My sister had the general Tso's chicken, and she enjoyed it. There was just enough spice. The lunch portions were good size, and the service was pretty quick. Were they frozen? They certainly can't be fresh. Sooo chewy and gummy. The beef fried rice at least had decent slices of meat in it... but it had no flavor. It also took FOREVER. Good value for the money...very generous portions. We had the "shrimp with mixed vegetables" and the "chicken and broccoli." Both the shrimp and chicken were tender and tasty. The white rice was perfectly cooked. We will be back. We were skeptical because of some of the 1 star reviews, but we decided to try it and make our own decision. We are glad that we did. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I only order Chinese from them and them only. Usually we get an order of beef and mushrooms. Instead of the rice we get a large thing of noodles. It costs extra but trust me it's worth it. The ingredients themselves are extremely fresh and it's always made to order. Hands down my favorite thing here. The orange chicken is another staple in our Friday night takeout routine. Again, fresh ingredients. I cant stress this enough. China taste seems to use everything from scratch. No ridiculously processed sauces to be found. I really reccomend this gem of a place. read more

This restaurant has been in the neighborhood a while now, however I've only visited once when it first opened. I was not impressed with it back then, but I decided to give it a try today( 4/6/18) after hearing others in the neighborhood mention how good it was and how they liked it. I can't say that I liked today's visit any more than I did the first time I went. I ordered wonton soup and an egg roll. I didn't like either, the food was made to order and hot, but it just didn't taste like anything. It was bland and lacked flavor, the wonton crisps were stale and the wontons in the soup tasted off. The guy that took my order was nice and the restaurant was clean with a score of 97. China Tastes Bad! Almost everything was bland and desperately need seasoning! The Yangs fried rice was very light in color and tasted like it had ZERO soy/msg/any seasoning! The Hot & Sour wonton and regular Hot & Sour Soups tasted like it had very little chili flakes or soy! It was bland all the way around. Ordered the general tso chicken and crab rangoons, everything tastes like it was made with fresh ingredients and even on the car ride home it didn't have that typical processed Chinese food smell. This is by far my favorite chinese takeout resteraunt in the area. The portions are large and the food is not only delicious, but it's also consistent. I have never had a bad experience at this resteraunt, they are always fast and friendly. Would definitely recommend General Tso' s and fried rice. read more

Great portion size for the price and pretty good taste. I've been here a few times because of the distance and so it is a great cheap place. The Lo Mein is pretty good too. If you want authentic Chinese food, this is probably not in your top 5 places but don't let that deter you because the flavor is great. Then again, you can take stir fry sauce and do it at your house. All in all, I love this place because the staff there are really friendly and extremely generous. On more than one occasion here, I've received free sugar bites or donuts. Whatever the case, they want you to come back and they know how to do it right. This place just opened about a year ago. It's great neighborhood take-out place. Not much room or atmosphere for seating, but fast and good food. First time at China Taste ever. I normally visit China Wok, and was looking for something different. And different I found, let me start by saying that the dumplings are delicious.... And I was received a free item without my knowing, awesome... I ordered sweet & sour chicken, pepper steak, and general tso chicken. The first item tasted as if it had been reheated along with the rice, the second item had very nice texture for steak, but no seasoning, and last but not least the third item tasted as if it had been cooked alongside fish or shrimp. All in all I will definitely come back for the steamed or fried dumplings which put most restaurants to shame.
