Take out review: Chicken 65 - spicy, crisp, very good. I could probably eat this as a snack food. Garlic chili noodles - sort of spicy, not oily, very good Crispy chili baby corn - sort of spicy, not crispy but that may be because of transport in a plastic tub, unusual and good. Tofu with veggies in hot garlic sauce - spicy, darker sauce than I expected, very good Manchow soup - like a more gelatinous and less tart hot & sour, merely OK. I think I prefer H&S soup. Nice friendly service. Food came out in 10-15 minutes. Other reviewers are right, this is kind of a take-out place but there were two seated groups when I was there, including one large one. So while the ambiance is a bit lacking you can eat in without feeling too weird about it. But I think I'll just stick with take out. I know my fellow countrymen are into the whole Indo-Sino fusion thing. I don't really understand it. But it makes my friends happy and it does me good to see that. There's an interesting variety of things on the menu. Some dishes border on being "traditionally" Indian. (Like the Chicken 65, or the Bullet Chicken.) Most dishes blend in some kind of Chinese influence. (Like the Veggie Manchurian mix. Or the chili garlic hakka noodles.) The prices are pretty fair. This little hole-in-the-wall doesn't look like much, but you're sure to find something here that pleases your palate. The folks behind the counter are friendly, and will make good recommendations, but if you don't like your food too spicy, make sure you use the word "bland" when ordering your food. "Mild" is still likely to have a big impact on you. read more

The way waitress treated us was not acceptable When we walked into the restaurant around 8:50 PM, We were told that Food will be out at 9:20 at the most and we had 10 minutes to eat the food due to closing and they don't get paid for any extra time post 9:30. We were okay with that as long as we get our food by 9:20pm. Cashier stated yes that is no problem, we placed the order after that ( ~ $60) It was cold outside, so we decided to stay in the restaurant, it was blocked by both end ( Owner should look at the video to see how they are compliance with OSHA regulation with safety. guest were eating with entrance blocked. At about 9:15 seated guest were asked to leave even though they have not finished their meal, things got little ugly really quick. we decided that we will make it to go and not eat in restaurant. we got our food at 9:40pm and were asked to leave immediately by the staff yelling (again owner should see the video). there were two other guest still waiting on their food who had placed their order after us. we were just trying to get all the utensils and napkins so we can eat in car. food was okay but we would never return to this place again nor we would recommend this to any one. after the incidence of yelling we requested to speak with owner they said they are not allowed to share that information as per Owner. We walked in at 8:45 and were guaranteed our food would be out before 9:15 that way we could eat and leave before the restaurant closed. We waited and waited only to receive food at 9:30, as we were trying to sort out our food and put it into Togo boxes we were yelled at and rudely asked to leave. The food was ok but the service was awful. From the moment we entered we were treated poorly by the workers. Had come on an empty stomach: the food was decent enough for me to finish, but I write this as I'm battling some serious...digestive regret, if you know what I mean. I ordered a hot and sour soup, and the popular chili garlic hakka noodles with shrimp. The total was $12. ****TINY SHRIMP ALERT***** Looking on the picture board, the dishes with shrimp showed large shrimp. When my dish came out, I was SO disappointed to see tiny shrimp populating the plate. I spent 5 minutes picking every bit out. The other major disappointment was the hot and sour soup. It had an...odor. Like old dish water smell or something. It was just bad enough that after taking a few sips I gave up and tried to cleanse my palate with the chili noodles. Sure, it was spicy, but it was a very one-note spicyness, it's like I could've made it myself by dousing my noodles with chili paste. And afterwards, I couldn't even bring myself to finish the soup--which means it was really bad, considering I am a soup person, HATE wasting food, and would normally finish any soup if it was even mediocre. I'm normally nonchalant about service--if the food is good enough. In this case, there were 2 young ladies staffing the restaurant in the front, and only 1-2 other patrons dining in. At NO point did either of the ladies come over to ask how the meal was going. When you see someone picking food out of their plate, looking slightly disgusted, and not EATING...it's a sign you might actually need to come over and ask, "how is everything?" Only at the very end, one of them asked me if I want a to-go box for my soup, and discarded shrimp. Since she finally asked, I told her I was kind of disappointed with the meal, especially to get baby shrimp when it was advertised as large shrimp. She not only didn't offer any apology for the mixup, but said basically "next time" I should order something else. With that, I'm capping off this review with another trip to the bathroom. read more

The decor is nice but the quality of the ingredients is inversely as good to how carefully they decorated the place. We had the gobi manchurian (cauliflower) which I thought was tasty, and the tofu with vegetables in Szechuan sauce + chicken in manchurian sauce. The rice was abundant and fine. But It seems to me like the entrees were very similarly made with cheap oil (msg?) and over spiced to compensate. I regularly eat spicy food including Indian and Taiwanese food so it's definitely not because I can't handle spices. It's just cheaply made. It did not sit well in my stomach, if you know what I mean. Please improve the quality of your ingredients, that may be a reason why the other restaurants are popping and this place was empty. TLDR: Eat here if you can stomach cheap ingredients + spice overload. read more

Cheap option for Chinese/Indian/fusion dishes. There are massive amounts to each dish. Be prepared to be stuffed. It reminds me of Americanized Chinese food (beware of food coma or guilt for eating greasy food). Chicken 65 has a good flavor but is dry. Another chicken fish was less dry but it is greasy. Fries have an interesting sauce but potatoes themselves we a bit bland. Service seemed slow. Ok to try but not worth the guilt of eating greasy unhealthy (not fresh??) food. read more

I was extremely disappointed with my experience here. The lady working at the front desk was disrespectful. She messed up our order and when we asked for a replacement, she began showing attitude and demanded we pay more for another order. When we asked politely for a refund, she refused saying that "the food was already cooked." Even during our meal, when we simply asked for 2 more plates, she began arguing saying that she already gave us plates. When we held our ground and demanded for a refund, she consistently refused. After lots of arguments, she only agreed to replace 1 of the 6 dishes we ordered and took forever in making it (we waited 30 minutes) and when serving it, she threw the plate on the table with attitude and some of the rice spilled over onto the ground. We payed the money and didn't even get the food we asked for. Extremely disappointed. Will never come back again. Do not recommend. Very bad customer service. read more

I ordered through Uber Eats because I had a coupon and I had been meaning to try for months. My coworker always orders from Chinese Dhaba and it always smells so delicious so I was very eager to try it. For anyone unfamiliar, Chinese Dhaba is actually a type of Indian restaurant called Indo-Chinese because it's the Chinese food that is prepared Indian-style. They do have some typical "chinese" food dishes that you'd find in another American Chinese establishment, but that's not the main attraction. I ordered Chicken 65, Egg Drop Soup, Chicken Spring Samosas, Chilli Paneer, and a mango lassi. First things first, the mango lassi was absolutely delicious and I pretty much licked the cup clean. I wish the rest of the country appreciated mango lassi the way that I do. The chicken spring samosas were just okay, they seemed to be missing something in my opinion. The Chicken 65 was great, yummy little nuggets of spicy fried chicken. The chilli paneer was also just okay. The sauce tasted more like a Manchurian sauce IMO. It wasn't very spicy, my Chicken 65 was spicier than my paneer. It was still tasty though. The only thing that I categorically did not like was the egg drop soup. It was very thick and totally flavorless. I tried adding my wonton chips to it and it didn't help much. Overall a nice experience and I will certainly order again in the future as I am a big fan of indo-Chinese cuisine! read more

The food comes out on Styrofoam plates. They use plastic spoons/forks. Styrofoam cups as well.. In the long run, this restaurant will create a lot of waste. As for the food, my friend and I felt nauseous after eating here. We don't know why...perhaps they had some ingredients that were not fresh. We ordered Spicy Garlic Noodles with Lamb: Extremely Oily, and lots of MSG. Bullet Chicken: Not that good. Don't know why yelpers are recommending it. The chicken pieces are small, and it wasn't spicy. Spicy Fish dish - Forgot the name, but it's their only fish dish. This was our favorite dish. It was kind of like an Indo-Chinese version of Filet-o-Fish from Mcdonald's, except without the bun, and with lots of onions and chopped veggies topped with hot oil and spices. Overall, it took forever to order though it wasn't busy. The place looked cheap and they are definitely cheap with disposable plates/plasticware. Also, it was fairly expensive ($9-10 per plate if you eat meat). Rice does come with meat dishes, however...but I can't give this place more than 2 stars because of the nausea. read more

Chinese Dhaba is a Indian/asian fusion spot. They do your chow mein with a chicken 65 on the side. They have a friend shrimp with chutney like sauce. All the usual Chinese food suspects are there. However my favorite item their is the Lollipop chicken and Chow Mein. The lollipop chicken is a tandoori style drumstick sliced and deep fried. Its best eaten with company because the portions are large. Their Chow Mein has that residual desi taste and Asian zing. its unique and reminds me a little bit of West Indian Chow mein. This is a good place for a casual meal or to go. Their food is all Halaal and their prices are fair because they give you a ton of food. read more

Great the 1st time 3 years ago, great even now. The menu hasn't changed much, but most of the dishes are classic one never gets bored eating. The restaurant is still very clean with a nice ambiance. Unlike most other Indian-Chinese restaurants I've been to in atlanta. The service is nice, friendly and very efficient. We ordered the chicken chili noodles. They were done well; not overly spicy that all you taste are just chilies. With the right amount of vegetables to balance out the meat. The noodles were cooked exactly how they should be, not over cooked to make them gooey or undercooked to give a raw bite. The Chicken manchurian was pretty good as well. A tad bit too starchy but overall very flavorful. Next time will be eating there, as their decor is very inviting and a nice place to enjoy with family and/or friends. I would definitely like for them to experiment with a few more entrees but for now it's my go to Indian Chinese restaurant in atlanta. read more

Spoke to the server and placed our order and he informed us that we close at 9:30. He said the food will take 20 mins to prepare/cook. So we had plenty of time to eat and leave. We didn't get our food till 9:25. So we were getting our food prepared, so we can sit and eat in our car. The black lady that works there, told us to leave at 9:30, since she doesn't get paid past 9:30. They were taking walking in orders for take outs in the mean time. They are rude as hell. We ordered Chicken 65 and Hakka noodles based on other yelp suggestions but were underwhelmed by both - could taste a little of the Indian influence of the chicken (it was basically General Tso's, but spiced differently) but the noodles were just standard stirfry noodles. I tried my friend's paneer which, although smothered by cilantro, was pretty tasty. Another friend got the hot and sour soup and despite liking spicy food, could only stomach half of it due to how spicy it was. Very low key and casual spot but I think you have to have a certain palate for the food. I did enjoy the Indian ice cream (kulfi)which was like a push up pop for my post-meal dessert - something different and helped to cool you down after all that spice. read more

I absolutely had to write a review about this place. First of all if you've ever read my reviews you'd know without doubt that I love Asian cuisine. Also I do enjoy Indian food depending on what it is. But when we took a ride to the Dekalb farmers market we decided to stop for a bite sense we had not eaten. When I saw this place with the Indian seasoned Chinese food I started laughing because it kind of sounded crazy. Almost not believing it we went in, out of curiosity and ordered, and surprisingly the food was very good. The bullett chicken is serious business. Them spices can make a drunk man walk straight!!! Indian Chinese is always such a treat because it's not easy to find a place that gets the flavor just right. We popped in on the afternoon of December 24th and were pleasantly surprised to see them open. There was only a bit of a wait, 5 minutes tops. Once we ordered the food came out fairly quickly. It was sinfully delicious and just the right amount of spice where we enjoyed it but did not cry from the fire in our mouths or bellies. We had chili chicken, chicken bullet and the chicken corn soup as appetizers. For main dishes we vegetable coin manchurian and bhel. The portions are very large so don't be greedy and share with the rest of your group. With happy bellies we nearly rolled away from the table and took leftovers home for lunch for the next day. Chinese Dhaba in Global mall is OK for Indian Chinese. We ordered Chicken 65, Triple Fried Schezwan Rice, Sweet corn soup and Noodles. Chicken 65 was just fried chicken. It was dry & they did NOT add any spice to it. I would suggest not to order it. Triple Fried rice was good. Sweet corn soup had no salt in it. Noodles was OK too. Quantity was good (actually large portion). Other items on menu - pictures did NOT do justice, so we were scared to order it. So overall, I would say give it a try once. read more

Chinese Dhaba is a great go to place for some truly interesting Chinese/Indian fusion takeout food. Ive always ordered at least one thing with the Manchurian sauce since I really like it. The Fish in any sauce is a cant miss dish along with the kabob balls which are likely going to be a lot more spicy then you are anticipating. Chicken was a bit overcooked but I think that's just cause it was sitting in the sauce within the container they pack it in. I'll be back, price is right and the food is great. read more

Checked this out last night for take out with a friend. Sounded interesting. I got the hot garlic chicken and he got the Szechuan lamb, I believe. I'm a huge Chinese food fan and was wondering what their Indian take on it would be like... but honestly, it didn't find it to be remarkably different. It was good though. Although the two dishes we got tasted pretty similar. Also, the way some reviewers were going on about the spiciness I expected it to be really intense. Was it actually spicy? Yes. But that's what it says on the menu. And unless I'm at an American food restaurant, I expect food to be spicy when it says so. If you're used to spicy food at all, it's just... normal spicy. Nothing to write home about. But I like spicy food, so it was good. Overall, reasonably priced, good amount of food, relatively quick service. I'd go again. read more
