So, we're traveling looking for some sushi and this appears to fit the bill, well... if we planned on eating in our car! Yes, take out only. So don't bother if you want to sit down and enjoy food and service, they don't offer that here. Needless to say, NEXT... we're out. This is the 2nd time eating here and it's no where near good as the ones in yakima, the California crunchy roll was soaked in cooking oil, literally drenched in a pool of oil . Not to mention they have RAID bug spray laying around the dining area??? Do not recommend last time eating at this place for sure . read more

This location has the freshest tasting sushi out of all of them around the area. I've been to all of them but I'll make the extra drive just to go to this location. The lady and her son are really nice and humble, they provide the best customer service I've ever received. They're aware of all their customers making sure you have water or the drink you ordered but not to the point where it's annoying and don't even let you eat. The young man (sushi chef) is the one who prepared the dish for me he really takes pride in his job every little detail from carved butterflies to a flower made out of lemon peal, super creative and just overall amazing food and people! read more

I came here for lunch with some family. It was their choice to choose this restaurant as I was told it was a popular place in this small town of Moxee. The inside is very clean and spacious. It can accomodate large groups of people. The owner is this sweet Japanese woman who greets you every so often. She likes to make sure everything is up to par. I noticed the person making the sushi is Japanese and the person cooking in the back is of a different ethnicity. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered a 2-piece Nagiri Unagi and a bowl of Miso soup. Their Miso Soup was surprisingly delicious. It had the perfect flavor and seasonings. The Unagi was decent. I'm quite picky but I can't complain considering you're in a town that's in the middle of nowhere. My Beau ordered the Pork Teriyaki meal with Gyoza. It came with rice and a salad. I had a taste of my Beau's teriyaki. The sauce was on the sweeter side. We had both ordered a cup of green tea and was so disappointed when it was served in a regular coffee mug with a tea bag. Bah! The tea in the tea bag was so lackluster. I was hoping for tea from tea leaves served from a tea pot with small tea cups like most teriyaki places I've frequented. I drank the tea anyways because it was freezing cold outside and needed some warmth in my system. My Beau's father and sister both ordered the chicken teriyaki meal and in addition, ordered some onion rings, which looked quite delicious. The portions are large. This restaurant serves teriyaki dishes, varying sushi, burgers, and I did notice a couple of Korean dishes. The menu is quite extensive. The person who was serving us provided excellent customer service. She would come by every so often to fill our water glasses without being asked to do so. She would check up on us without being overbearing. The owner would also come by to say hello. If this restaurant where in the West Side, I probably would have rated it a 3 but considered the location of the town it's in. The food is ok and the service is excellent!! read more

Still slow and the people are rude. I thought I'd give it another try and they messed up my order. Instead of making it right the lady behind the counter wanted to argue with me and made me call my wife to verify the order (it was a to-go). I won't be back. But I should mention each NYT is independently owned and operated so they all are a bit different. I just won't go back to the one in Moxee. read more

Probably the worst sushi I've had in a long time. Traveling through and stopped here because of the raving reviews- but I feel like I had to post this and warn the visitors. Great place with wonderful sushi. Very reasonable with great service. Had a wonderful rainbow roll, the sushi platter and unagi. Lots of folks came in so the locals obviously know that it is a good place to eat. They have lots of choices on the menu if sushi is not your thing. They also have gluten free soy sauce if you need gf. read more

A little hole in the wall but it was so worth it! Fastest service and the sushi was amazing! Lots of options to choose from and we had chicken teriyaki, gyoza, and 7 rolls for under a hundred bucks! Fresh fish and the sushi chef was from Florida and had some spicy new menu items to try. I won't go back to any other place the hostess/manager is so kind and welcoming in an hour and 20 minutes she topped up our glasses 9 times and constantly made sure we liked everything. There are several New York Teriyakis in the area but this may be the best. It blows the one in Selah out of the water in every way. The Donburri is excellent. The sashimi is clean and flavorful in the ways it should be, not fishy. They really care about the quality of the cuisine and it shows. After all, they've nigiri in Moxee and really good nigiri. You can't get it in Selah. This may be the undiscovered food haven of the Yakima area. Eat here and you won't be sorry. The service is fast and very friendly. Excellent all around. read more

This placed used to be amazing, my family went several times a month, but ever since the management changed we've had a problem every time we've gone there. My order has gotten messed up every single time. We sighed and sucked it up cause the food was still delicious. But the last time we went to this establishment my significant other spent 5 min coughing up a thin piece of wire that was mixed in with his food, maybe from a dish scrubbie or something. Regardless, that was the last straw and we haven't been back to this particular location since. If we want New York we drive across town now. read more

Great sushi and Japanese food. My wife and family eat here at least once or twice a week. The food and service is great. I travel a lot so I know good sushi and this place is as good as it gets Awesome food, the food is the best Japanese and Korean in the Yakima Valley. I was amazed to find such great food and service in the little town of Moxee. I think the placed is owned by the NY teriyaki on N 1st in Yakima (which is also great) but this little gem of a place is even better food . I have eaten at some of the other New York Teriyaki restaurants but this was my first time eating at the one in Moxee. I have have to say that I was happy to see that the interior of the restaurant was nice and clean, just like their other restaurants. As usual the food was excellent and arrived in a timely manner.
