Pad kee Mao was good but it wasn't very much food for the price. Flavor was good, spicy which I like!

Food was okay...we ordered 2 dishes and an app. One was decent, but the noodle dish was bland. I really wanted to like it, and heard good things....but the portion size was incredibly small. Should have been a side portion...and the $20 price for it seemed extremely steep for what it was. Just noodles and a little cabbage and onion...for that price I feel it should have been the noodles with a side of protein or something. It was about the size of a side of rice at panda express to give u an idea. Not sure why I've heard so many good things about this place and we were so disappointed. I've ordered DoorDash here a few times and every time I do it's amazing, fast, and they use the correct spice level. They have dishes that my vegetarian daughter will eat. I have had zero complaints here. She even asks me to order from here more often because they have what she likes! Me and my mom love doing our lunch dates specifically for the thai teas and kao soi curry noodles. It is one of the most delicious meals ever, the broth is so rich and flavorful. Another go to is swimming rama with it's semi-sweet peanut sauce that is on top. As well as the fried tofu for an appetizer. We've always had amazing service and they have been so understanding and accommodating with food allergies or food sensitivities. read more

Was in the mood for Thai so we decided to check out this place we had never before tried. The place is very casual, nothing special. We were seated immediately and a waitress appeared right away. The menu has a wide variety of options including "chef specials." I wasn't feeling adventurous so had the pad Thai. It was excellent and the portion large enough to take home enough for a second meal. My friend had cashew chicken stir fry that was loaded with chicken, cashews and colorful veggies that gave it a great presentation. Everything was made fresh after ordering and the flavor reflected that. I look forward to returning and being more adventurous with my menu choices. As an aside, Bangkok also has an Asian grocery about one block north of the restaurant for those who wish to experiment on their own. read more

Business owner responded with a condescending message about how they closed for an emergency, even though they don't even know what the day was that I am referencing. So tired of businesses in the service industry making excuses. Probably closed early because they were not busy. A choice they can make, but it comes at the risk of annoying and losing customers. You're in the hospitality industry. Provide good service or expect bad feedback when you choose not to. Customers have families and emergencies and adversity too. The food was amazing as always, I've gone here twice now and I've been satisfied each time. The service was fast and both waiters I've had have been friendly each time. The ambience is nice and calm, it's not usually too overcrowded which I love. It's like each bite you take has so much flavor, good quality noodles, and meat. This food was NOT GOOD. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad Woonsen and Cashew with Beef. All of it was bland, but very spicy. The beef in the cashew dish was grey in color and tasted awful. We're loyal to Tikkys in Moxee and only ventured out because they are closed on Saturday. Needless to say we won't be back. Yuck yuck yuck In response to the business owner who said maybe we couldn't handle the spice. I wasn't complaining about how spicy it was. I've been to Bangkok numerous times. I ALWAYS order their green curry, level 3, because I like a little spice. I love their service. I often take my friends there. In fact, I have taken multiple groups for 'work-lunches'. Today, I took another friend to try it. As ALWAYS, I ordered the green curry, level 3. It came out looking beautiful as usual. I picked out a bamboo shoot and put it in my mouth and instantly choked. My eyes immediately teared up and my lips were on fire. I thought I must not have stirred the dish up enough or I must have got a spicy bite. So I dumped all my rice into the bowl, stirred everything up really well, and tried another bite. Same extreme result. I asked to talk to the manager and explained how I have been there several times, love the green curry and ALWAYS order it the same way each time, but there is definitely an issue with this order. She insisted she only 'added 3 stars' and refused to fix the order or take it off my tab. I totally get that some don't understand the 'real' Thai spice heat but when someone explains that they have been there multiple times, orders the same thing EVERY TIME, and KNOWS it's not right.....maybe considering you made a mistake and trying to fix it might be the better PR approach. read more

We ordered appetizers and lunch for only 3 people... The papaya salad was horrible, and I sent it back! It only tasted of fish sauce.. no lime and was so wilted! $15.00 For $10 you get 7 pieces of calamari, but it was tender. After being hyped up by the Yakima Thai Cuisine page, we finally had opportunity to try. The food LOOKED amazing, it had great presentation. We had Spring rolls and Pad Thai. We were "warned" about the spice, but to be honest, I couldnt tell. The pad thai lacked flavor and had minimal sauce which made the noodles clump. The spring rolls were just eh... I did eat it, because we ordered it, But Id be hesitant to order it again. We may try again in future, but will probably stick with YTC. read more

FINALLY!!! I am a huge fan of Thai food and have been missing it since I moved here. Yakima now has good Thai food available! No more driving to Tri Cities to get my fix. So far I've had the red curry, which has amazing flavor, and the perfect spice to feel a slight burn with a level 2 spiciness. I feel bad writing this, but I would absolutely not recommend this place. It was the worst Thai food I have ever had. The Pad See Ew was exactly that... ew. It had a thick and salty sauce that made it taste more like a pasta dish than Pad See Ew. The best way to describe the sauce is the word brown, no kidding, that's what it tasted like. The broccoli on it tasted okay with the sauce, but the noodles were drowning. The black rice pudding was disgusting. It tasted rancid. It smelled gross and tasted even worse, to the point I actually called the restaurant to let them know. It was swimming in whatever they mixed with it with a dollop of coconut cream floating in the center. The Thai tea tasted old. I know that sounds weird, but that is what it tasted like. The gals working there were lovely. Very kind and my food was ready quickly. Overall, for almost $40 for one person, it is over priced, low quality and a definite skip if you are looking for Thai food. This restaurant satisfied my craving for Thai food. Parking is good. There were at least 12 tables, maybe a few more, but I'd qualify it as having limited seating. They use a nice style of silverware that felt good to use (not the stamped out thin metal junk). I ordered Kao Soi Curry Noodles and though it was saltier than my health dictates, it was very good. I'll ask for something that is prepared with less salt next time. Husband ordered the yellow curry and when asked about spicy level he said '3'. Our order taker asked if this was our first visit and we said yes, so she told husband he might want to start with a '1' because she didn't want him to get 'damaged'. She was right, husband can handle heat, but said his dish was quite spicy. We'll be going back to try a number of the other items on the menu. I am sensitive to eggs and all the good sounding noodle dishes have eggs in them, so I hope they will prepare my order without the egg. Business indicates it is also a Thai market, but I only saw a wire shelf on one wall with dry goods. I didn't inquire if they kept fresh items on hand to sell. Anyway, I can't speak to all the unfavorable reviews. but would recommend this place. read more

This is outstanding Thai. HOT Thai! As good Thai should be. In my opinion Thai should be HOT, and they deliver. Like many restaurants they run a star rating on how hot you want it. If you choose anything less than 4 out of 5... you don't like Thai! It's the best in Yakima for sure. Best I've had in many years. We looked forward to this place opening. We have been here four times now, and it is generally ok food, though a bit Americanized. There are a few minor issues-the owner expects a tip for take out, and you get your food as spicy as they want it to be. Despite us asking specifically how spicy the numbers are, and going down accordingly, my last meal was so hot I couldn't eat it, and I love spicy food. This was the worst Thai food we've ever had. Several of the menu items were not available or they didn't have the ingredients to make them. The fresh spring rolls were nothing but bean sprouts and lettuce wrapped in rice paper with one prawn and they charged extra for the prawn. Absolutely no Thai flavoring in any of the food, either.
