If you're looking for delicious Chinese food with outstanding service, Wok Inn is the place to go! We came here after hearing they opened their doors to help feed people after the hurricanes and they did not disappoint! The dishes were flavorful--everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. What really set this experience apart was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful! To top it all off, they treated us to a free taste of their fried donuts, which were absolutely amazing! Warm, fluffy, and perfectly sweet, they were the perfect ending to an already wonderful meal. Highly recommend Wok Inn for anyone looking for good Chinese food in the Sarasota area (which is hard to find)! Overall a great experience for a great price at a great place! Wok Inn is the real deal. Their egg foo young? Perfection!!! Orange chicken is crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and loaded with the good stuff. The wonton soup tastes like it came straight from a grandma who's been perfecting it for 50 years. And the egg rolls? Crunchy, flavorful, and absolutely no regrets. Their kitchen staff clearly knows their sh*t, and it shows in every bite. If you're looking for Chinese food that slaps, this is the spot. This is easily the worst chinese restaurant in Sarasota! The beef chow main was gross and the meat was grey. The beef Teriyaki was dry as a piece of wood! Never ever again!!! read more

Called 20 minutes before closing, the owner was so nice about it all and was just as cheery as as he probably was at noon :) I arrived right at closing and walked in where right away the owner verified who I was and made sure I had napkins and plastic ware and then wished us a goodnight by name and if that's not great customer service then I don't know what is. Food was wonderful A++ Fast, tastes great, large portions, and more than fair pricing. Definitely recommend here for Chinese takeout :) read more

This place is a hidden gem just west of yoders in pinecraft SRQ. They are serving up a classic American Chinese menu. People complain about there not being good Chinese food in Sarasota, they haven't made it here yet. Great service and easy for carry out. read more

Wok Inn offers what has become known as "New York Style Chinese Food," meaning the very Americanized version of Chinese food that many of us (myself included) grew up believing was authentic Chinese food. There was an interesting show on the Food Network or the Travel Channel where Anthony Bourdain and an Asian chef went to New York City's Chinatown and had the food that they each grew up believing was Chinese and it was interesting seeing how very different Anthony Bourdain's perspective of what Chinese food was compared to what the Asian chef's memories of true Chinese dishes were. Anyway, Wok Inn offers great Chinese food which is also the very Americanized version of Chinese food. The people are friendly and I had my food in a relatively short amount of time. I would definitely recommend Wok Inn for some great (Americanized) Chinese food. I do not think that you will be disappointed. read more

Fresh and delicious. Moo shoo pork was full of meat and veggies. Pancakes were very thin and easy to separate. Duck sauce was perfect. Beef and broccoli were excellent and we will be having leftovers for days to come. The best part was when we opened the back there were free donuts. They were hot and delicious. Wok Inn Chinese restaurant never disappoints! Having Chinese takeout for Christmas is our own family tradition. And we were very happy to learn that our favorite Chinese restaurant in Sarasota would be open on December 24th and 25th! We're fairly new to the area so this was a pleasant surprise. We bought a bunch of different dishes to share with our family, and as always everything was delicious. My husband is a vegetarian and they have lots of veggie options for him, and every single container is clearly marked so he doesn't have to check every box to see what he can eat. They always throw in some free goodies like Chinese donuts and cookies. And we even got a Chinese horoscope and calendar for 2023, the year of the Rabbit. A good reasonably priced lunch For lunch today I tried their Lemon Chicken. Some assembly required, it came with a container of sauce, nuggets of chicken, and rice on a separate plate. While plating was not high marks, having control over how much sauce to use, etc., was a good way to do it. The chicken pieces were good and I particularly liked the fried rice. The sauce was ok. I went all out and also got a Wonton Soup and an Egg Roll, and both seemed about average. Our server was great, she brought noodles with both duck sauce and mustard, and our food followed shortly thereafter. She checked back, always happy, to be sure we were doing ok. I thought ambiance was typical of this type of food establishment. However, I must say I was very impressed with the cleanliness of their front windows. Too expensive for a Chinese take out, and not even a good one. They charged me $1 per wing piece, 1/2 wing, whoever you call it. I just call it total BS. They want to play quarantine games, they're going to get quarantine misery. My money is not going there any more. read more

incredibly friendly, family owned local small business. pork fried rice is so good i can't get anything else it's all i've tried, and a really good amount of food for the price. the large is basically two meals for me. they also have a selection of sauces and silverware for takeout that's a nice touch. they also give you complimentary fortune cookie and this kind of biscuits i've never had before. couldn't recommend this more. a classic. read more

This time around the food was flavorful with lots of meat. I must point out I ordered my food " Spicy". Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, except the Vegetable Lo Mein, and Egg Rolls. Very, very happy with this order. If they keep this up, we'll keep coming back. They were busy with orders when I walked in to order around 5:15pm. There must have been three (3), people at their Woks cooking orders..... Keep up the Great Cooking....!!!!!!
