Terrible experience. BE AWARE. I went in for a massage and removed my jewelry beforehand, accidentally leaving it on the side table. I realized it after leaving and called the business. Instead of offering to check the room or ask the staff if anyone had found it, the owner quickly told me they were not responsible for personal belongings left behind. My jewelry was never recovered, and the complete lack of concern or willingness to investigate was incredibly disappointing. The massage was painful, not relaxing. The therapist kept pressing her elbows, even though I told her twice that it hurts. She spoke very basic English, so maybe it wasn't her fault that she didn't understand. My back hurts more today than before the massage. The appointment was scheduled promptly, but when I appeared there, the manager/owner looked so surprised like something in my appearance stroked her. I'm not sure what exactly. Ladies who didn't have customers awarded me with the same cheerful-surprised smiles. The massage technic is interesting, and I felt good afterwards. But therapist stays on the massage table either with her knees by a customer's side, or supporting herself on knees over my body. All I was asked was "medium or hard" by the masseuse. I said medium. She proceeded to put extremely hard pressure, and let up just a bit when I cried out. She was pressing very hard on my spine. When I got home and got ready for a party, my husband asked what the hell happened to my spine. There were bruises going down my spine from the neck down, visible because of the cut of the dress. I am a fan of this place! The spa is located right off Milwaukee road, in a strip mall near Panera Bread and some other nice stores. I noticed it opened recently, and checked it out. Very large interior, new equipment, hospital quality clean. There are lots of different massage options, including couples massage, hot stone, deep pressure etc. and the pricing is pretty competitive compared to other spas in the burbs. I've been vigorously strength training for the past month and this place has truly helped me on my recovery days. Wendy is usually the one that answers the phone and is always very helpful and courteous. The lobby interior is kept very clean and looks well maintained. The massage rooms have very comfortable tables. The cradles for your head are very nice as well, you won't get any metal bars in your Adam's apple or headaches from poor cushioning. Well worth $140 for a couple. Starts of with about 15 mins over the sheet, followed by about 25 -30 min normal massage, then 5-7 min hot stone and finished with facial massage. Been here multiple times now. Great service, very clean and the therapists are all very well trained and professional. The entire team is very friendly and they all do a great job with massage. They don't take any short cuts and they give you the full allotted time. Facilities are nice and include a stand up shower, which is always maintained well! That's important! Asian Royal Spa is by far the best place I have experienced in the north suburb: 1) Deep tissue massage is right on. I always ask for Lisa but apparently from other reviews they have other recommended masseurs. And I always feel much relieved after the massage. 2) Very clean bathroom. 3) Reasonable price. It's $65 per hour for deep tissue massage for females. For any deep tissue massage lovers, I would highly recommend this place to you. Hope you have great experience as I do. read more
