It turns out that she got injured, and ended up starting her own business. If you subtract Sabrina and my experiences with her, my experiences with the salon were meh at best. The front desk staff was never really friendly (I got the impression I was bothering them?). It was incredibly frustrating that they didn't take credit cards, and that this wasn't very clear on their website. I went here for Sabrina Tucker. Without her, there wasn't a lot of redeeming aspects of the salon. While waiting for an appointment, I was asked to move so they could take a photo of a different client's hair. It felt weird, and like they should have a designated spot for photos that would require asking waiting clients to move. It honestly made me feel less valuable than the person be photographed (I was asked to move across the room). Also, the more I think about it, the more upset I am that when my partner came in for a men's haircut from Kevin, he left INJURED. That's not OK. I mentioned it to the front desk staff when at my appointment after the last update, and I didn't even get an apology. Not OK. Not OK at all. She cleaned thoroughly under the nails for both the manicure and pedicure. I really like the filing here, it is not so abrasive and does not thin the nails. The quality and integrity of this manicure is the best you will find in the Northwest Suburbs guaranteed. I have been to almost every salon out here so I would know. I am seriously so glad to have found a salon that does not rush you, make weird and snarky comments, or overcharge. The gel manicure and classic pedicure took approximately 1 hr 20 min. - so very good on time as well. I went on a weekday (Wed) at 2:15 pm which was a perfect time- not overly busy. I recommend visiting at a similar time. I like that I had the same nail tech for each service, and was not passed around to different ones, because a lot of salons do that and it is quite annoying in my opinion Haha. Booking/Website - I love that this establishment is modern and actually has a proper website to book an appointment. That made it easy for me , and I did have to change my appointment twice, so I could easily do that on my phone in advance. I recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to pick your colors. I have paid near twice that amount at some salons who don't have half as much professionalism and precision as J'adore Nails. I made an appointment a week in advance for 2pm on a weekday. On the day of my appointment, Ashra called me at 1:20pm asking quite rudely if I was coming in. I said yes, I would be there at 2. She said, "It's 2:15!" I said, "No it's not, you must have forgotten to change your clock over the weekend". She didn't really apologize, just said they couldn't change their clock because it was up too high (you can't look at your phone or your watch?) and I could come in any time I liked. I arrived 5 minutes early. There were no customers in the shop. Ashra didn't offer to take my coat or offer me anything to drink, just hustled me into the tiny, cramped room in the back that looks like a storage closet.
