I've been here before and didn't think much about the food. Well, something has changed here. Decided to give it another try maybe after a year or so. This time around the food was flavorful with lots of meat. I must point out I ordered my food " Spicy". Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, except the Vegetable Lo Mein, and Egg Rolls. Very, very happy with this order. If they keep this up, we'll keep coming back. They were busy with orders when I walked in to order around 5:15pm. NEVER EAT HERE! WARNING TO ALL READ YELP AND YAHOO REVIEWS! First visit there. My husband and mom shared sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, crab ragoon, egg rolls and fried rice. We are all 3 sick today. Lets just say the bathroom here has been busy. Sick in bed. The chicken was chewy and i had to spit out a couple of pieces. The crab ragoon tasted horrible. The chicken had under cooked dough on pieces. The egg roll tasted like chemical flavor. Maybe the pan was just cleaned.I called and spoke to Fiona. She immediately defended their food never once said oh im sorry. She said our food doesnt make people sick and Maybe you ate something else and i said that the only thing the 3 of us ate that was the same was from China Taste and we all are sick today. She then said maybe i was allergic to cream cheese and that there isn't even any crab in the crab ragoon. She continues to yell and defend her food. I was very calm and polite with her. Then she said well we will pay the hospital bill. I said wait i never said i had medical bills and she said something about me sueing her.... what i never said the either. I told her i never said that she said oh oh and then kept saying our food doesnt make people sick. I told her i was juat letting her know there might of been a bad batch of something. I never once raised my voice she kept yelling and i eventually hung up. 2 mins later she redialed me.... WHAT!? .... she started yelling again saying i didnt hang up on you.... uh ok why did i need to know that? I said i hungu up because you were yelling and showed no concern about us being sick and kept defending their food. She said the chef said to come back and he will give us more food, i said no i dont want more food from you. That i would be writing reviews. She said you can ask your neighbors, that they have been there for 10 years and noone has complained [ um has she looked at yelp?].... i said you want me to go around and ask neighbors? No i dont think so. She said what do you want me to do? I said refund my money. She said oh no i cant do that we are a small business and cant give money back.... i told her i have never heard of a company that couldn't refund and told her to call her bank. She is asking her boss if ahe can and will call back. She said i might not be able to give all the money back. She started speaking to someone in chinese while i was on the phone lol oook? Then came back to me and said she will call me back. Have gotten take-out here twice now, and both times they've screwed up the order and left something out. The general tso's is alright but not the best- kind of hard and crunchy on smaller pieces.. Native New Yorker thrilled to see a self-proclaimed "New York style" chinese take out restaurant. Chicken broccoli is my staple dish to determine if I like a Chinese place or not. The sauce was really good and so was the broccoli but that's the extent of it. The chicken was so rubbery I couldn't bite through several pieces and the white rice had an interesting smell. I used to be a daily customer but however, the food quality and care has degraded. Beyond the meal having no taste, I recently ordered chicken lo mein and found sharp bone fragments and steel wool wires in my meal. I also got steamed dumplings which had weird hard old nasty green things in it. Definitely avoid this place! read more

The worst. I gave China Taste 3 try's. This last time was worse that the other two. I only live 1.5 miles away. Placed order then left right away. The order was ready. COLD! The young lady taking phone orders was very rude, acted like she was doing me a favor to take my order. She was even less friendly at pickup. It's a shame this company is so poorly run.
