We just got takeout here, thanks to the other reviewer, and from word of mouth from someone in our supper club. We couldn't have been happier! We've been long time Ichiban customers, but this place will be getting our business now, unless we want to sit down. I think what really sealed it for me was the broccoli in both of our dishes, which is very difficult (just ask Cooks Illustrated: http://www.cooksillustrated.com/recipes/article.asp?docid=23337), but it was perfect. Still slightly firm and that wonderful dark green when you steam it just right, but not mushy and gross. The rest of the meal (chicken and broccoli, bean curd szechuan style, moo shoo veggie, and some very good egg rolls) were all good, and it was $28 with free delivery. We also have enough for at least 1 more meal. If there were 2 things I would say would make it perfect: 1. Online menu somewhere 2. Brown rice as an option read more

We always get the sweet & sour chicken and the chicken with broccoli. The workers in there are very sweet and the food is always made quick! This Chinese food is by far the best I've had out of all the other Chinese takeout places in Williamsburg. read more

Decent food but not excellent. They deliver which is a plus. I liked the Gen Tsao chicken..but others did not care for their lo mein or diet chicken. The shrimp sweet and sour was good as was the sweet and sour chicken. Good sized portions for everything. Large would be more than enough for two people to share. read more

Would have been great to get the food...I called twice to put in an order for delivery. First time, they hung up before I could finish my order. I assumed it was a bad connection and called back. I asked again if they delivered to my hotel address which shows as 5 miles away on Yelp. They said I had to order first. Ok I asked for won ton soup and Szechuan chicken. I was told the minimum charge was $19 for delivery. I was at $15 so I ordered more soup which brought me to the minimum. Seems simple enough....until I was transferred to someone else, gave my address (again) and was told the minimum charge was $30. Yeah...if I could give zero stars I would. Was in town for a vacation and decided to order take out. Being from NH and very familiar with the pitfalls of restaurant kitchens, I was merely hoping to survive and not leave a trail for others to follow on the rollercoasters at Busch Gardens. I was very happy to see the cleanest Chinese kitchen which is open to the counter that I have seen in 20+ years. The food was actually quite good. Now, this is a blend of American Chinese food and some local taste; but the food was right on target and decently priced! In the north, folks like chicken "fingers"; which when ordered the cashier (the owners HS daughter) looked at me like I just ordered a pizza. Fortunately, some dude from Pittsburg was hanging out and was familiar with such offerings and skillfully suggested I order the sweet and sour chicken with the sauce on the side:brilliant! All in all: happy family A- esc: but the teriyaki sticks weren't good: they need more time in the broiler, not the fryer. read more

Great place to grab a quick bite if you're nearby. Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants in Williamsburg. The place looks nice and it's air conditioned, unlike many restaurants where they make you wait in the heat. I tried to place an order for delivery and the woman who answered could not understand what address I was trying to tell her and would constantly interrupt me when I tried to explain and would sigh and make annoyed sounds. I have not been impressed lately, every time I order the same thing and the price is different each time. Maybe because I'm substituting something but never the same price. Don't believe the hype! We're new residents in the area & chose this place based on the positive previous reviews. This was mediocre at best. Fatty chicken teriyaki, chewy steak teriyaki, bizarre steamed dumplings w/ wet meat lumps that left a lot to be desired, sloppy wet moo shu w/ tortillas instead of rice wrappers (this is a pet peeve of mine, and too many Chinese joints use them!), egg rolls that were cooked in oil that wasn't hot enough and therefore left a limp, greasy mess, and then your typical greasy sweet and sour chicken that my son ordered. I'm really, really, REALLY hoping this isn't the best the 'burg has to offer! read more

We have ordered takeout from this resturant about 5 times over the past year. The food was typically tasty most of the time....we are not very picky. We pretty much order the same thing (Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Wings, Lo Mein, and Pork Fried Rice. Last week the Chicken Teriyaki was totally tasteless. It was like someone dropped it and then washed it off. I called the resturant and was rudely asked "what you want?" She then said "come back by". I stopped by the next day after work and the lady said "you bring chicken" which would have been fine if she had said that over the phone...of course coming from work I didn't have the chicken on me. When I got home, I considered pulling the chicken out the garbage, but then decided that it wasn't worth the $10, and who knows, she may have planned to give me more tastless chicken...with an attitude. As another reviewer said, the woman up front is beyond rude, but she is ok if you are ordering or paying...she flips once you have an issue/complaint. In the future I will spend my $30 with an establishment that has a clue about customer service. read more

I would give this establishment a lower rating if I could. Visiting the area we ordered Chinese, and we're immediately met with problems. We told them we would pay with credit card, to find out on delivery that only cash was taken. Enter overpaying and not getting change. Then we discovered that we got the wrong order for one of our combos. To get the *right* order we had to ask for 20 minutes for the right order. To get it we had to trade what we already bit into. So FYI if you get food, someone else could have already eaten it. Do not order from China Wok if ever in Williamsburg. Nothing good can come of it. read more
