Placed an order when I got home it was half of what I ordered and I don't know what the other items were I called and the manager could care less. He could have offered to make it up but he didn't. I gave this place a glowing review last month. This past Friday night we ordered house fried rice and boneless ribs. Both were inedible. The rice was crunchy and tough like days old and reheated. I couldn't chew it! The ribs were the same. We live twenty minutes away and nobody felt like getting back in the car. It all went into the trash. I will say the wonton soup was delicious. I don't think we'll be ordering from there again. Too bad. It was really good for so long. One star now feels very generous. read more

I have Chinese food all over the world, but the worst crap comes out of this place called China Town in the food lion shopping plaze 2603 main st suite G, Conway, SC. You never see people inside eating. Its dimly lighted and the food is tasteless garbage. The use the dim sum thing noodle to make the wontons and the filling is this tasteless crap which I never tasted before. I had special house lo mein and the noodles had a weird taste. The fried rice that came with it was plain white rice with a splash of soy sauce and peas. No scrambled egg or anything else. The best thing was the egg roll which is half the normal size found in any good Chines food take out or restaurant. Save your money and stay away from this slop they call Chinese food. Restaurants in South Carolina know nothing about tasty Chinese food. For the most part I make a stir fry at home which is a million times better that China Town's garbage. I gave it one star because that was the lowest star on this board. So too rang true to my lunch orders Buying five Lunch Specials, I thought it wise to go with 'Anything Lo Mein'--noodles work on so many levels. Much like the Bounty and Charmin -- the chicken and shrimp were strewn amuck, platter to platter within the two pound oyster shelled stryophom containers. The chicken pieces resembled a cross between tiny manilla chunks of tofu and my third grade eraser collection in color and texture. Two lone shrimp found their way into my lunch pile of rice and noodles, and an odd glazed looking little critter he was. Five packs of hot mustard, two of the salty soy brought about a flavor palatable enough to swallow. As to decor-- the walls smacked of nothingness the paint color I would describe as Old Tennis Shoe. read more

Great take out place! Always prompt with my orders and the food quality has been consistent. This is our go-to take out spot. Other people have mention the lack of ambiance in the establishment. The staff is friendly and the food is good. You don't go to a take out place for the atmosphere. read more

I am from NYC and have frequently went to Chinatown. The takeout only name was the address was 69 Bayard Street. By far the best. Then on Long Island it was Mei Ting & Sun ming. The best in NYC & LI . Then 23 years in Phoenix. PLEASE!. Here I come to Conway sc and come to Chinatown. My compliments to the staff and I let the Chef know how excellent our meal was by far the best Chinese food I've had in 25 years. As good as NYC Chinatown. A hidden Gem, unfortunately not for long. Now I was asking the Chef about Duck. He said in NYC yes but so far in Conway no. I will pester him next week when I go. Suited for take out for dinner. It's decent Chinese being from the north it's hard to find good Chinese here and they got it. The general tso isn't over whelming the rice is good (not yellow) the portions are large and the staff is very nice. Good place to order out from haven't had any issues with them. read more

I previously reviewed this place and gave them 4 Stars. That was then. I decided to stray from my usual Cashew Chicken order and order Sesame Chicken. As regular customers, we decided to sample other menu items. The result was terrible. The chicken was cooked in General Tso sauce with a handful (or more) of sesame seeds literally thrown on the top. The result was inedible. I called to ask if I could bring it back and get another menu item. The person on the phone explained to me that I did not know what Chinese Sesame Chicken is. I explained that I eat it all the time at other places and that I am also a regular customer. The person on the phone never wavered from telling me how to make it. I just wanted to bring it back and get something else. They made no offer or apology or concession. Customer service does not get much worse. They just lost two regular customers. read more

I'll never go back!! After ordering and being charged for sweet and sour chicken, I realized after getting home that I didn't receive it. I got the sauce and rice but no chicken. I called to get the problem resolved and I was told I didn't order any which was false and could be seen by the total on my receipt. I was then told that I would have to pay for more chicken. Beware! Good take out. Best chicken in garlic sauce in the area. Their egg rolls are not greasy, they double drip them to prevent that. Food is prepared fast. Last time I went it seemed to be new owners and the food was not as good, but hoping they will improve with time. Good location too. read more

Recently moved from NJ and was looking for a 'go-to' Chinese Restaurant and decided to try Chinatown. My order of Chicken Mei Fun was bland, unseasoned, and visually unappealing. My wife's chicken and broccoli was just 'OK' but also lacking in seasoning. Pork fried rice...again, bland. Dumped quite a bit of soy sauce to even make a go at eating it. My wife and I looked at each other after giving it a try before dumping the rest. The reason I won't give 1 star is because the ingredients were fresh. Beyond that, my quest for a good Chinese restaurant in the area continues. read more
