Finally stopped by here since it's down the street from me. I love Chinese food but for some reason I never ate here. I decided to get take out and it was very good The decor is typical for a Chinese place but the service was excellent. Besides the crab rangoons not having crab...the food was good and the portions are great. Will eat again.

Food was great. The meals were large. The wait tme was very reasonable. The prices were pretty reasonable as well

I was really impressed with this place! You can eat in and take out. We got the hunan chicken and the Kung Pao chicken (I like the Hunan the best but both were good.) my only complaint was the portion size it was a little small for the price when dining in. read more

Why isn't this place packed? It's got to be the local economy or people don't know there is a hidden gem here. I had the opportunity to stop here for dinner. The restaurant is immaculate, super clean, fresh, and the staff was on point. The food was fantastic, right down to chef sculpted apple on the entree plate! I will certainly be back for more and hope highly recommend the food here. They did seem to have a decent amount of take out or delivery going on. We were happy to see the lunch buffet back open:) (since COVID). The lunch buffet is currently 11.95 including beverage & the hours are M-F 11-2:30. The buffet is small but does not disappoint! The choices include a variety of popular items, it's very clean & kept fresh with only small amounts freshly cooked & put on the bar. This is a family owned establishment & you can tell they work hard at what they live. There's no special ambiance, but typical Asian decor. The service is good too. Also, this is the only Chinese takeout place we use. We've tried a few others but much prefer this one. The order is always fast, hot & correct. Portions are normal. read more

Stopped in one random night as Yum Yum was closed. Place seems clean as lots of people were doing take out. We got a booth and ordered potstickers and sesame chicken. The potstickers weren't as fried as I'd like but still good. The sesame chicken was really good and a good portion for two people. The have a lunch buffet during the week as well. China wok is always a good option when you're in the mood for Chinese food and just so happen to be in the Hebron area. They are always friendly. Always. I once ordered from another Chinese place, then ended up accidently going to China Wok to pick up the order. They said they could fix my food quickly so I don't have to drive somewhere else, it felt like I waited about 3 minutes for my order. Sweet! They have a good location because there is plenty of parking; they have a pick up spot right in front of the door, although with a bar next door, sometimes the lot can be crowded. Overall, this is a great place to eat. I wish they delivered though, that would be great! Oh, and I wish they had a kids menu, but most places like this don't have one. read more

We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our delivery and the food was cold, really cold. I honestly think they forgot our order. I called after 50 minutes and said they were on their way. Poor service and crappy cold food. read more

So I got a notification that they have changed so much. No, the answer is you haven't changed since 2015 when I have a 2 star. Service is still slow, food is still high price for quality. Stopped by to satisfy a craving for fried rice. I ordered the combination rice. What a disappointment! One would think that for an item that is 90% rice, the protein would be flavorful. Nope. It tasted boiled and the rice had no flavor. Come on China Wok! At least toss some chicken bullion in. For what it's worth, I do think their buffet is a good value for the price. read more

Very good if you are dining in....BUT, Don't expect the same quality with take out! I have been eating here 2-4 times a month for the last 8 years. I take work associates for lunch and family for dinner...even place larger orders for luncheons at work. However, this is the second time I have ordered takeout ....NEVER AGAIN....rotten broccoli...REALLY...(please just throw it out--if you would not want to eat it then it shouldn't be served to others) no wonder they staple the bag shut---Keeps you from checking out the food. Chosen on a whim for what I call "mall chinese". It was just that. Inside they have a easy order from photos or a fuller menu. Several people picked up to-go orders so call-ahead to-go is more popular than dining in. Lunch special Mon-Sat til 3 and the setup for possible buffet, though no proof of the latter. Drinks come free refills in giant cups. Spring rolls were super hot and crunchy with no unpleasant surprises. Fried dumplings were full of meat and flavor. I suspect having them only steamed would make no difference. The Beef in Garlic sauce was a bit sweet and sticky. It was not spicy as advertised. But still decent. The baby corn in it was weird as if overbrined. The combo fried rice was just weird. Fried rice confettied with frozen mixed veg, cubes of what I assume were sweet bbq pork, steamed shrimp and chicken with a strange (boiled or steamed?) Texture. We were pleasantly surprised by a small watermelon wedge palate cleanser for each guest at the end of the meal in addition to the fortune cookies.Was it fantastic - no. Would I go back? Yes. China Wok is my go to for those nights you don't feel like cooking and are craving Chinese. The food is always consistent and good. The standard General Tso's, Orange Chicken, Lo Mein and Pad Thai are always solid and the spring rolls always hot and crispy. Any time I order it is always ready in 10-15 minutes and waiting for me when I arrive. They also have a lunch buffet with a smattering of the classic dishes. Pricing is average for take out, two entrees and an order of spring rolls is usually around the $20 mark. All in all China Wok fulfills that chinese take out craving when I don't want to leave Hebron for take out. They are in the strip behind Dairy Queen, it can be easy to miss if you haven't been there before. read more

I hate to have to do this to those of you that enjoy eating Chinese on lunch, but after this experience I feel the need to share with you. My mother and I went to China Wok in Hebron Kentucky today August 24th 2017, on my lunch and she was charged the same price for her water as I was for my soda/pop. When I asked the girl at the front desk about it, she was very rude and said it is the price as a soda. I did let her know that no other restaurant in the world charges for water unless it is bottled, her response very rudely I might add again was "it's the same price" as she slammed her hand down on the counter. While speaking with her I took a glance into the kitchen and I noticed that the gentleman, who was preparing food, was using the GARBAGE CAN with a piece of wood over it to prepare the raw chicken bare handed no gloves. I will never eat at this establishment again and I will be contacting the health department, because it is not ok to handle food bare handed or over a garbage can. I just felt you should all know to help prevent anyone getting food poisoning or any kind of food born illness. read more
