Fish

The food is always fresh and delicious! Even the mild is spicy so keep that in mind. The service is wonderful. The woman helped us figure out what to get. I got the fish with ginger sauce. The ambiance is very take-out Chinese place but it is Indian Chinese. If you're looking for a punch of flavor this is it!

Unfortunately, there was confusion when we called in an order from Chinese Dhaba. We asked for 2 house fried rices with extra vegetables. What we got (and sadly didn't realize till we got all the way home) was 2 half size portions of plain fried rice with vegetables added. The rice was the basmati rice typical to Indian food. I usually love basmati rice, but this dish left a lot to be desired. It didn't seem fresh and was a tad on the oily side.

I was sooooooooooo excited to find a Halal Chinese restaurant and Indian fusion just made it even more better. The menu is long online so I had some questions. I called the first time and the lady was busy so I told her is call back. Decided to pack my family in the car and drive the 30 minutes to support this business. We all decided what we wanted in general but again I had a couple of questions. I wanted to call in the order due to the pandemic so I called and a Man answered. I asked him about the different fried rice and then I was asking about the spice level of some chicken dishes due to me having children and he cut me off and said can I just call back when I know what I want because he was too busy for my questions. I was SHOCKED and extremely INSULTED. By the pictured I guess you all can see how busy they were. You need to treat your customers kind!!!!! I will NEVER support this business and I will let others know to follow suit. I work hard for my money, treat me with kindness.

Chicken 65

This place has been on my radar. Located in Decatur. In a Indian shopping plaza. I love this plaza. There is so much parking, just be careful entering from the main road. There is a lot of congestion on the main road. Inside the restaurant there is ample seating and restroom for customers. No complaints from the staff. Main reason for this review, the FOOD. It's a popular spot. I like the portion price and price points. I'm not a historian food, but I know spice. I like when I see that spice symbol next to my food the food is just that. So for that I love. The chicken wasn't hard and noodles are great. I think they are one of my hot choices for takeout/delivery.

Veggie fireball

This place used to be one of my go-to for Indo-Chinese food in Atlanta. Sadly the food has changed a lot. All the dishes were inedible. We ordered our usual Chicken Manchow Soup, Veggie fireballs, Chicken lollipop, and Triple Szechuan Fried Rice. The soup was watery and tasteless. Chicken in fried rice was stale. Veggie fireballs and chicken lollipops were decent. I don't think we'll be going back. Disappointed.

This is what they call chicken lollipop ‍

I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 14 years never had experience like this really bad service. I ordered chicken lollipops and they gave me some chicken wings fried in the lollipop batter and when I called them and told them about it the lady manager stated arguing with me and was trying to prove me wrong. Worst customer service and sadly

Veggie Fireballs

The vegetarian Szechuan Lo Mein noodles are like spicy red chili sauce Lo Mein. Not too greasy or salty, and super spicy. The portion in huge, probably a few pounds of noodles. Veggie Fireballs - delicious! It tastes like a falafel/samosa/corn fritter in texture and then it drenched in the red chili sauce you see in the pic. It's made of cabbage, corn, and a few other vegetables and then fried in the shape of a small patty, and laid on a bed of chopped cabbage. Spring rolls- very hearty and crisp. These are crispy fried like the Vietnamese spring roll, but it's stuffed with spinach and cabbage and thick veggies. Comes with a vinegar sauce and hot sauce. There are plenty of canned sodas and fresh fruit drinks. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant is clean and spacious. Overall very good lunch and portions can easily be paired.

Bullet chicken Egg Drop Soup

Honestly idk what happened, this place was really good but lately the meals have been a miss. Just ordered bullet chicken very spicy with egg drop soup and fried rice and the chicken has absolutely no flavor?? It's not even red. I cant tell if they're having a bad night or not but it's happened more than once so this place is a hit or miss most nights. When it hits it hits but my food is so sad tonight, the red chili sauce they gave me has more flavor than my whole meal and my egg drop soup is literally all cabbage and I'm about to just throw it all away. Very sad to see this place drop in quality. Hopefully if you order you get them on the right night because the food is amazing otherwise but I'm definitely going to stop ordering here now.

Bullet Chicken and Spicy Crispy Chili Shrimp
Tiff H.

Thanks to a recommendation from my trusted Pakistani bestie, I hit up Chinese Dhaba for some late night take out right before they closed. That was probably my first mistake right there. We arrived about an hour before closing on a Friday night and I was excited to show my friend what Bullet Chicken was about! We also decided to order this chili shrimp dish. It took a minute but we were on our way back home shortly. The Bullet Chicken and the chili shrimp dish were literally the exact same thing, which was something I was afraid of. The Bullet Chicken was good, but the chili shrimp was a bit much after eating the exact same taste in the chicken. I wish the lady at the register could have at least warned me that it was exactly the same, but she didn't seem to care aside from the fact that it was closing time and she was ready to leave, too. Overall, the Bullet Chicken was fine. I don't recommend ordering the chili shrimp at the same time as the Bullet chicken unless you have that pescatarian friend who wants to try the flavors without breaking the diet. I also don't recommend coming within an hour of closing time if you want to avoid lackluster customer service.

Today we ordered the diced beef, kung pao chicken, and orange chicken. The spicy beef had the perfect kick without being overwhelming, with tender slices of beef coated in a rich, bold sauce. The kung pao chicken was well-balanced with just the right mix of savory, slightly sweet, and nutty flavors. And the orange chicken? Crispy, saucy, and perfectly glazed -- not too sticky or overly sweet. One thing we always appreciate is the portion size. You can easily share or have leftovers for the next day (which somehow taste just as good). Whether dining in or grabbing takeout, HAI Indicator stays reliable, flavorful, and satisfying every time. I read all these reviews about "J" being a good server, and there is no exaggerating about her at all. She greeted me like she knew me when I walked in, and it just continued the whole meal. Lots of seating inside, and a great patio area outside. Comfortable seating for a party of two, and lots of room for larger groups and families. The menu was small but full of really amazing sounding flavors. I'd call it a mixture of Asian-fusion take on some traditional foods. My friend and I shared some Tuna Poke and KFC Bao Buns--yum!! I wanted a sake that wasn't too sweet and asked J for her recommendation. The very unique Matcha Sake was perfect!! Wish I didn't have y buy the bottle, but glad to take it home too. For entrees, my friend ordered the Bibimbap with Beef in the hot stone bowl (+$), and I tried the Garlic Noodles with shrimp (adding mushrooms and spinach for some veggies+$). Both were UH-mazing! The dishes weren't too big, but we still had enough to take home. We'll be back to try some of the other dishes. If you go, tell J ("like the letter") that she's Yelp famous.

My score would be lower if that was the case. I've tried this restaurant a few times for lunch, and I've enjoyed it each time. They're always accommodating for about groups of 8 without a reservation for the most part, and the staff has always been really kind and patient. I've tried some of the raw fish items here, and they've tasted surprisingly fresh although I've definitely had better elsewhere (still pretty good for the price!). Recently, I tried their Thai Style Spicy Basil dish for the first time. It definitely could've been spicier, but it's probably made on the milder side for those that may not be able to handle their spice because this dish is typically spicy (I've made it in Thailand myself). I wish that some of the hot dishes could have more spices/ingredients added to have more of the explosion of flavor I'm used to from Thai dishes, but it's still fairly tasty.

This restaurant is an absolutely legend and staple of the Emory-neighborhood. Whatever you do you MUST go at some point in your ATL career. Everything they do, they do well, and you can feel like you're participating in a little piece of local history by coming to this spot that's been here 40+ years and counting! OK, real talk: I don't usually think of dinners as bad investments but places worth trying out…read moreonce, but this one hurt so bad. Honestly, this might be the worst $80 of money I've spent in years. I regret not trusting the Yelp reviews.... I am now writing this so you don't have to make the same mistake. AMBIANCE We stopped by one evening craving American Chinese food after going to multiple solid spots across the coast...and the food menu and photos looked like most spots so we figured we'd give it a go... Parking was easy enough and when we came in, we were immediately seated in the green booths. It was clear that the place was going for a nicer, upsale Asian restaurant vibe with the booths and glass partitions (compared to the usual expectations for bare-bones takeout spots)...but the stick tables and booth furniture and lighting was a nope from me. FOOD The food looked decent and the "fast service" and good place for "cozy dates" on the website was fine, but gosh darn in this economy, the PRICE for VALUE and QUALITY at a spot like this is ridiculous. We started with the PuPu flaming platter as an appetizer for $30 and expected something more than what we got. It consisted of a few fried wontons with basically no filling, the least meaty chicken wings, and all the fried stuff was more batter or fatty unedible bits than protein. Plus, it was COLD. This platter for $30 is more show with the flames in the center than food. You could go to a fancy upscale dining establishment and have not only higher quality food but also better service AND ambiance. Then the snow white chicken at ~$18 and it was fine, kind of more dry than the usual but fine. The pork fried rice for $13.99 tasted odd to us with the mix-ins used. We also asked for an extra plate of Steamed Vegetables for $17, which and it took a good 20 minutes to show up. For how expensive it was, I kept waiting for at least one dish to redeem the meal... AND it never happened! SERVICE The service was fast for the most part. However, for the price here and the type of place, you'd expect someone to check on you. Seriously, we had to ask multiple times for extra drinks. It was hard to get anyone's attention when we needed something. It wasn't rude, just very "we don't really care...." I have NO photos on this because it was so awful. I would not return. Please spend your money elsewhere. Please don't make the same mistake we did.
