I ordered fried calamari for an appetizer and shrimp fried rice for my entree. Calamari was good with sweet and sour sauce. The shrimp fried rice needed a little work. When the rice was made, it was like it was cooked a little too long and was slightly gummy/pasty. Service was kinda slow. At end of meal I waited about 7 min. before I had to ask the other waitress at the counter on her phone for a to go box. Then the other waitress finally appeared. Place looked okay. It really doesn't stand out from the outside but once you try the food there is no going back! Seriously, be prepared to gain a couple of pounds after a week of continuous eating. The menus is extremely diverse ranging from your average Chinese, like orange chicken, to something a little new, like seafood platter, both of which are really good! The portions are pretty large so bring an empty stomach. The staff is super attentive and charming. Bring your wallet you're gonna wanna tip generously! The food is pretty cheap ranging from $3-12 for appetizers and meals. They also offer soups or salads before the meals. I recommend the hot and sour but most people get the eggflower which is delicious as well. The restaurant overall is pretty clean. Although it's kind of weird to see fish while eating fish You get the whole "I'm eating your brethren" type of feel. Nonetheless, this is a perfect group restaurant. They also offer carry out! If you do decide to grab something food from here, sweet and sour chicken or honey walnut shrimp/chicken are my top favs. read more

It's pretty good! I would give it 4 stars, but I gave my favorite place 4 stars, and this isn't as good. For the billionth time, I wish Yelp allowed half stars! Consider this 3.5 stars! (Although, in that case I would also give my favorite place 4.5 stars!) I have been here twice. The first time, I ordered Almond Chicken with Pork Fried Rice, and remembered them both to be outstanding. I went out of my way to tell the person who "referred" me that it was a great recommendation, so I know I really liked it. The second time, I ordered the same, but a bunch of other stuff too: Sesame Beef - OMG, this was amazing. With literally every bite, I exclaimed "Oh my gosh, this is soooo goooood!" I've never had Sesame Beef before, but the description sounded delicious, and I'm glad I got it, even though it was sweet (I normally don't like sweet food - especially entrees. But don't let the fact that it's sweet deter you. The flavor balance of the fried batter neutralizes the sweetness. The only thing that would make it better is if it were a spicy-sweet.). That said - it says it is served on rice noodles, which I was super excited about. But I could hardly find any in my container. They were barely a garnish, and they were so completely saturated with the sauce, they might as well have just been a thin sponge. There were a few pieces of broccoli in there, which I thought I would really enjoy. I love broccoli. But the sauce is sweet, and broccoli in sweet sauce isn't good. Lastly, good as it was... and it's going to sound like I'm complaining, but I'm not... I can't promise there is actually any beef in it. It may just as well have been deep fried batter covered in sauce. The flavor of the sauce with the fried crispiness was excellent. But if there was beef in there, it had to be paper thin. I don't say that because the pieces are small - they actually are pretty hearty! I'm ONLY saying it because I didn't TASTE any beef, because the entire flavor was the sauce and the crispiness. And it was delicious. Kung Pao Chicken - Okay, so first of all, this is NOT SPICY! At all. And I do not have a super high tolerance for spicy. I can handle 3 stars comfortably, 4 stars TOPS. This was maybe a 1. Yellow mustard is spicier. That said, it was delicious. It just wasn't spicy, and I really wanted it to be. I paid a dollar extra EACH for water chestnuts and baby corn, both of which I am accustomed to having in my Kung Pao. I'm not a huge fan of zucchini, and it was plentiful. I also feel like maybe they substituted the water chestnuts and baby corn for some of the chicken, because I really had to search for the chicken. House Low Mein - Yuck. I didn't like anything about this. First of all, it was sweet. Secondly, it smelled super fishy upon opening the container. Third, none of the meat was very good. I got the House as a way to sample each of the meats for future reference, and I was pretty disappointed. The beef was a little bit gamey, but the texture was great. The pork was super dry and kind of gamey also. The chicken was kind of dry, but okay. The shrimp was actually the best part, and it was the one I was most nervous about, in part because of the smell. But also because many places elect not to "devein" their shrimp, but this shrimp was clean. The other thing I appreciated about this dish was that it had snowpeas in it. Sadly, that wasn't enough to make it good. I hate wasting food/money, but I have an entire container remaining of this, and I don't plan to eat it. Also, weirdly, the Almond Chicken and Pork Fried Rice were just okay. The Almond Chicken was good, but too salty. And the Pork Fried Rice was good, but kind of bland. So that was odd. The prices and portions were all VERY good. For everything listed above, plus tax and tip, I was $55 out the door. I have enough left for meals to last a week. If you aren't looking for spicy food, and you like a good "asian greasy spoon," give it a try! It is better than most americanized chinese food. read more

As I walked into the establishment I was welcomed by one of the waitresses and quickly seated. The aromas in the air were quite inviting and made me excited to try out the food on their menu. As a big fan of Egg Foo Young, I quickly ordered their Combo #1 Dinner special which came with a combination of Egg Foo Young, Chicken Lo Mein, and Pork Fried Rice. The meal also included a soup or salad, to which I opted for a cup of their Hot and Sour Soup. Now I will discuss the meal! The hot and sour soup was at the perfect temperature. The "heat" (spiceyness) was at a mild flavor and the sourness was just great. Overall the soup is something I would definitely recommend. Very fragrant and delicious. The Egg Foo Young was VERY delicious. I would recommend these to anyone who enjoys omelettes. The gravy on top was the icing on the cake!! Very well seasoned and compliments the Egg Foo Young very much! The Pork Fried Rice and Chicken Lo Mein, I will admit, was about the same as any average PFC or CLM you would find at your local Chinese cuisine restaurant. Very good and filling, could have used a little less water chestnuts and a bit more chicken. Overall, I would recommend this establishment to all my friends and have them try out the delicious Egg Foo Young as well as a cup of their very tasty Hot and Sour Soup! I look forward to coming back and trying out more of their menu! Also, this restaurant is very budget friendly with meals ranging from $5.00-$15.00. And the waiting staff was amazing! These reviews are pretty misleading. I was hungry for some chinese food and i seen china wok. The place seemed rundown and dark, the food and service was not even better. Some hispanic waitress was not very helpful, she was rude. I had to ask a busser to tell me about the food. And when i got my food it was very portionally small. So small i probably had to order to plates. it was probably best to go eat at the china buffet. If you have plans to watch your weight i suggest this place. read more
