    Bao pork belly buns

Excellent service, food was hot & fresh. Ur order came out quick. Each plate is big enough to share! Roughly $15/dish. We ordered the Korean fried chicken, spicy green beans, pork fried dumplings and pork buns.

    Beef roll

For the Phoenix west side, this is a good option for folks, but my standards are pretty high after years of living in Southern California and New York. I would recommend the beef roll. The other stuff I've gotten doesn't stand out enough to recommend, it's just okay. Interior decor and booths are nice. Staff is friendly too.

I have been eyeing this place as I have been craving BBQ PORK BUNS. Today I had a marketplace purchase in the area. I decided to stop and give it a try as I saw it on Yelp when searching for bbq buns. Asian food is a top favorite and normally get at a good dim sum place. Ok interior is nice reminds me of maybe a former bbq restaurant. I may have done 5 stars but it chaps my hide when restaurants charge for soda water the same cost of a soda. Note not canned or bottled but same as that from the fountain. Ok to the food good my favor it is the Bao Pork belly bun peanuts and pickled veggies 5 stars. Next is the soup dumplings first time having got full but sampled 3 different ones need to try the others 4 stars. The Bbq pork buns good chunks of pork pork in the middle 3 stars. I'm going to come back and try some of the other food. Fluffy Grandma Recommends

Uncle Panda has quickly become a favorite for me! I used to have to make the trek to Mesa when I wanted some good Chinese food, but now I can just go a few minutes down the road. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is spacious and clean. My favorite items on the menu have to be (in no particular order) the Roujiamo, pork and shrimp pan fried dumplings, the cucumber salad, the fungus salad, the green beans, the cold beef and tendon, and the hot and sour soup. I definitely recommend coming with a group of people so you can order a bunch if food and then share it all. Only note is that they could do without playing the entirety of Taylor Swift's discography every time I visit.

My friend and I never pass up a good dumpling, so we were excited to find Uncle Panda in our area! Definitely check their hours before you visit as they take a break some days. We visited at 2 pm on Thursday, so just an hour before their 3 pm break. The restaurant was not very busy, but it was a weird time. We ordered the scallion pancakes, chicken and corn dumplings, and the chicken teriyaki buns. I liked that the food arrived staggered instead of all at once, so we had time to enjoy each dish before the next one arrived. I had never tried a bun before, so I didn't know what to expect. I really liked it! All of the food was great. The interior of the restaurant was nice as well, with a modern/industrial vibe. It's pretty spacious inside and they had large tables available that would work well for big groups. I could definitely see us returning here!

Friendly customer service and delicious food made for a great experience. The location has plenty of parking, and the buildings are clean and well-kept. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items from the menu! K-pop music and quiet place.

Second time in! Hoping it still hits the spot(:

Always so yummy! This is the third time and flavors and service remain the same!! Our favorite is the dumplings in the sauce. It does have peanuts but I think that makes it all come together. The Bulgogi fries were a new try and they didn't disappoint either! Ambience is very relaxed and clean. I would recommend 100%

This is the 2nd time we come here, plenty of variety in the menu to choose. Nice and clean place, good for groups. Quick service. Lot of space to parking. Most important is Delicious food!!

What a difference time can make! We decided to come back and try this spot again and I'm SO beyond glad that we did. Everything was fantastic and I can't wait to come back soon!!

Got takeout which was pretty solid. Enjoyed the dumplings I got. They were pretty big and juicy.

Assorted xiao long bao (soup dumplings)

Our second time visiting this establishment. It was not too busy at 11-12noon on Good Friday. Restaurant was clean and service super efficient. For food, we tried the assorted xiao long bao, pan-fried pork and cabbage dumplings (order first as it required 20 mins!), bulgogi beef rice bowl, and braised beef noodles soup. The surprise and delight ended up to be the beef rice bowl. The beef was flavorful and it was very satisfying with rice and a fried egg on top. The xiao long bao on the other hand, were not quite up to their regular standards. The dumpling skin was a bit mushy and the filling on the dry side. Noodles in the braised beef noodles soup were overcooked while the chunky beef pieces were decent and tender. We will return but definitely want to get better soup dumplings.

They close for a couple hours in the middle of the day so make sure you know their hours. We got there when they reopened at 4:30pm, which is right before the dinner rush. We came because their concept was so cute. It was our first time. We had a fabulous time. Food was good. Egg drop soup was very good, but a little over salted. - 4 out of 5. The fried green beans were amazing - 5 out of 5. The soup dumplings were very god, juicy - 5 out of 5 Pork & shrimp dumplings were good but a little dry - 4 out of 5. The Dan Dan noodles were great. My cousins loved it more than I did but we agreed to give it 5 out of 5. They gave a whole menu full of cute Baos but we didn't order any. It was a clean restaurant and the service was great. We had a good time.

Orange chicken was mediocre - 5/10

Was so excited to try this place since there aren't that many authentic Asian spots in Glendale but I was so disappointed Parking was no issue since they have their own lot and plenty of parking Service was decent, they were pretty attentive and friendly Food was so underwhelming. Got the pork, shrimp, chives dumplings ($13.99 - 10 pieces) and it didn't taste fresh nor was there much meat or shrimp inside. It was very disappointing and not delicious at all. 5/10 Braised Beef Noodle Soup ($14.99) was so disappointing. The broth was so salty and literally tasted like soy sauce water. Beef was not too tender and the noodles didn't taste freshly made. This was a 5/10 Orange chicken ($13.99) was ok, nothing too special. A lot of batter and not much meat. 5/10 Would not return or recommend

Table service or order at the counter?

    Table service

If I come in for Dim Sum by myself is it possible to get smaller portions that way I can taste more of your food?

No. The portions are set. If you go to Great Wall or Phoenix Palace, most servings are three pieces.

Do you serve dimsum for dinner too?

Their lunch and dinner menu is the same

    Are you open Christmas eve?

    Yes. 11:00am - 9:30pm.

Do i need to make a reservation? if so, how far in advance should i do so? And are there any seasonal or daily specials?

No for reservations. The restaurant has plenty of seating and I would consider it casual. I have not seen any specials as they have only been open for 3 weeks. Question to ask when you arrive.

They have complimentary parking in the front, side, and back of the restaurant. There aren't a ton of spots, but there's street parking close by too. Ambiance (3.5/5): Like most Chinese restaurants, China Chili is pretty no frills. Which isn't a problem for me at all, I'm there for the food. It's a spacious restaurant with both regular tables and circular tables that rotates (good for large groups sharing dishes). Service (4/5): Fantastic service is also not something I expect at a Chinese restaurant. Yet again, I'm there for the food. With that being said, service, while not overly friendly, is typically pretty efficient. Which I always appreciate. Drinks (4/5): Pretty much your standard soft drinks, tea, and a limited selection of alcoholic beverages. My favorite option is their buddha beer which you don't see in a lot of places. It's a lager and it's in a buddha-shaped bottle. It doesn't get much better than that. Food (5/5): The first time I came was for one of my favorite dishes... Peking duck. There aren't a ton of spots in Phoenix that have it, but out of the ones that do, China Chili serves it at a high level. You can go with either crepes or baos (additional surcharge). The duck is absolutely to die for. Flavorful, juicy meat with crispy skin that fits in perfectly into your mini "sandwich" with green onions and Hoisin sauce. For a reasonable price too. Their food outside of duck is of a similar quality. I especially like their flat noodles with beef. Even classic dishes like sesame chicken have a twist here. It's sliced chicken rather than fully breaded chicken. Just as good as the typical way, the sauce is delicious. My only complaint? They give you a pretty small helping of white rice with your dish. Outside of that, the portions are generous. Everything I've had at China Chili has been a hit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

There aren't many places in Phoenix that serve duck this neatly like in my photo, and I appreciate that it's not another chain restaurant. We walked into a COMPLETELY EMPTY restaurant. There was a man folding napkins and he said "sit anywhere!" Ooookay, so we sat at a booth, the RUDE waitress comes over to take our orders, "what you wanna order!?" Super aggressive! We order our usual. During that time I realized that it would be easier to eat at a round table so we could use the lazy Susan in the middle to easily reach our food. So we got up and we're going to move when the man who was folding napkins said "no! Wait for your waitress!" Waitress comes back and literally YELLED at us! Saying, "no!!! Sit at the booth!!" I tried explaining that the table would be too small and she continued to yell at me. I was on the verge of tears and didn't understand why she was so upset. Since we did not eat or drink anything, my husband said "let's go!" So we excused ourselves and left. The man folding napkins stood up and ran to the exit and started recording us. Not only was I scared, but my son started crying and my 70 year old mother began wheezing and breathing fast... they literally ran out of the restaurant as we were getting into our car and kept yelling & recording! I used to order $150-200 food EVERY MONTH!!! However we ALWAYS did pick up. Had I known how TERRIBLE THEIR SERVICE IS, I would neeeeeever have contributed to them!!! Absolutely horrible horrible hooooorible service! DO NOT GO HERE!! There are plenty other places to eat with better service!!! Huge pass and will never ever eeever return
