My family had ordered here for around 35 years I think it's time to write my review. My kids always ordered the combo boneless pork ribs and fried pork rice. They left me the egg rolls. Do it's fair to say i have had my share of egg rolls. There became a point in time where there were less vegetables and pork in the fried rice, which was disappointing. I enjoy their happy family, general chow's chicken, shrimp with lobster sause, dumplings and spare ribs. Lately we have thoroughly enjoyed their soups. Especially the sum gum wanton. I got my semi-usual, a combination of appetizers: barbecue spare ribs, fried wontons and cold sesame noodles. The ribs were nice and tasty, well cooked. But the fried wontons were pretty soggy; it's always important to fry them well and let them blot before bagging them up. And the sesame noodles were pretty bland. Was really hungry and decided to try a new Chinese restaurant. I read a few Yelp reviews but decided to try the place anyway. I live in Flushing and my wife is Chinese, so I think I'm a pretty good judge of what Chinese food should be. I was excited to see on the online Yelp menu that one of the available appetizers was the COLD Sesame noodles, you don't always find it this dish. I also saw that the orange-flavored beef was one of the Specialties here. When prepared correctly, this is an exciting spicy dish crispy with little pieces of orange rind. China House is geared mainly toward to go orders there are a few tables set up inside the small little place, but take out is basically the rule here My food was ready relatively quickly in a little over 10 minutes I was also really happy to see that this place offers a lot of little sauces not in the packages but fresh in little containers in the refrigerator. I got some black dumpling sauce and HOT sauce mustard and duck sauce. These are called House sauces. And you may request them specifically. My destination to enjoy my take-out dinner tonight was only 5 minutes away.. I opened the containers with eagerness in anticipation of experiencing the flavors of this new place. What a HUGE disappointment, I couldn't believe how badly prepared my food was. The cold noodles were not cold at all and instead luke warm, the sesame sauce was thin and watery lacked flavor and had no depth. Oh well unto the orange beef I was so surprised when I opened my dinner container it looked like sweet and sour chicken with a thin watery orange sauce it didn't look like beef at all. Evidently these were pre-made, sort of beef nuggets, thickly coated with a mushy doughy coating, the beef inside was a white color? The Mushy nuggets were drowned in a watery simple sweet and sour sauce, it lacked any flavor depth or complexity and was really rather disgusting. I find the best part of my meal, was the small handful of crispy noodles that the girl charged​ me $0.50 for. I spent over $18 on food that I couldn't eat and had to throw away. The folks were NOT smiling or friendly at all, and I really tried. I Do NOT RECOMMEND.. this Chinese restaurant and probably will not return here. Been ordering delivery from here for years and never disappointed. Food is always great, hot and quickly arrives. Staff is always friendly. Some favorites are beef and broccoli, chicken and broccoli, salt and pepper shrimp the best I have ever had including upscale restaurants. Portions are also generous. Everything I've tried here is great. I usually order shrimp. For boneless spare ribs I choose King Shing instead but if I am ordering anything else this is my go to spot. The lunch special prices are fantastic. The staff is really nice and they don't make a big deal when you ask for extra sauce packs like some other stingy places I know. Nothing beats a good local Chinese food takeout restaurant. All of the food is always very good, especially the chicken with broccoli. The staff is very friendly and they are speedy and efficient. This place is very accommodating to requests and substitutions in your meal, and they definitely aim to please their costumers. This is the worst Chinese food I have ever tried or had . I spend 30$ for nothing . The jumbo shrimp is. Fraud its all made of dough the scallops were under cooked. Terrible business practices here. I have been a loyal,local repeat customer for years but recently felt dejected when they refused one of their own coupons for 2 free cans of soda. I was told it was because I ordered online rather than by phone. This should not matter, since I paid in cash. More importantly, neither the coupon or the menu noted any such restrictions.It simply stated the minimum amount required to get the free sodas.They will now lose a valued customer that used to spend a sizable amount of money feeding my family here for the price of 2 cans of soda..Bad business !! read more

This is the best Chinese food takeout place ever. Their food are very fresh and mostly all freshly made. The workers are all very friendly and the food is made at a acceptable speed. I ordered chicken broccoli with white rice and it was AMAZING. The broccoli wasn't mushy and it was fresh and crunchy . The chicken dissolved in my mouth as soon as in went in. The sauce was very juicy and it was the right amount for the food. My friends ordered sesame chicken, lomein, and chicken wings. They all agreed with me that it was the best Chinese food takeout. The chicken wings were well fried and all the hairs were plucked out clean and fresh. The sesame chicken were also well fried and very crunchy and cooked with the sauce. The sauce wasn't too much or too little it was the right amount. They also said the lomein was VERY DELICIOUS. It wasn't soggy or mushy like what all the comments/reviews said . This Chinese food takeout serves the food at the right pace, it's also not very expensive. You can also get free sodas, eggrolls, or food if you pass a certain price limit. It was my first time today, 9.27.16. I have been eating Chinese food for many years. This is probably the worst I have ever eaten. The boneless spareribs were fatty and chewy, basically inedible. I asked for a refund or exchange but the owners REFUSED!!!! The eggroll was tiny and had no flavor. OVERALL THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING. However; they delivered egg drop instead of wonton. The food was disgusting. It lacked flavor and was extremely greasy. Ever get to the point where you are Soooo hungry that almost anything would taste good? Well even being starving this food tasted gross. Even the brown rice had a weird flavor.
