don't waste your money. food was so horrible. my friend bought two different meals at 20.00 a piece. i bought one costing same. thefood was tasteless, used spagetti noodles. it truly was so horribly bland. ambience sign said take out only. told them we drove a long way to have lunch there first time for us both. we were told we could eat there, served on paper plates and plastic silverwhere, no bowl for soup. had to eat out of plastic container. aomeone lied about rating. it was a horrible meal for us both first time visitors. don't ever waste your money there! not worth the drive! read more

I ordered over the phone and the food was ready when we got there. The owner was the invest the register. She was very polite and got my food quickly. There are booths you can sit inside but they do not wait on you. It takeout only. Food was really good. Smaller portions but all we needed. We will return!! read more

Restaurant is designed for carry out with some seats, but no table service. We love dim sum so had to give this location a try. We enjoyed all items including steamed chicken buns, baked pork buns, shu mai and fried rice. Everything was good and we will visit again. read more

No one ever thinks decent Chinese food located in an office building. But this place offers solid dim sum from an office building. Small place, simple decor, and not a lot of seating. But friendly people work here and they turn out solid food. No, portion sizes aren't huge. But they make up for it with good quality. The combo pan fried noodles were nice and crispy with a good amount of sauce, meat, and vegetables. The stuffed eggplant was nice and hot with tasty shrimp on the inside. Absolutely love this food! It is true Cantonese cooking. I almost want to keep it a secret it is so good, but I won't because their food deserves to be eaten by many! The staff is very nice and the ambiance is homey. We are without a doubt coming back again and again. read more

I got the steamed tofu with mixed veggies, steamed pork bbq buns, turnip cakes, and shrimp stuffed eggplant - all of which were fantastic plenty of food! The inside has limited seating just fyi, and on a Friday night it was already getting pretty busy at 6 pm. In the future I'll want to sit down and try more dim sum for sure. read more

First visit...isn't traditional dim-sum unfortunately ( no carts- limited menu ) There are other menus with Chinese options, or combinations for a fixed price or alacart dishes. ( mediocre Mongolian beef and Gen Tao and the pork fried rice was dry) We ordered a little of both...(dim-sum and regular menu) - good not great "if" you are accustomed to the real deal. Be careful on the dim- sum menu...each line item of 4- 5 options are a different price and the dishes go "up" in price on every line but if you don't know this or don't look closely, that $4.95 noted at the top left can be a bit deceiving when you order and a big surprise when you get the bill! Coke products served here, busy at lunch time so get there early. I won't do a repeat performance here so you can have my seat! For me...I will continue my search for the perfect dim sum. read more

We have been here twice now. We're happy to finally find a great Chinese restaurant local to us. The food is amazing, staff work very hard to ensure you get quality service and amazing food. This is a smaller, diner sized restaurant. Getting you food can take a little bit but it's well worth it. The place is always busy but that doesn't stop them from sending out some of the best Chinese food you'll ever eat. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Just know there might be a wait as is very popular with the locals and for good reason. The food portions are huge! Pleasantly surprised at this hidden gem in Bradenton! We ordered an assortment of dishes and liked pretty much all of them. The sweet and sour chicken was great-- good quality white meat chicken with the classic sauce served on the side. Combination lo mein was standard, but good. The shrimp stuffed eggplant was something I never tried before but enjoyed! The black bean sauce was a nice touch. I really loved the crystal shrimp dumplings. Let me start off by saying this place is a little small and gets really busy (because it's great) so I highly recommend calling ahead for a reservation or take out. That being said, the service is absolutely fantastic. The people are super friendly, helpful and hard working! The food tastes great and the variety is good. After a few Chinese restaurants in Orlando, we returned here. 10 minutes after opening and we were not the first one. Efficient and good service, it's pretty quiet (great). One diner has his lap top up -:) The chicken feet is wonderful - ok someone might find it unappetizing, and it was me when I first encountered it in Hong Kong many moons ago, but very quickly, I come to enjoy it. Two rice rolls dim sums are thick thinned and totally tasteless. The crullers should be crispy but theirs were mushy - a no no. Found this place on Yelp. Tucked away in a small center but was easy to find and had good parking. Place was very busy but we were able to get one of the last tables ( booth) in the somewhat small dining room. There were almost as many people there for takeout as for dining in. Not a lot of ambiance ... kinda your old school family joint, but clean and comfortable. There seemed to be only one person handling all the tables but she did a good job. Food came out as each dish was prepared (rather than all at once... typical of dim sum) ... which is nice The food was outstanding and I can see why they stay so busy. The chicken is rather dry and I was just looking to order fried rice and they don't sell it by itself. You have to get it with some sort of hibachi entree. I have now tried this place twice and both times it was very mediocre. I gave it another chance because I had read some positive reviews and thought maybe it had changed and it really hasn't. The English barrier is difficult as only one person in there really can communicate with you on any real level. If you're late at night and hungering for food, then it can fill the bill otherwise I would not recommend this place. read more

We've searched for the best Chinese food in the area, since we moved here 4 years ago. Some were OK, some not so much. Dim Sum is rhe best we've discovered in the area. We've had take away twice now and have been very happy with it. You have to order by phone (no online ability). Even though busy, the food was ready quickly. Consistently the best Chinese in the area. The dim sum is fresh and prepared to order. The dining area only has about 10 tables and there usually a line to get a table. There are 3 ladies handling the register, and food prep, behind the counter . One server for the tables. Patience is necessary but truly worth it. Take- out is wild. The counter is usually full of bags of food and a line of folks picking up their dinners. Again, completely worth the wait for the food is delicious, every time. I was pleasantly surprised tonight at Dim Sum Kitchen. Coming to Florida from San Francisco, CA I had been very spoiled with my restaurant options there. Which includes downtown China Town where there are some of the best Dim Sum restaurants in the world. Since moving to Florida I have been so disappointed in the restaurants here. On my way home tonight I decided to swing by Dim Sum kitchen for take out. I ordered baked pork bun, pork & shrimp dumplings and broccoli beef. The dumplings tasted just like I was in a San Francisco restaurant. The broccoli beef was good. But, the baked pork buns were phenomenal. They tasted like a flipping donut with bbq pork in the middle. Oh lord help me, I ate all 3 by myself, did not share with my husband at all. In fact, I kept how great they were a secret lol Atmosphere could have been a little better. But, who cares when the food is so good. Love this place! I will be back again. read more

She lives in California and has had it in Chinatown San Francisci but says the one from Dim Sum Kitchen is better. I would said just have the order to go is the best bet if you like the food here. The reason they are popular is affordable prices. I got bbq pork baked bun, fried shrimp balls, meat dumplings, stuffed egg plants, and lunch special. It take twenty minutes to prepare. So call them 30 minutes ahead to order.
