I remember years ago there were more Zorn's locations on LI, including one in East Meadow. Sad…read morethat the Bethpage one is the only one I know of now. I don't come to Zorns too often but I got a family meal with some friends last year and the food was pretty solid. I came back recently as I saw there was a 'Best of Long Island' (BOLI) special that the website was advertising for $15 that seemed like a solid deal. The place itself was pretty clean and organized inside, with lots of stuff packaged to go. I took my meal to go as well. I got the 'BOLI' special ($15) that came with 1/4 chicken (I chose white meat vs dark), 2 ribs, and 2 sides. I got potato salad and penne a la vodka as my sides. There was a minor hiccup when I went to check out as the cashier lady wasn't aware of the special and thought the price was wrong, but she got confirmation that the special was legit and it was fine. The meal came out to $16.28 with tax included. I got home and was impressed by the food. The potato salad tasted like it was very freshly prepared and was very solid. Potatoes had a nice firm texture and the potato salad tasted very crisp. I was worried that the pasta would be soggy, but it was not and the penne a la vodka was also excellent. The 2 ribs that I got were both huge and had a lot of meat of them. The ribs tasted like the bbq sauce was put on after they were cooked, which I'm not the biggest fan of. The bbq sauce was also a little too sweet for my tastes. But I still very much enjoyed the ribs and loved how big and meaty they were. The fried chicken was also very solid. White meat was not dry and the fried flavoring of the chicken was very on point. And the meal overall was pretty huge; more than enough food for one person. For context, I think Zorn's food sits solidly on top of the better fast food chains, like Popeyes. So I enjoyed my meal overall and was very full. I think the only thing I'd critique would be the standard pricing, which seems a bit high in my opinion. To be fair, I saw a few lunch specials advertised on Zorn's website as well, such as a fish sandwich meal for $9 + tax, which seems good. I checked out some of the to go items, and some items such as mac salad and potato salad in fairly small containers were around $9, which seemed high to me. They also had some full meal deals for about $20, which seemed like a better deal. Cheers and looking forward to my next trip here in the future.

Out of the park! I recently hired Hawaiian Kitchen to cater…read moreour monthly lunch for 40 people at Wallace Eannace. My executives wanted to do a Hawaiian theme. Hawaiian Kitchen, based in Bethpage, absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the start, they were incredibly easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I had originally requested 2-liter bottles of soda, but since they didn't have them in stock, they proactively delivered individual cans instead to ensure our team had plenty of drinks. Now, for the food--it was phenomenal. Our office hasn't stopped raving about it! The Coconut Shrimp and Grilled Shrimp were huge hits, and the Angus Steak was incredibly tender. Even the Chicken Fried Rice was a standout, and all of their signature sauces were delicious. They also did a large house salad for us with the most incredible Ginger dressing. I had numerous people ask me where I found them, and I couldn't wait to order for their next small house parties or to pick up dinner on the way home. It was all so fresh and not greasy. We also ordered spring rolls that were so light and crispy, pineapple fried rice that was really delicious, and marinated chicken and steamed broccoli. If you're looking for reliable catering that people will actually get excited about, I can't recommend Hawaiian Kitchen enough. THANK YOU for making me look like a superstar! We will definitely be ordering again! PS - they are a small, family-owned business, and I love supporting businesses like that that really care. Give them a try!

I was looking for bar pies since Eddie's in NHP is cash only and am so glad to have stumbled on…read moreRiko's on UberEats. Obviously, the price is a bit higher off the app, but I was very satisfied with the taste and quantity of the bar pies and wings. To start, the clam pie had good chunks of clam. The garlic and bacon was of abundance and the flavor was pretty spot on. I would have liked a little more parsley just to off set the richness. The hot honey and Hawaiian pie was beautifully done, with a crispy under carriage and cheese that melted from edge to edge. It may because it's delivery, but I could have used slightly more sauce, which is on the sweeter side (just as I prefer). I had the wings tossed in Riko's sauce, which didn't have a description on the app. It's nice and tangy with a touch of sweetness and smoke - it went really nice with the meatiness of the charred wings. All in all, I would certainly order from them again and perhaps make the drive to try it all fresh. So yum!

Its not a 4, its not even a 3.75, its somewhere around a 3.85...call me whatever you want! :) I loved the thin, always crispy pizza. The salads were great also and the wings while different were good, not great, but i'd order again. Went here four or five times before i reviewed so i had a good field of experience and the atmosphere is definitely cool, good scene for a younger crowd late but for family or after a ball game, etc., also a good spot. I wouldn't make it a family meal night, but its a fun, lively, bubbling place with great pizza (especially when you eat in house) and good food and service overall!
