Food is okay, but not Thai enough: I ate Thai food in Thailand so I know how the food supposed to be. The service is okay too. The ambience is okay. I don't know how to say it, it is upscale restaurant or not because they had table cloths. But the tip is remarkably amazing. They put the tip with your bills. Minimum 25%. Well, I always give tip anywhere. And even they put it on my bills, always make sense, like 18% . I mean, come on. If they put 20% there, I will not complain. But 25% for what kind of service? I am a sucker for authentic Asians and Thai food and my girlfriend took me here last weekend and we got to sample a lot of dishes starting out with the curry puffs and coconut soup was an amazing start and full of flavor after that I had gotten the lamb chops with pad Thai and she got another curry soup and the Chilean sea bass. The lab chops were cooked to perfection with the meat just melting in your mouth and the pad Thai paired nicely on the side giving me that flavor I have been missing since I was a kid. The Chilean sea bass was cooked perfectly and my girlfriend who doesn't usually eat fish devoured it. The curry was amazing as well with the perfect sweet to spice ratio I high recommend paying this place a visit. read more

In my attempt to get back to life before 2020, I decided to eat out by myself for lunch. I like trying new places and word around the office was this place was nice, if not a bit expensive. It was just me, so I decided to splurge. Now, they do not have a lunch menu. So regardless of when you come, you'll get the dinner menu. It doesn't state it on the menu, but I guess every entree comes with a spring roll, a lettuce only salad, and a fried wonton. You can get the appetizers from any grocery store freezer section. In fact, I would not be surprised if they did. This was the blandest Pad Thai I ever had. It wasn't salty, it wasn't spicy, it wasn't savory, it wasn't even tasty. It was BLAND. Even the bean sprouts on top looked they were pulled from a container and placed on as a garnish afterwards. It was just .... bad. And calories are too hard to burn to use them on bad food. read more

The food we got was tasty. However, their prices are very high for lunch in my opinion. I would return if they had a lunch menu. Also, the portion we received was not a dinner size portion but the price paid was definitely a dinner price. And the amount of rice they give you with your dish is pretty laughable. Asian Reviewer here. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and the Spicy Basil w pork for takeout. I was dissapointed. The Pad Thai comes in a huge portion but is bland(as other Yelpers have indicated) which could still be ok for a quick fix, but the sauce that they use is most likely premade/store bought and those are never good (just try one at any local Asian Market). I would highly suggest they cut the portion size down and use the savings to make fresh tamarind sauce. The Spicy basil pork had an ok flavor but was swimming in it's sauce. It would have tasted good if they reduced the sauce down to a more syrupy consistency that goes much better when eating w rice. I hate giving bad reviews on here, but hopefully this helps them. This area seems like they need some good Asian food. read more

This is a hidden gem and a top notch restaurant. I have been here more than 6 to 8 times and never been disappointed. Don't let the strip mall location fool you as it's just around the corner from Krogers. The food is excellent, the decor is really nice. My waitress was so nice she always came back to check if I needed anything. The background music goes great with the setting. Bangkok fried rice is usually a best bet. They do use fresh tofu and most ingredients are of better quality than an average Thai place. The portion of the meal is also sufficient. It is an upscale Thai place. The free appetizer was a nice treat. I ordered the Panang Curry with Chicken and Shrimp, it was amazing. Every bit of it was gone and washed it down with a Thai beer. Price is a little on the higher side for a Thai restaurant, but it's well worth it. Every entree includes an appetizer (spring roll) and a small salad, so the price balances out. Came here to grab a bite before the New Years celebration. Had to wait for a hostess for a good ten long minutes. Lol. Aside from that, the service was really good. We had the tall American gentleman and he was on point. The food was really good as well. I had the pad Thai just to see if they would do well with a simple dish. The shrimp was pretty fresh so I was surprised. It didn't taste frozen at all. It could have been more flavorful but at the same time I'm not complaining because those extra "flavors" come from neuro toxic chemicals that are not good. Unfortunately very disappointing. The GPS address is wrong and they know it but haven't changed it. After 15 minutes of searching, I found it by looking at San online photo. I had One order of spring rolls (burnt), one order of basil rolls (ripped and only 1 basil leaf/ 1 chopped shrimp/shredded lettuce). Also ordered Tofu Pad Thai w/ extra sauce. Their pad Thai was extremely dry and unconventional. This is not your usual pad Thai, even though the description was usual. I have shared a photo. So disappointing. Holy crap, this place is NICE! Stopped in for a quick bite and I was transported across the world to a little thai restaurant with attentive service and amazing food. The spice level, servings and menu were excellent and on point. Personally, I judge a thai place by it's spicy basil chicken dish and pad thai. I ordered a beef pad Thai for pickup and ended up with chicken instead. It was no big deal but I don't know how one order can be messed up. But what was worse was that, had the flavors been good, the mistake would've been overlooked. However, this pad Thai just wasn't that good. The flavors were so bland, as if it didn't have any salt or tamarind. There is plenty of good pad Thai around Atlanta but this place is just not one of them. I try a lot of Thai places and most of them have similar tastes but I got the Pad see ew and I almost could not eat it. It did not taste like Pad see ew at all. The meat was mealy feeling and the flavor just was not good. I could not finish the dish. I took food to go and they were quick and ready , the restaurant itself looked clean and nice, but I just could not eat the dish. And it was so much more expensive than other places I go. My friend loves the hot tea here. It is made with Jasmine, and I am apparently allergic to it. But the Thai iced tea looks really good. We'd all met up for a quick lunch and to do a little taste-comparison of each other's favorite Thai restaurants. The food here was good, but it didn't unseat my favorite. My Pad Thai was too sweet. But the Masaman curry looks very good. And the presentation (even during lunch) was spot-on. Northlake Thai Cuisine gets an extra star for very friendly and attentive service. I really wanted to like this place. Really, I did. I have been craving Thai for the last few days and today on my lunch break I decided to try this place. Tris gave a great recommendation and the landmark directions (behind the Kroger) were very helpful. I unfortunately did not have the same experience. First, the restaurant has an odor that resembles cat urine (I'm not trying to imply anything). Second, the food had a generic taste to it... almost like take-out Chinese. I ordered the coconut soup and spicy basil chicken. The coconut soup was served over a tea light, which was kinda festive. The basil chicken didn't have much flavor to it and it was served in a very heavy brown sauce. That's not exactly how I usually enjoy basil chicken, but I digress. This people here is rude and food is disgusting. my rating is zero stars. I brought a seafood platter and soup . Went back to a event around the way to start eating my food and found a finger nail or toe nail in my rice. I was so disgusted I couldn't eat anymore of my food or anything of that matter. They refused to refund me, make another plate or discount me of the order i placed literally a hour ago. i was told they cannot do anything unless it was hair found in the food because they wear gloves and no manager was on the primises. I literally had to call enforcement to file a complaint. Awful. Absolutely terrible. The chicken satee was undercooked. The beef masaman curry was mostly tofu. All of the food was beige and nearly inedible because it was so bland. I couldn't finish my food and neither could anyone else. I hate to waste food, but I threw it in the garbage. Add to that how expensive it was compared to our favorite Thai resturaunt(which was closed), and it was easily the worst take-out I have ever had. The only thing they didn't screw up was the rice.
