It seems as though there has been a change in management/ownership because the menu looks a lot different than previous. This time the menu offers MORE Chinese options than it does Vietnamese. I loved my egg noodle soup with wontons, pork and shrimp (Mi Dac Biet), it was huge and I took half home for later. My husband was not as happy with his pho (Pho Dac Biet No. 1), he felt it was skimpy on the meat and the meat didn't taste fresh. My sons and I looked up places that had what we all wanted for dinner - dumplings, lo mein and pho. I went specifically for the pho. The dumplings were fine, we split the appetizer order of 8. Nothing fancy, but we enjoyed them. One son got shrimp and broccoli, the other got shrimp lo mein. Both boys gobbled their meals up like it was the best thing ever. My bowl of chicken pho was huge and they gave me a boatload of extra bean sprouts (I had asked for extra but they gave me a pile, which was great). The reason for the three stars is my chicken. It was white meat shredded chicken, my preference in pho, but it was very weird and rubbery. A bit squishy to chew on like it wasn't freshly cooked and shredded. It was definitely COOKED but didn't seem fresh. I ended up sifting through the soup to work around it. They had a lot of crab in it which had good flavor. I normally prefer more cream cheese, but these were a different style that I liked. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. The sauce was really good to dip in. We made the same mistake coming here twice. Like usual we wanted to eat something lighter than the seafood buffets Myrtle beach has to offer on our way back home. We wanted some pho and hence we stopped here twice. Upon entering the premise, my sons started to remember their last experience and wanted to leave - being who we are, I'd feel rude to leave and be impolite just like that. I convinced the kids that perhaps this time it would be different. Well, I was wrong. The older woman, probably the owner's wife, in her late 30s or early 40s, were not as friendly or patient with other customers since we are Asians. We wanted to take some time looking over the menu but she acted as if we should know it by heart. Not many choices for appetizers, kids were disappointed, we ordered pho special 15$ a plate and they were not much meat in it at all (6-7 slices of beef and 2 meatballs and tiny bits of scattered tripes). This place isn't authentic at all, not with the Vietnamese food or Chinese. From the attitude we were given, my spiderman sense was telling me, they are Chinese. (We're Chinese, not sure why the hostility). The younger waitress was actually more friendly after the older one left, and we still left her 18% tip. read more

This restaurant really served some delicious food. We started with fried shrimp, the goi con, and crab ragoons. The goi con was fresh. I had mine without the pork. The shrimp tasted fresh and the sauce was really good. When you walk through the door the aromatic smell of Asian food fills your nose and they deliver on that! I had a spicy curry dish. It was flavorful but not as spicy as I hoped. For a lunch price you definitely get a huge portion. I also ordered a noodle dish to go. Sriracha was missing from one order but included with the second. The noodles were soft and clumped - slightly watery tasting but not terrible. I must say what this restaurant reminds me of a local Vietnamese restaurant called Vietnam Kitchen. We used to let everyone use the bathroom but stopped because people started stealing the toilet paper and soap. They would break the flush handle on the toilet or mess with the faucet. We have also had people do drugs and flush them down the toilet to cause clogging as well as people having almost overdosed. We now have a policy that restrooms are for paying customers only. This has been a policy for years and we even have a sign on the front window saying "no public restrooms". When Christina came in and asked to use the bathroom we told her that it is not public and she got upset. She never asked to buy something. We would've let her use it if she did because we have done this before. She did not ask where to find another bathroom and she was the one that swore at us in Chinese. Christina wants us to change our practices so that we allow people to purchase something in order to use the restroom but this practice is already in place and has been in place for years. read more

I came in here the other day for dinner. I asked the waitress what was best. She suggested the General Tso chicken or a Lo Mein dish. I decided to get the non fried tapioca wrap rolls (Goi cuon) and the General Tso. The rolls were very large and fat. Oh nice I thought! However inside the extra size was just more air and there was the halved shrimp too. Usually places put in some strips of vegetable but not here. Most Vietnamese places wrap these really tight, but not here. The General Tso looked ok but wasnt that good. Rather oily and my guess it was just bottled sauce. Id rate the food 2 star, but will leave three stars as the young lady was attentive. I appreciated that after walking out of a nearby restaurant where they didnt even acknowledge my existence yet nobody was eating in there. If I was to go back Id get one of the lo mein dishes. If you know me, or have been reading my reviews, you know that pho is one of my favorite foods. It is blocks away from the SkyWheel and other fun activities near the beach so you don't have to go to far to find it. There is a good sized parking lot and the restaurant is fairly large compared to most pho restaurants I've dined in. We were seated right away and the waitress took our order. I ordered the seafood pho, my mom ordered the meat pho, little brother ordered the wonton soup, and step dad ordered a Chinese dinner platter. I found it to be interesting that they served Chinese food here, which I thought was a great idea. When I suggest pho as a place to grab a meal, I feel like I ALWAYS have at least one friend who either doesn't like it or doesn't want to try it (in this case my step dad) so having other options was a plus. The food came out in a decent time and tasted sooo good. I finished my meal completely. my little brother ( who happens to be the pickiest eater I know) LOVED his soup and the fried rice that he stole from my step dad. My mom and step dad also enjoyed their meals. All in all, I know for sure I will be returning. This place is clean, lots of space, nice atmosphere, good enough parking, and they make all the toppings available for your Pho. They also have toppings at each table, including Saracha, Hoisen sauce, and red pepper flake crisp. I was very impressed. They give you real chop sticks, not wooden ones, although either work fine. I see the real ones as a plus, especially for kids. They also give you forks incase. So you don't have to ask, both are already given to you. For the quality of the food, the prices are spot on.
