Updated to write that I've been coming here more and more often and hope he doesn't sell the place. It's the only consistent food in bailey. I've had almost everything on the menu at this point and guess what!? It all tastes as it should, has fresh ingredients and great portions, sparing enough to take some home for a second meal. The kids really enjoy it just as much as we do. They love hearing about the ingredients and flavors. Any chicken that is deep fried (sesame, kung pao) is perfectly done every time. I've had Chinese food all over the US and Canada. This little gem in the small town of Bailey Colorado beats them all!!! By far the best I've had! Their fried dumplings are homemade, without a doubt. I probably could have eaten 10, and I'm a small girl! Highly recommend the Sesame chicken: light, fluffy, packed full of flavor. Heck, make a special trip to this super cute town if for no other reason than to eat at China Village. It's on the right side of the curve coming into town, (close to the pot store) or the left if your coming from the ski areas. Hurry!!!!! It's so good! read more

Our first experience with the food from China Village - we did take out... Will definitely be going back, soon. All the food was flavorful and very fresh. Nice and hot as well. We started with the fried dumplings and crab wontons and both were very tasty with unique flavors. Love their sweet n sour sauce. Moved on to hot n sour soup and egg drop soup - we had to share everything so we could figure out what we liked best... fyi - we enjoyed every part of the meal. Our main courses were the chicken with cashew and the orange beef. Again can't say enough about the freshness of the food and perfectly prepared. Flavors were wonderful and meats/veggies were cooked just right On a side note, the accompanying fried rice was nice and fluffy versus a blob of rice that you get at some other places. I really hate having to routinely write that something is "good by Colorado and/or mountain standards." Such is the case again, though, for China Village. Located in the heart of Bailey, Colorado, this is a surprisingly good Chinese restaurant (for Colorado and the Colorado mountains) which admittedly offers better food and service than most of the Chinese restaurants in Denver. All of the soups and most of the dishes are perfectly nice. Their prices are on the low end, especially if going for a weekday lunch. The service has always been prompt, courteous and I have never had a long wait for my meals even if they are busy. China Village may not offer gourmet Chinese food on the same level as P.F. Changs or Golden Stix (in Conifer) but they still offer quality and comforting Chinese food. It's an affordable treat to go there. read more

So gross! The fried rice was dry and tasted old. Vegetables was microwaved and I am sure the chicken we ordered was as well. This place had great reviews and I am not sure how. I finally made it into China Village, I was pleasantly surprised by a clean and neatly designed cafe sized restaurant. The owners greeted me promptly and with big smiles. There were a few in house customers waiting for food and a lot of take away orders. I expected a long wait but my order was up in about 15 mins. The food was surprisingly delicious. I tried broccoli with beef. Lo Mien and the hot sour soup. I will make this my go to Chinese place here on the mountain. Thanks folks you have a lovely restaurant I have made several trips here now and find the food consistently good! The orange beef or chicken are especially delicious. read more

Ordered for pick-up tonight during dinner rush and was told 20 minutes, but was closer to 40 minutes, but I also own a restaurant and understand it is just an estimated time....think they just need one more person working and things will run very smoothly, but even with being busy, service was still very nice and polite....as far as the food goes, definitely the best Asian/Chinese food since moving to the mountain area of Bailey and one of the best since moving to Colorado.....Sesame Beef was phenomenal, as well as the Moo Shoo Chicken, Combo Fried Rice and my Hot Sour Soup were also very delicious....definitely is my go to spot when I am looking for Chinese read more

Awful food. Rude staff. I asked for one extra soy packet and was told "no". I thought that maybe she didn't hear me but she did. No utensils in the order so I had to get some at a convenience store. Food was dry and tasted like leftovers. Soup was cold and thin. Dumplings were dry and probably also leftovers. This place sucks. We won't be back. Arrived there at 8:25pm, they close at 9. The lady was extremely huge and said they closed in 15 mins. We confirmed they do indeed close at 9. We were starving and nothing else was open for miles so we insisted on dining in and promised to eat fast. The food was out in about 12 mins. We were rushing it down even though it was still a good 20/25 mins before close. She came back every couple of mins and couldn't have been ruder rushing us out the door. Ordered fried rice with pepper beef, steam rice with Szechwan shrimp. A order of fried shrimp and egg rolls. Very good. I would go back. Nice service and good feel in place. I really like this place. I've eaten at plenty of chinese restaurants down in Denver, but I've never quite liked them as much as I like China Village. Even some of the ones that are supposedly rated the best chinese food in the city. First off, the food is cheap. You can get a lot of food here and not break the bank. Second, the food usually comes out pretty fast. Third is the fact that the food is consistent from visit to visit, and is therefore consistantly good. I usually get some egg drop soup, eggrolls, and I like the chicken and brocolli, or sweet and sour pork. Sometimes I will also get the hot tea. Anything I have had here is just good. The only negatives I can think of is that I am pretty sure their portions are smaller than what I remember getting there 10 years ago. But I could be wrong. If you have multiple people, the table space can disappear very quickly as all the food comes out making it a little hard to juggle it all. Also the teenagers (could be older) that work here sometimes play some pretty annoying music or are talking on the phone a lot with friends. I don't care too much, but on occasion it can be a tad annoying when the rest of the restaurant is empty. Either way, if you like chinese food, you should eat here. read more
