Update to Review.. tried again. It's been 7 months since my last review of this location and it's still going downhill. Not slowly either. The world we live in is all GrubHub, DoorDash, etc. so the inside is beginning to reflect that with taking out a whole register to use as a pickup counter and the island you used to be able to sit and eat at has no island seating. We decided not to GrubHub, DoorDash, or UberEats because they had a really good special going for Rapid Pick-Up. Since we live around the corner, I figured I'd save on the delivery fee, service fee, tip, and get to utilize the near 50% special. The money was GREAT but the timing was absolutely unacceptable! The app told me to arrive around 6:01 to 6:05 as that will be the window in which our order "should be complete" given the time I ordered everything. Cool. I give them an additional 10 minutes because I know this location can get swamped. I arrive at 6:15 and they haven't even started our order. I'm patient. Fine. I wait. and wait... and wait... and wait. 45 Minutes goes by. I'm then approached by a staff member to see what I'm "standing around waiting for?" I responded with "my order I placed on the app nearly an hour ago." She asked for my name, went back behind the counter, and continued working on orders. I saw what appeared to be our order beginning to be assembled. An hour after the order was placed, it was bagged and handed to me. I went home with the order, which was accurate. Husband ordered just Wisconsin Mac n' Cheese. What an embarrassment. It looked like it was pre-made noodles that they threw a three-cheese blend of shredded cheese ontop of and threw in the bag for you to then reheat at home in your microwave. He said he had about three bites after heating it up in the microwave and threw it out ... "I make better mac n' cheese and it comes from a box!" I ordered the Japanese Pan Noodles since they have done away with everyone's favorite Mushroom stroganoff. My meal was warm but bland. Again, it appeared they had just a pre-made grouping of items they just tossed around and didn't care to make "different". Potstickers for the LOSS! Sauce is essentially cold soy sauce with some crushed red chili pepper flakes in it floating around. So sad. I think after this sad attempt again, we're done here. It hasn't just gone downhill, it rolled over the cliff, and needs life support if it's going to pull back out of this for us. First time visiting an N&C and will state that the biggest plus to me is that it offers a nice alternative to the other chain places. Menu is relatively simple and straight forward and can accommodate gluten sensitive people as well as vegetarians. Place was clean and following distancing protocols, service was fast and friendly and food was served hot. read more

It took 30 minutes for my friends and I's food to come out, with little to no one in here, with people ordering after us and getting it before us. The only thing we ordered was a regular mac and cheese. That does not take 30 minutes, as one of our friends can support as they work at one themselves in bel air. The staff is incompetent and clearly not trained well in regard to service. And a little cherry on top: the bathroom doors do not lock, from what I saw. First, we thought it looked closed. Very dim lighting inside and the lights were not on outside nor was the sign lit up. The employees are lacking management(when we were there) disorganized and slow due to organization. There was a line when we came in, so I wasn't surprised that we waited awhile to order, but now I have been waiting half an hour for the food to come out. Noodles was a staple for me in my college years; but my recent experience was awful so either my palate has refined and my expectations are higher, or the quality has greatly deteriorated. I needed a quick meal while I was in the area and remembered there was a location close by. I checked out the menu and was immediately sold by the very affordable prices. There was confusion when I arrived because the grubhub order had not yet processed. The very pleasant but obviously frustrated manager (with her employees) was helpful in explaining. She had to command the cook back to his station who was either ready to clock out (judging by him being out of uniform and in basketball shorts!!!!) or just was not interested in working period! I kept a close eye on him to make sure he sanitarily prepared my food. I could tell by the way he carelessly threw together the ingredients the meal would be terrible...well they didn't disappoint for once. I ordered the penne rosa and the pasta was too chewy and the spinach was not even wilted (thanks chef!!) I don't usually venture to Noodles for food, but a friend of mine bought a salad for me from another Noodles location very recently and it was delicious. I thought I'd give them another try today at the Towson location. And unfortunately, this location stinks-literally. I just finished lunch here & usually I chill for a bit to let my food digest, but I couldn't do it. I arrived about twenty minutes after opening, so I figured things would be nice and fresh for the day. When I came in, I noticed that the back kitchen part was in need for a serious upgrade. It just looked kind of old and unappealing. I ordered to-go, but changed my mind at the last minute and decided to eat in. The cashier was nice and polite. She even gave me a cup for ice water, as some places charge for ice, water, etc. Anyways, I was the only person in line, so after paying, I waited on the side for my salad. It seemed like the guys in the prep area were making online orders or still setting up, so I looked for a table. I shifted three times before finding suitable table. Booths were dirty from bits of food left probably from the day(s) prior. Tables were obviously halfway wiped. After a couple of minutes, I decided to go to the bathroom. That was probably the worst experience I've had in a public bathroom in a while. No place to hang my coat, so I had to lay it on the sink. There was only one toilet, and it was gross. Mind you, guys, this was not long after opening and it was so nasty! It smelled so bad in there, almost lost my appetite. I hurried out of there and went back to the front to see if my salad was done. This was after about ten minutes of looking for a table, going to the bathroom, etc. The guy preparing my salad was very slow. Still, no one was in line and they only had my order to make. I don't come to Noodles often, but how long does it take exactly to make a salad? Anyways, I finally got my food and the salad was fairly sad looking. It was *drenched* in dressing, but nonetheless still edible. As I ate, I couldn't help to keep smelling a funky smell. I couldn't tell if it was coming from the bathrooms or the carpet, or both. I usually really like noodles and company but I guess today is probably the wrong time of year to dine here. It's the last Sunday before Christmas and the restaurant wasn't really that busy but over half the tables are dirty and unusable. There's one girl clearing tables but she doesn't clean them after she picks up the dishes; the place is really filthy. Noodles and company usually has free WiFi, and when the manager delivered my food to the table I asked her about the wifi not being on. Reply was maybe be rebooted; that was 10 minutes ago and it still doesn't show up so she never took the one minute to reboot. Check out the photos they were all taken in about 5 minutes of each other. Take notice of the pictures of before and after, and also the photo of the employee busing the tables (she has no cleaning towel to wipe down the tables). This is disgusting! If the hygiene practices out front are reflective of the entire kitchen this is bad news. I will never eat here again at this location and I would recommend you never eat here as well. If I could I would give this location a zero star rating. After finishing my meal I pulled the manager aside and told her how disgusted I was with the front of the house and commented about how it might reflect on the back of the house. read more

Let me start by saying that I ordered online and had the WORSE experience with DoorDash's portion of the delivery. Door Dash's driver NEVER delivered my order. I reached out to Noodles and spoke with Jakia (who provides AMAZING customer service by the way) who informed me to reach out to DD because the driver picked it up and their system said it was delivered. DD pretty much told me it is not their fault because it wasn't through their site, BUT it was their driver. After numerous attempts at a resolution with DD and being rudely connected to different reps without notice... I called Noodles & Co. back and spoke with both Jakia and Kyla who rectified the situation EVEN though they were not responsible for the mishap. I definitely applaud the staff for handling that so well and being able to provide me with an option for replacement. read more

Noodles & Co. Is a great business, but THIS specific location has some of the worst service in the "quality fast food" segment I have ever experienced. I took my wife to this location for dinner. The place was about 1/3 full or customers. We place our order to dine in, and realize the cashier never gave us a numbered placard for table delivery purposes. The cashier had a lazy attitude and just didn't want to be there. No eye contact, no pleasant attitude. I go back and remind her we are dining in and remind her of her own process. She gives us a number. I go back to our booth. By the time I sit down an employee approaches us, I assumed it was the manager, and she explains to my wife that they were "out of" the noodles her dish requires. They'll have to make more and it will take 10 additional minutes. Let that marinade for a moment. Noodles & Co. is out of noodles (or running low). Were the large and frequent requests an abnormal trend? While sitting there we took notice of all of the tables left with dirty dishes. We counted 4 tables or booths with dirty plates resting on them for at least 20 minutes each. It was really filthy. To contribute to the overall disheveled vibe, the drink counter with straws and napkins looked like an absolute pile of confusion. To be fair, there were at least 6 employees working at the time, and the crowd was very light When the food arrived the guy who dropped it off was talking to us, but we could barely understand him. He spoke softly and used few words. It was awkward. Additionally, the table across from us had their food delivered by the same guy, and he never gave them utensils. Finally, on our way out a light surge in customers arrived and there was a small line. The "manager" jumped behind a cash register and announced "I can help the next person. I CAN HELP THE NEXT PERSON!" It was just flat out rude how the manager barked the prompt to to come over and order. Conclusion: Great food at a low and fair price, fun flavors and different pasta dishes than the usual Italian Restaurant. But if you're looking for service you might run into a manager with no customer service "touch", a server who mumbles, and a cashier who would rather choke on noodles to end her shift rather than do their job. To improve their rating, management would have to focus on service with the goal of achieving a "Chic-Fil-A" level of customer service. read more

If it was possible to give a minus one star review - I would. On three separate occasions we have tried to order from the Owings Mills Noodles and Company. Tonight's order through door dash was canceled because the restaurant never confirmed the order. On another instance they closed early. A third time no one answered the phone. I understand that we are living in difficult time. With a pandemic that is ravaging the hospitality work force - we have tried our best to support local restaurants. Layout of the restaurant whisks one through the ordering line to beverage station to seating which varies from intimate to larger tables. Having tried many dishes on the menu, you can't make a wrong selection. And if you want something off the menu, my daughter's fav is the Bacon Mac: mac n cheese with bread crumbs, diced meatballs, bacon, and diced tomatoes. I am slightly irritated to see how many rude entitled reviews i'm reading in the comments. Clearly people expect businesses to be flawless despite the struggles this pandemic has caused this last year.I applaud every food service worker who manages to provide okay/good customer service right now. It has been a hard year. But as a regular I'm talking 3-4 times a week because I work at Staples, and I love it! The food is great, and obviously there's some slip ups here or there but I found if you communicate and treat them like people instead of machines, they will go above and beyond to correct them or redo your order if needed! The staff of this location is just 10/10! Do they have days where they're less bubbly? Yes. But they are consistently trying there best and with that we can make strides towards being more kind and understanding as customers. I wouldn't consider them fast food like it's not gonna pop out in 3 minutes like a Mcdonald's Karen, they cook the food in front of you and have a more detailed menu! Also have delivery, online, and in person orders and are always busy. I've had the occasion where i've waited 22 minutes out of my 30 minute lunch break and I've learned that if it is that busy that I have two options, I can place my order ahead of time, or I can just simply communicate that to someone and they will make sure to speed it up if they know you take time out of your busy day to eat something that'll hold you over for the next 8 hours of your life. Regardless they've always been so sweet and they know me by name and talk with me and I love them. They all deserve a raise and some freaking tip jars! Why on earth are they not allowed the opportunity for gratuity. They have it at Rita's, and other places that don't do full on servers. The mac & cheese is to die for! Add 2 salt packets and you're set for a creamy delicious great sized mac! I don't expect much from fast food, but the experience at ordering and carryout was the worst I've had in years. 2 cashiers, one waved me over to the other one who was with a customer and then started taking the order of the handsome guy behind me. My cashier finished with the customer ahead of me, looked me in the eye, yawned and turned away from me. When I got her attention (mind you I'm standing in front of her register) I ordered. I paid. My receipt printed and she turned away from me again. I stood and waited for the receipt. When she finally made eye contact I asked if I needed to sign anything, and she said no. Then I asked for the receipt. *Sigh.* Then the food came out. The counter woman said my name so I took the bag. The top was folded over but it was light. I opened it and only one of the two items we ordered was in the bag. I tried to get her attention. She didn't turn around, so I asked "is the other meal coming out?" A lot of angry shrugging and eventually a third woman put the second dish in the bag with the first, tearing the paper bag in the process. It's a competent Noodles & Co. location. The food is good, and tastes like what you'd get at any Noodles & Co. location. The staff is mostly friendly, if a little absent-minded. I wouldn't normally be compelled to write a review of a chain restaurant, but there is a seriously FOUL SMELL near the soda fountain. You can smell it at 10 paces. It's mold. I've been there a handful of times in the past few months and the smell remains. It's gross and needs to be fixed. It makes me scared of what else is going ignored in this restaurant if the staff is totally cool with that nasty mold smell (which can be smelled from the register and several tables) and doesn't take steps to find mold and remove it and replace whatever is harboring the smell. Clean it up, guys. Seriously. It's a restaurant. People eat there. There is no way the staff doesn't smell it; it's stronger than the pee of a 10,000 tom cats. It's gross. The woman at the register was very unfriendly and then became extremely rude when I asked for a new cup for my water. My first cup had a large piece of food stuck to it, which she snatched back from me after I requested something else. I didn't appreciate that at all. When my food arrived the chicken looked like a piece of steak. I explain to the lady that the chicken was burned. She said it's not burned and then asked me if I want to taste it. I know they're trying, but they need to try harder. What do I mean? For starters, clean the damned tables. We ate here at the beginning of lunch on a Saturday, so there was no excuse for 90% of the tables to be covered in crumbs, and other sticky food detritus. So what-was it left that way from the previous day? Because I know they don't serve breakfast-ya-know?! For seconds, don't just wrap the damned cutlery in a napkin, try WASHING the silverware THOROUGHLY before bundling it up in the napkin papoose swaddling! We had to ask for new silverware twice and still ended up washing it off with a napkin...good motivation to use the pre-wrapped chopsticks, I guess. We got our food-Japanese broad noodles and the Indonesian peanut noodles-both with fried tofu. The Japanese noodle dish was unidimensionally soy-salty in spite of the cilantro, sesame seeds and vegetables. The Indonesian noodles were (refreshingly) spicy hot, but it lacked any true peanut taste. I know-what do I expect from a chain restaurant that's attempting to do something besides sliders and fries?! Like I said, it's an attempt at something different, but maybe the seasoning needs a re-vamping from people that know about these ethnic dishes. read more

Shout Out to the Yelp homie Erika F. for the pictures she supplied in her Noodles & Company-Pikesville review. Her photos had me salivating over my company's keyboard & led me to go visit my local Noodles & Co after work for dindin. I got to this location around 8pm on a weeknight and, unlike the previous reviewers, I did not see a filthy/disgusting dining room. There were, however, several customers dining at the time of my visit so who's to say if maybe their tables would have went uncleaned for a while once they left? Dunno/DontCare either way as all I can speak for is my food & takeout experience and I was definitely satisfied on both counts. All the staff members I encountered (from the ones behind the counter to the kind young sir cleaning the beverage station) were pleasant and quick to greet me with a smile. I ordered the parmesan crusted chicken over penne rosa (withadded olives because they're my best friends) which was great and I also had the tomato basil bisque which was on the money honey! Yum Yum! Speaking of money, my meal ran me about $8 with no drink, which I was a little put off by, but eh, for a "smedium" bowl of pasta and soup that satisfied my tumtum, I'll save my complaints..this time. read more

This is place #1 in my "I don't feel like cooking, so I walk across the street" dining plan. the dining room and everything is usually clean. It is never packed here, save a few groups of Towson students. The portions are decently sized and the bowls are the reusable type. I have tried the Wisconsin Mac and Cheese, and found that adding more cheese in lieu of a cheese sauce is not the right answer. That would equal Farfalle plus cheddar cheese. I also have a beef with it not being baked(even a little bit, please?) The Whole Wheat Linguini was dry, but the accompanying peppers pick up the slack. Olive oil is your friend... N&C has a great niche market as Chipotle gets impatiently crowded, and Einstein Bros closes early. and Red Robin, Applebee's, Gino's and Glory Days are almost the same place(s)... PS. I have given this place many chances. On one occasion, we paid for two drinks, and the soda machine was down - great. Maybe it was a good thing considering the smell coming from that area. It would have been nice to at least offer one of the bottled drinks instead. A lot of the tables were dirty, too. I usually just stick to carry-out, but they can screw that up, too. I ordered a Med Salad which is only good because of the dressing, and they forgot the dressing. The noodles are consistently dry. I guess they are trying to conserve sauce, but that's pretty counterproductive when it makes you lose customers. Worst of all, once when I had a bigger order, the manager seemed to be annoyed by rolling her eyes each time I ordered another item. I've never had an issue with this location. My food is always prepped timely and how I ordered it. Anytime that I've been there, the manager or even one of the employees keeps me updated on how long my order will be. I've had the manager apologize to me if I've waited longer than 5 minutes which I don't get anywhere else. Places get busy, if I didn't want to wait, I'd hit a drive through so their sincerity makes this location even more appealing. My go to is pasta Fresca and even when they took it off the menu for a short time, an employee at this location knew exactly what to enter so I could continue to enjoy my favorite dish. Next time I'm there, I need to thank the manager personally for her attention to detail. I always see her in the kitchen helping or in the dining room checking in on customers. read more
