his enjoyment. He is from Hawaii and has a discerning opinion regarding Chinese food. We arrived around noon on a Friday and there were only seven tables filled. Hopefully they go more business after we left. We were pleasantly greeted, seated and offered drinks within 2 minutes. My son-in-law ordered a Coke and a Beef with Broccoli lunch plate. I got my standard General Yang's Chicken and a water. In all it came to $32.45, which was a great price for the value. Our soup arrived within five minutes and our plates shortly afterwards. George and Son's have not missed a beat for their outstanding service, food and value. It was just as savory, spicy, sweet, umami packed as I'd remembered. My son-in-law, however, declared that... Drum roll please...it was in his top two experiences of his life. That was a major endorsement. Please come to George and Son's for a great meal. You will thank my son-in-law.

Came back to try their lunch. It's kinda dark inside especially after coming in from the bright sun. I got the tres amigos which includes chicken, shrimp & beef. I asked for no shrimp. It was okay. Didn't like the meats that big pieces & there's mushrooms. The lunch entree's come with egg drop soup, egg roll, crab puff, rice & noodles. My sister got the orange chicken and it was so good. Definitely should have got this! Next time I will. Great lunch specials!

Dragon and Phoenix Lunch Combo (takeout does not include soup) Total with tip: $16

TL;DR my first impression score: 3 of 5. Not what I'm used to, but will try again. It is unfortunate that I ate too much Chinese take-out in California. Not only were there multiple occasions but the amount of food in one flip container was enough for four meals. I think portions are controlled here in AZ... yay I won't overindulge. Ambience and Service: The hostess was sweet as she greeted me with a smile. There was no small talk after receiving my order, so I observed while I waited. The dining area was 40% full for lunch, and I saw the waitress kindly helped a couple gentlemen decide on their order. Fresh and steaming food was delivered by another staff member. When my food was ready, the elderly hostess insisted on stepping away from her seated position to hand my order. I didn't expect the respectful gesture. Food: I really wanted to try this restaurant because of the 'No MSG' claim. The lunch menu listed Thai and Chinese dishes, and though I came for Chinese I ordered a dish that was reminiscent of Thai food. The total with tip: $16 takeout. Maybe I should've dined-in for my first review. The sliced stir-fried chicken...was crunchy. I'm not sure how long the chicken was marinating, but I mistook it for squid because of the texture. The egg roll is not made in house, it was not crunchy and half of the soggy filling was cold. The Lo Mein wasn't terrible as it had nice flavor but the chew of the noodle wasn't my preference. The shrimp were huge, cooked to a nice "C" shape - which made up for the rest. I didn't finish the meal, but I found myself passed out afterwards for three hours. I'm glad I had no work that day. Definitely next time I'll dine in and try a known favorite of mine before I fully consider this place. Then I can try the soup, my food will be hot, and also I can enjoy more of the dining experience.

During our drive back from State Farm Stadium, we were thrilled to find a Chinese eatery in Arizona, George and Son's which served surprisingly good food. It was right off the freeway exit, so it was easy to find. We were pleased to discover their Tres Amigos dish, a combination stir-fry of chicken, beef, and shrimp. Friendly staff and clean restaurant.

Had been here in the past and enjoyed. So we were in the area and decided to stop for dinner. It was as good as we remember it! I had Miona's Special chicken and it lived up to the sweet and sour and special spices description. My wifes dish was a noodle based dish with Shrimp, chicken and beef and was also very good per her.

Over at Aqua Fria, locals know of the AMC 30 and chilis that have been there since the beginning including Samurai Sam's and a few others. And before it was George's and Sons it was a Souper! Salad! Dad and I found out about their lunch special at George's back in 2014-2015ish. We really enjoyed the Tres Amigos (beef, chicken, and shrimp) of the Happy family. Recently I've been getting the sweet and sour pork (which each time I forget has bell peppers and eat around them). Their spring rolls, egg drop soup and ragoons are so good! We also are huge fans of their iced green tea. It's like a green jasmine mix which is so so good. Highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood.

Finally my coworker and I tried this place for dinner after I've had some takeout. The ambiance was clean and inviting. Not the stereotypical dirty hole-in-the-wall for a Chinese place. We tried the crab puff, Szechuan string beans, and the beef chow fun. They were all delightful. The service was wonderful as well!

Friend and I had dinner here after catching a flick next door. We ordered chicken and veggies and Mongolian beef. Everything was ok. Not great. Mongolian beef was too salty. Everything was expensive for the portion. Service was good. Ambience was causal and friendly.

Still in a battle to be refunded the $200+ worth of food I ordered on Christmas Day that I never received. No acknowledgment, no nothing.

    Do they have brown rice?

I would think so but call and find out for sure.

    What is the cost?

This is not a cheap food place. It's a bit more costly but that's because it's actually quality food. You can look at their menu and costs connected by yelp...

Are you open on Mothers day?

Yes, we are open on Mother’s Day :-)

Is the lunch specials available all day until closing?

No, only during lunchtime, somewhere around 11-3.

There are eight small tables and one large table in the middle of the room. The place was clean. The bulk of their business was take out. Staff were not especially welcoming yet were efficient. We decided on sweet sour chicken and chicken lo mein. Service was quick and the amount of food was generous. The sweet sour chicken was made very well. The batter was light, airy and not at all greasy. The lo mein was greasy and still tasty. I would have preferred it to be drier. The chef used cabbage as the vegetable. I would have preferred an assortment of veggies, but that's just personal. 3 for the lo mein and 4 for the sweet sour chicken. I would actually give this place 3.5 stars. All staff needed to do is smile once in awhile. Shared parking outside.

Was mostly empty this Saturday, one amblivant waitress. Later three other came to get seated, service is slow! How's the food? Actually pretty good for Az. Chicken feet of the frozen kink reheated were four stars, house noodles was as well as Mango shaved ice five stars, not Taiwan good but good for phoenix. Wonder when and if the TSMC crowd will give it a go, the Chinese place down on Happy Valley is hopping with them, should this place.

It's located in an outdoor shopping center, and although the restaurant is on the smaller side, the interior design and decor reminded me of many of the Korean BBQ restaurants back home in California. It felt cozy and authentic. This is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant. We ordered the Small Beef Combo, 2 side of rice, Korean dumplings, and the strawberry basil lemonade. The only unlimited items are the traditional Korean side dishes. We were served five different banchan along with two salads. While they didn't bring every available side dish, the ones we received were actually very good. Unfortunately, the service is what ruined the experience for me. Our server, Huy, was also serving my friends' family seated at the table next to us. They had ordered the same Small Beef Combo. When Huy started grilling our brisket, he accidentally dropped one of our slices of meat onto the floor. He paused, clearly noticed it, and so did everyone at our table. However, there was no apology, no acknowledgment, and no offer to replace the piece. He simply continued cooking as if nothing had happened. A few moments later, he placed a Prime Ribeye on our grill. I told him we hadn't ordered that cut--it belonged to my friends' table. He then picked up the entire plate of raw ribeye from our grill and transferred it to their table. Even though they were our friends sitting right next to us, that didn't seem like proper food handling. When I mentioned the mix-up, he simply said the kitchen had made a mistake. Again, there was no apology. Toward the end of the meal, it seemed like Huy realized I was unhappy, but he never addressed either incident. The missing piece of brisket wasn't a significant financial loss, and the food itself was good. My disappointment was with the service. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What matters is acknowledging them, apologizing, and making a reasonable effort to make things right. A simple apology and replacing the dropped piece of meat would have completely changed my impression. Because of the service, I don't plan on returning, which is unfortunate because the food and atmosphere were otherwise enjoyable.
