    Hot and sour soup

Uncle Panda has quickly become a favorite for me! I used to have to make the trek to Mesa when I wanted some good Chinese food, but now I can just go a few minutes down the road. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is spacious and clean. My favorite items on the menu have to be (in no particular order) the Roujiamo, pork and shrimp pan fried dumplings, the cucumber salad, the fungus salad, the green beans, the cold beef and tendon, and the hot and sour soup. I definitely recommend coming with a group of people so you can order a bunch if food and then share it all. Only note is that they could do without playing the entirety of Taylor Swift's discography every time I visit.

Our second time visiting this establishment. It was not too busy at 11-12noon on Good Friday. Restaurant was clean and service super efficient. For food, we tried the assorted xiao long bao, pan-fried pork and cabbage dumplings (order first as it required 20 mins!), bulgogi beef rice bowl, and braised beef noodles soup. The surprise and delight ended up to be the beef rice bowl. The beef was flavorful and it was very satisfying with rice and a fried egg on top. The xiao long bao on the other hand, were not quite up to their regular standards. The dumpling skin was a bit mushy and the filling on the dry side. Noodles in the braised beef noodles soup were overcooked while the chunky beef pieces were decent and tender. We will return but definitely want to get better soup dumplings.

You walk into this establishment and you are greeted by friendly staff who quickly seat you, the ambiance is warm and inviting. We ordered several things to try and be able to take food home! We were not disappointed! It came out hot and separate so that we had time to eat as we waited for the next item! It was all so very tasty and fresh, very authentic and so delicious! There is such a big menu so many great things to try here!

My friend and I never pass up a good dumpling, so we were excited to find Uncle Panda in our area! Definitely check their hours before you visit as they take a break some days. We visited at 2 pm on Thursday, so just an hour before their 3 pm break. The restaurant was not very busy, but it was a weird time. We ordered the scallion pancakes, chicken and corn dumplings, and the chicken teriyaki buns. I liked that the food arrived staggered instead of all at once, so we had time to enjoy each dish before the next one arrived. I had never tried a bun before, so I didn't know what to expect. I really liked it! All of the food was great. The interior of the restaurant was nice as well, with a modern/industrial vibe. It's pretty spacious inside and they had large tables available that would work well for big groups. I could definitely see us returning here!

Friendly customer service and delicious food made for a great experience. The location has plenty of parking, and the buildings are clean and well-kept. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items from the menu! K-pop music and quiet place.

Second time in! Hoping it still hits the spot(:

Always so yummy! This is the third time and flavors and service remain the same!! Our favorite is the dumplings in the sauce. It does have peanuts but I think that makes it all come together. The Bulgogi fries were a new try and they didn't disappoint either! Ambience is very relaxed and clean. I would recommend 100%

This is the 2nd time we come here, plenty of variety in the menu to choose. Nice and clean place, good for groups. Quick service. Lot of space to parking. Most important is Delicious food!!

Got takeout which was pretty solid. Enjoyed the dumplings I got. They were pretty big and juicy.

They close for a couple hours in the middle of the day so make sure you know their hours. We got there when they reopened at 4:30pm, which is right before the dinner rush. We came because their concept was so cute. It was our first time. We had a fabulous time. Food was good. Egg drop soup was very good, but a little over salted. - 4 out of 5. The fried green beans were amazing - 5 out of 5. The soup dumplings were very god, juicy - 5 out of 5 Pork & shrimp dumplings were good but a little dry - 4 out of 5. The Dan Dan noodles were great. My cousins loved it more than I did but we agreed to give it 5 out of 5. They gave a whole menu full of cute Baos but we didn't order any. It was a clean restaurant and the service was great. We had a good time.

Was so excited to try this place since there aren't that many authentic Asian spots in Glendale but I was so disappointed Parking was no issue since they have their own lot and plenty of parking Service was decent, they were pretty attentive and friendly Food was so underwhelming. Got the pork, shrimp, chives dumplings ($13.99 - 10 pieces) and it didn't taste fresh nor was there much meat or shrimp inside. It was very disappointing and not delicious at all. 5/10 Braised Beef Noodle Soup ($14.99) was so disappointing. The broth was so salty and literally tasted like soy sauce water. Beef was not too tender and the noodles didn't taste freshly made. This was a 5/10 Orange chicken ($13.99) was ok, nothing too special. A lot of batter and not much meat. 5/10 Would not return or recommend

I was actually shocked by this place, I read mixed reviews but wanted to come and try it. We all loved it, such a big menu so there is something for everyone. It was hard to pick what to get but I loved the soup dumpling. The sweet and sour chicken and chow mien were on par. The noodle soup had a great broth flavor but I wasn't a fan of the meat but that's okay just a preference. I can't wait to go back and try more options. The restaurant is in a strip mall but don't let that detour you. It's clean and the staff is friendly.

This place is hit or miss. We dined in here a while back and had a good experience. When we ordered our take out this weekend there was an issue with the restaurant receiving it. I arrived to pick it up on Saturday night, and waited in line to be helped for about 5-10 minutes. It was busy, but no one really acknowledged any of us waiting in line, and it was kind of confusing trying to figure out if there were different lines for guests trying to eat in or take out. The line was also in the middle of the restaurant which made it awkward for the guests dining in and the servers trying to mi e around. When it was my turn, and we learned that our food had not even been started, it was a bit frustrating. I left to run another errand and when I came back 20min. Later, the food was ready. Luckily, all of the food we ordered was delicious. The small steam pork soup buns were good, but probably would have tasted better fresh at the restaurant. We also ordered the beef and green onions dumplings, Mongolian beef, house fried rice, fried mandu, and an order of their seasonal bunny happy bao buns. Like I said, everything was delicious and worth the wait. However, I might not use the websites ordering platform again and see if about ordering through door dash or another app.

Ask the Community - Uncle Panda Dumpling & Noodle House

If I come in for Dim Sum by myself is it possible to get smaller portions that way I can taste more of your food?

No. The portions are set. If you go to Great Wall or Phoenix Palace, most servings are three pieces.

Do you serve dimsum for dinner too?

Their lunch and dinner menu is the same

    Are you open Christmas eve?

    Yes. 11:00am - 9:30pm.

Do i need to make a reservation? if so, how far in advance should i do so? And are there any seasonal or daily specials?

No for reservations. The restaurant has plenty of seating and I would consider it casual. I have not seen any specials as they have only been open for 3 weeks. Question to ask when you arrive.

To be clear, I am a New Yorker and know good fast Chinese food. The ambiance was promising. It looked like I was finally going to find what I've been looking for in Phoenix for years. For whatever reason, Chinese restaurants in Arizona serve egg hockey pucks and cover it with various items and call it egg foo young. I even asked about it before I ordered it. Alas when I got home and saw what I had, I was disappointed. It's faster to make it this way but the egg hockey puck had no taste - zero. They could have at least added oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, maybe nam plah, and perhaps sesame oil. It was tasteless. A complete miss. I also ordered something simple, shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious! I inhaled them and will order them again. I'd go again just for the spring rolls. Maybe they have other dishes that are good and I may not entirely give up but the egg foo young is a no go.
