Really bad Sesame Chicken

The Sesame Chicken I received looked like it was reclaimed leftovers that they refried and served again. Worst Chinese food I ever receive. Just look at it!

OMG you have no idea how happy we are to have found this place!!! Good Chinese food has felt like an impossible dream since moving to Glendale from Chicago! We've spent nearly three years waiting to find this place and couldn't be happier that we finally did! Well, actually, they found us since they sent us their menu in the mail. Most of the other Chinese places we've been to had good sesame chicken but terrible rice. Or good rice, but terrible main dishes. This place has it all and it's all good! We got sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and beef and broccoli as our main dishes and they were all perfect and costing about $10-12 per dish. We got some beef fried rice and it was amazing! We got a couple orders of egg rolls, which were smaller than we're used to from a Chinese joint, but our autistic kids ate and loved them! I'll include more pics the next time we go here. I was too busy wolfing down food to take pics this time around. If you're on the west side, try these guys out, they're amazing!!!

General Tso's chicken

New Hong Kong Express is under new management. Food was made quickly, and ready when promised. Food was hot and fresh. The Mongolian beef and sesame chicken were our favorites. Mongolian beef and onions were lightly sauced. Meat is tender. Onions had a nice chared quality. Sesame chicken is sweet. There was still a slight crunch by the time we got home. It was nice to find some tofu dishes on the menu. General Tso's tofu has a nice mix of tofu and vegetables. None of us found the spicy dishes to be spicy. They were still all enjoyable. I look forward to trying more pf their dishes. I think we may have found our new takeout Chinese place.

This place is one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants. I always order the Orange Chicken dinner combo and it is always delicious! I like the spicy chicken and the sides. I think it's worth the price since you get a lot of food for the price. Definitely will keep ordering and recommend to anyone! Their foods are warm and fresh!

Food isn't the worst until you're throwing up the entire night . I'll avoid future food poisoning by not going here again.

The food looks and tastes amazing. 5 stars is not enough to rate how good it really is. Mic drop!

Always 10/10 they offer a great size portion too. I would definitely recommend trying them over Panda Express!

Their food is consistently the same no matter how busy it is, most recently during a heavy dinner hour - prime time. Yes, expect to wait, we started the 30 plus wait time out side and then inside in the small waiting area. It's not fancy by any means. TVs with a game on, servers moving about, and a steady stream of to go orders. We had King Pao Chicken, Beef with broccoli and Mongolian Beef. Also Wongs fried rice & appetizer plate and soups. I had hot & sour soup, absolutely delicious, a little spicy as it should be. My Mongolian Beef was probably the best prepared, very tender beef and flavorful I've had, and always consistently the same each visit. The other entrees severed were equally flavorful, tender meats and served fresh & hot. Servers are kind and knowledgeable of each dish and offer suggestions of their favorites. The seating area is in need of updating but very clean, as are the restrooms. But it's about the quality, quantity & consistency that keeps me returning. Just go!

Loved the crispiness of a nicely fried wing. Large Hot & Sour Soup - Great consistency but it had a weird underlying sweetness I didn't enjoy. The restaurant across the street on the Fry's plaza used to have the best hot and sour soup until they changed owners so it was going to be hard for them to beat regardless. Orange Chicken - I don't think any of us expected it to come out this way so it was a surprise. Was a pleasant surprise? Ehh. It's probably my least favorite orange Chicken in the valley. Honey Walnut Shrimp - Standard, classic, and perfect. They do it as well as any other place around. Beef Chow Fun - Another great standard and one that had no

I recently enjoyed a wonderful meal there after five months of strict healthy eating. I had been cautious about flavorful food because of health concerns, including three strokes. When a friend invited me to lunch, I first said I would go to Angie's for a salad. She kindly offered to ask the chef to go easy on the salt and soy sauce, which put me at ease. The food turned out to be fantastic. Every bite felt like a treat after my long stretch of simple meals. The flavors were bold and satisfying, and I loved everything. The service was just as good. The owner walked around the dining area serving tea to guests, which gave the meal a warm, personal feel. His friendly manner made the experience even better. I'm already planning my next visit to try their dumplings. This was the best lunch I've had in five months. My friend covered the bill, so I don't have a receipt to share.

We were the only guest in the restaurant so service was nice and quick. The server was really friendly. The crab puffs didn't have crab in it, it was just cream Cheese but they were cooked perfectly. The general tso chicken wasn't as crispy as we'd liked but it was still good. All the other dishes were good. Definitely cured my Szechuan cravings so that we didn't have to drive another 45 mins to Mesa or Temp area.

Amazing Restaurant!…read more All amazing people of Phoenix, if you have not gone to this phenomenal restaurant yet, you really need to. This is one convenient, high quality, extremely flavorful Chinese place that me and my husband visited today. It was just high quality all the way! When we arrived it was quiet. Superbly clean, neat and tidy. Cute decor and a nice inviting vibe. We were sat at a table and given our menus. Prices were really good. Especially when you get the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. Our waitress was super-nice. Which is hard to find these days. She was so nice to everyone who came in. When we sat down, a lady who wasn't too sure about the place came in asking all kinds of questions. And she patiently answered each one as if she was a close family member. A homeless guy came in asking for water. She jumped right up to give him a HUGE cup of ice and water and was so kind to him. Then other patrons came in to order and pick up food and each one, regardless of age, ethnic makeup, what they were wearing, all were greeted so warmly. Huge smiles and a constant giving and warm attitude all throughout. We were treated just as good. And for us that is very rare. We ordered a lot of various things. A cold cucumber salad, a hot appetizer, a couple of main dishes. Then the absolute most amazing signature steak on the Chef's Speciality. WOW. The salad and appetizers came out first. Salad really cold and refreshing. Super crisp and cut nicely. Amazing flavor. Then the appetizers were super hot and fresh. Not oily. Bursting with flavor. Then the mains came. Everything cooked perfectly. The flavors of each dish just screaming at my taste buds. Enjoyed every bite. Then they brought out the steak for my husband. So juicy. So tender. And the sauce in the side just added to the flavor. We savored every bite. The quality and temperatures and flavors are off the chart. We could not finish all this bliss in one sitting, se we asked for boxes and containers. She gave us many to separate everything and a bag to haul it home in. Always asking if we needed anything else and being authentically polite. This place should be packed. You are missing out if you have not tried New Hong King Restaurant. Amazing service. The service could have been a little better, but it wasn't terrible. The price was reasonable, and the ambience was really nice. I especially liked the bright Asian colors throughout the restaurant it gave the place a lively feel. I ordered the Mongolian beef, but it was more like a beef and broccoli dish. Traditional Mongolian beef usually has onions, and mine didn't have any. The flavors were really good, though the beef was a little on the salty side. Not so salty that it was inedible, but definitely something where you'll want a sip of water with each bite. Overall, still a good spot with great soups, fair prices, and a nice atmosphere.

I have given SO MUCH BUSINESS TO THIS PLACE! However their customer service is absolute TRASH!!!…read more I recently went to have dinner with my 70 year old mother, my 8 year old son and my husband. We walked into a COMPLETELY EMPTY restaurant. There was a man folding napkins and he said "sit anywhere!" Ooookay, so we sat at a booth, the RUDE waitress comes over to take our orders, "what you wanna order!?" Super aggressive! We order our usual. During that time I realized that it would be easier to eat at a round table so we could use the lazy Susan in the middle to easily reach our food. So we got up and we're going to move when the man who was folding napkins said "no! Wait for your waitress!" Waitress comes back and literally YELLED at us! Saying, "no!!! Sit at the booth!!" I tried explaining that the table would be too small and she continued to yell at me. I was on the verge of tears and didn't understand why she was so upset. Since we did not eat or drink anything, my husband said "let's go!" So we excused ourselves and left. The man folding napkins stood up and ran to the exit and started recording us. Not only was I scared, but my son started crying and my 70 year old mother began wheezing and breathing fast... they literally ran out of the restaurant as we were getting into our car and kept yelling & recording! I used to order $150-200 food EVERY MONTH!!! However we ALWAYS did pick up. Had I known how TERRIBLE THEIR SERVICE IS, I would neeeeeever have contributed to them!!! Absolutely horrible horrible hooooorible service! DO NOT GO HERE!! There are plenty other places to eat with better service!!! Huge pass and will never ever eeever return
