Shame on the Corral for their presentation tonight. I did let the Manager know of my dissatisfaction with the dirty restaurant.

Anyone who truly understands sushi knows that its foundation is the rice, and the rice served here was simply not sushi rice of acceptable quality. On top of that, the proportion of rice to fish was absurd. The fish was sliced so thin that it looked more like prosciutto than sashimi, and the sashimi portions suffered from the same problem. The rolls were packed with an excessive amount of rice, clearly used as filler, while the fish portions were minimal. Worse yet, the rice lacked the texture, flavor, and balance that authentic sushi rice should have. To make matters worse, the selection of fish was extremely limited. There was very little variety, both in the sashimi and in the sushi menu. For a restaurant that claims to offer authentic Japanese cuisine, the lack of options was surprising and disappointing. Perhaps this restaurant excels at cooked Japanese dishes, and that may explain the positive reviews, but for anyone specifically looking for quality sushi and sashimi, this is definitely not the place. As someone who knows and appreciates good sushi, I honestly would not give the sushi menu more than two stars. I am writing this review exclusively for people searching for authentic, high-quality sushi. If that is what you are looking for, I strongly recommend going somewhere else.
