Best egg drop soup in Conway. Coconut chicken was fantastic. Ate about 3 fresh chicken teriyaki sticks. The sweet and sour sauce is very good, very ginger forward in a good way. This is a classic mom and pop Chinese restaurant. You can order off the menu or have their buffet along with a hibachi style/Mongolian BBQ style grill. You can also load up with a to go box. This isn't one of those fancy big buffets, but the food is good and tasty. You can get the grill tweaked how you like and spicy as you can stand. read more

Still trying to find a great Chinese food place. Decided to give this one a try. We ordered coconut shrimp, beef and broccoli, general Tso chicken, and beef lo Mein. Coconut shrimp was good. Portion sizes are great. Then everything else went downhill from there. The chicken and the beef were bland even in the sauce and the lo mein noodles had a flour after taste. This review is based solely on the dinner buffet and the service. I'm not sure about the menu items. I went in looking for a good Chinese buffet because I am a huge fan of Sesame Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken as well as Vegetable Lo Mein. This place was a disappointment from beginning to end. To begin, the buffet was poorly stocked. Basic rules dictate that once you have less than 25% in a buffet pan, it's time to swap it out . I counted a total of 11 pans that were nearly empty. The choices were also very limited. Also, I realize this is in Conway, SC but who puts collard green a Chinese buffet? The food I tried was not very good at all. There was no discernible difference in taste. It's almost like all of the dishes were cooked in the same pan without cleaning it in between. I arrived at a fairly early hour. It was 4:30PM and the Dinner Buffet begins at 4PM. I looked at then buffet before I sat down and decided that it didn't look promising but I thought it may get better because it was early. It never got better. I did go back to the buffet a second time to try the replenished dishes but they were exactly the same, only not as dried out. The Vegetable Lo Mein, the Teriyaki Chicken, the Sesame Chicken, the General Tso Chicken, the Wonton Soup, the Sweet & Sour Chicken and the Beef Lo Mein were all terrible. It was impossible to get your $8.95 worth at this buffet no matter how many times you went back. Also, the service is extremely slow and inattentive. I only had the buffet but it seemed like an impossible task to get my tea glass refilled. For me, the search for an awesome Chinese buffet in Conway continues. Omg, you can hardly call this place a buffet. Very limited items, dried out and not replaced quickly. Asked for a pot of hot tea and was charged a $1.59 each for every one in our party. My mother commented on that charge which was countered by the owner's response saying it was her restaurant. We paid the bill and left and we were actually followed out the door by the wait staff asking for his tip. I feel bad that he didn't get a tip, it's not his fault the place sucks. They do not offer a senior's discount. Even if they offered a 50% discount you wouldn't get your money's worth. Every dish had a thick bread coating. Horrible Customer Service!!! I've never been talked to so disrespectful by a employee "Owner's Wife" in my life. Went in at 3:44 which is still lunch 4:00 starts dinner. I was charge dinner prices which was ok but when I asked to speak to the owner so that they could explain why I was charged dinner prices and I was seated at lunch. She spoke to me with a attitude and went on to explain to me that the waitress had already told me why I was being charged dinner. The reason being I would be leaving after 4:00 pm which was the start of dinner WTF I've never in my life heard of anything like that. The food was terrible. It was cold except for the fried shrimp that was brought out as I was getting my plate and nothing tasted fresh. Very little of most things on the buffet. When I asked if I could switch to one buffet since my daughter had one bite each of three things that were cold and old tasting the woman started yelling about it not being cold and how they kept it to dhec standards. By the time we checked out a little later she did end up letting me have the kids price for her but still $4.99 was too much for 3 bites of food. She said that it was close to closing time so they don't put more food out. I told her she should give a discount price if they aren't going to put food on the buffet. I wouldn't go back if it was free. It all tasted nasty except for the fried shrimp and I was very polite when I asked about not paying for my daughter but she immediately became belligerent. Giving them one star is even too much! Worst place I've ever ate at. Me and my fiancé took a few bites and immediately realized we did not want to eat anymore. I tried not being difficult but told them I was not interested in the food and would pay for one of our buffet meals. The owner continued to rant about how they cook things and how she goes to American restaurants and pays 39.95 for food.. Not my problem. The owner still charged us for two buffets and even though we only took two bites my fiancé paid cause you couldn't deal with the owner. Horribly business! I will never be back there. read more

We love this place and have been here dozens of times. It is also one of the places our out-of-town guests always want to return to. Their buffet is always fresh with a wide variety of choices. Their fried chicken is as good, if not better than, KFC or Bojangles. Extremely reasonable price includes dessert. I assume the negative reviews are either competitors or just mean people. There is just no way anyone with any sense wouldn't love this place! We LOVE this place!!!!!! They have the biggest buffet I've ever seen; and, it's all really tasty, fresh items! They replenish it in small batches so it's always fresh.
