Disappointed. I had high hopes for this place. Ordered a ribeye, asked for it to be cooked medium, with jumbo shrimp $13.99. When the plate arrived the ribeye was roughly as thin as 10 sheets of paper and anything but prepared medium. The meat was so well done it was grey in color and the texture was very dry and tough to chew. The shrimp and accompanying fried zucchini and onion rings were over fried; however, the French fries were cooked to perfection. Cocktail sauce was a bit different than usual having pepper and more than just horseradish and ketchup but tasty in its own way. I ordered a side salad that was very well portioned and dressed with croutons, cheese and tomatoes. Also, their ranch dressing is the good kind. Probably won't visit this cafe in the future but I hear from others that their breakfast and Mexican items are better than what I experienced. read more

The food was really good but the service was really bad. We had a waiter that wasn't helpful at all. He kept going to same table to talk not to serve them. He was talking to them like he knew them personally. He pay no attention to the other tables he had. We didn't get asked if we needed anything from him like more drinks or check. Other people helped us like the bus boy and the girl that gave us our food. Why even have a waiter if he's not willing to help you in any way. Took him forever to take our order and ask about drink when we were already done with our food. What's the point now. We thought he was going to help us but instead to his phone and was talking to that same table. Will not be coming back cause of him. That guy needs to be trained better. read more

Been supporting this mom & pop since I moved to the IE 14 years ago but not anymore. Why is the ENTIRE staff masked EXCEPT the owner/manager? And why does he think it's ok come up to me & speak with me without a mask? At least half the patrons walked in without masks and one inconsiderate one decided to sit right next to me, not leaving at one stool of space in between. My chicken fried steak was mediocre at best. The hash browns were really good, eggs were undercooked and the coffee was nice and strong. My server was awesome! There was one tall lady just walking around in circles doing absolutely nothing, watched as I received a cup of hot water instead of the coffee I had asked for and did nothing. Towards the end of my meal, I saw she actually picked up some plates and took them to their table. Two stars for my server and the coffee. read more

This is a nice family friendly cafe with tasty food and generous portions. We happened by and stopped in for brunch. Not too long of a wait during these COVID times. Staff was friendly and attentive. Most places have a two egg breakfast, this one has as a standard three egg. Great assortments of jellies and teas. My husband liked the hobo breakfast. Nothing fancy, but just a great place to bring a family, have a nice meal and feel comfortable. read more

My dad and stepmother brought me here for lunch. I was surprised this place was open during a shut down but more power to her! People have bills to pay! The place looked pretty clean and our hostess was friendly. I ordered the veggie omelette with red potatoes and wheat toast. The omelette was very good filled with veggies and very flavorful. The red potatoes were a little over cooked. The wheat toast was so good full of melted butter! The restroom was pretty clean. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I'd definitely return. read more

I'm happy restaurants are open dealing with the frustrations of 2020. We came for lunch and it was indoor seating. It honestly looked as though the last time this restaurant was cleaned was back in the 80s. The furniture is just so outdated as well as the carpet. It's hard to sit down and feel comfortable when you're environment feels a bit dirty - my concern was wondering if the kitchen was the same. The clientele at the time was only elderly around. No one our age and no high chairs available. The waitress was very rude. The food- served within 2-5 minutes. It was obvious it was already made and reheated. Honestly with all the steps businesses are doing to be clean I don't know how anyone can come inside and eat here. We asked for our food to be actually cooked and remade and the cook and waitress got very offended. With 2020 there's no excuse for the way this place looked inside. An outdated restaurant means outdated kitchen. It needs to be inspected inside because it doesn't in my opinion fit new 2020 covid regulations. I honestly don't know how anyone can eat here. The tables are so old even after we cleaned it/ it still looked dirty. Oh, and the plates were so gross they felt like old cafeteria plates. I honestly felt as though I was given reheated cafeteria food. At that point I'm better off eating at ikea or bringing them a pack of Dixie plates. Like Dollar Tree has plates for $1 come on now. There's no excuse. With not going out as often as we normally do- appearance, service and taste for a restaurant is a must. If you like a clean restaurant, good service and great food avoid this place. Especially if you have kids please keep them away. So many great small businesses didn't make it this year and honestly don't know how this place lasted this long. I rather just cook at home than come here it's not worth it in my opinion. read more

It's unfortunate that the workers here are severely understaffed, so I would give them a big tip for being so overworked. We've left tip for the table to clean up and we've also noticed that the manager is picking up the tips for himself. The owner also does not wear a mask for COVID. Stopped by today for a late breakfast. Chino Cafe serves a good, hearty, late breakfast. I like their egg breakfast, it comes with 3 eggs and they were cooked perfectly. I had the eggs with hash browns, ham (for a change) and biscuit and gravy. I asked for the hash browns crispy and they were. Ham was good, cooked right. The biscuit and gravy was OK, but a nice change from toast and jelly. I was surprised that there weren't many people in the restaurant. We need to support our little family owned businesses, I hope to see more people in the restaurant next time I come. read more

Good food and overall experience! Five-minute wait on the list for two on Mother's Day. The male host was very attentive and welcoming. Our female server was very nice and professional. The food was served hot and was cooked well. The only thing I'd say is the strawberry milkshake was much smaller than I thought it would be, and was a little too milky and runny. A big group of us came to eat here for a taco tuesday, they were able to seat 15 of us perfectly and promptly. We ordered some chips and salsa, they do charge for that by the way. The salsa was pretty good. For the tacos they only have hard shell tacos here, but for taco tuesday they are a $1 each so that was a plus. The amount of meat they put I thought was a little small, they do pack it with lettuce and cheese so it feels like your eating a taco salad. The tacos were ok but not sure if I would return for them. If we return I'll definitely check something else out from their menu. The staff was friendly, kept checking up on us the whole time. They do have a couple of tv's there, so I'm pretty sure they'll put on some baseball or football games on. read more

Use to love coming here. Today I went through the drive up window and found out some interesting information. Chicken strip orde no longer comes with honey mustard unless you pay extra. I also got some zucchini and found out that you must pay for an extra house dressing you only can have one ranch. The zucchini was burned and hard to eat. Went here because of the friendly family atmosphere of the restaurant and the decent Yelp reviews. The 4 of us ordered the Ribeye Steak sandwich, 12 oz Ribeye Steak, Shrjmp basket and Fried Chicken plate. Everything was OK. I compare it to a Sizzler minus the bomb ass cheese bread. I ordered the country ham and eggs while the boyfriend ordered the combo #1. Prices are fairly cheap... not as cheap as the bigger better breakfast at Norm's, but still pretty cheap. Country ham and eggs was $7.50. It came with 3 eggs, country ham, hash browns, and your choice of toast or biscuits and gravy. I ordered mine with biscuits and gravy. The ham was a bit dry, but everything else was good. My eggs were cooked the way I wanted it and the hash browns tasted fresh. The biscuits and gravy was good. Biscuit was soft and the gravy had sausage in it. My boyfriend's combo #1 came with 3 eggs, hash browns, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, and pancakes for $9.50. We both enjoyed our breakfast and our food came out in a timely manner. Our waiter was friendly and checked on us enough. It did take a bit long to get the check however. We would come back here again. We both liked the food and the prices, plus this place is like half a mile from where we live. read more

This was the worse experience that I have ever had. Every week I would pass by this establishment and was curious about the place. Today I went the servir was horrible. We waited for almost 45 minutes to get our food. When we got our food, they gave us the wrong order. The meat to my breakfast was not the temperature that I asked for and the waiter had the audacity to tell me that the meat was at the right temperature. The ambiance was okay and it wasn't my cup of tea. Above all, there are other restaurants in Chino that are way better than this place and the prices are ridiculous high. read more

Excellent service....Fast service.....I ordered spinach and eggs with feta cheese.... My husband ordered Chile Verde with eggs...when they brought are food the feta cheese wasn't melted all the way. Such a cute little mom and pop feel in this cozy little restaurant. I recently came here on a Monday afternoon and had the best country fried steak and eggs for brunch. The service was very attentive and friendly and the food was served very quickly. Our waitress made sure to keep checking to make sure we were filled up on coffee and water, and was available whenever we needed to ask for something. This has consistently been one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots in the area over the years and I will continue to keep coming back. read more

We got there and there was a sign saying it would take a while because they are short staffed. The hasbrown is fantastic, rustic with just the right crisp cover, handmade, NOT oily and seasoned lightly like it should be. So good! Sasauges links are tender and lightly seasonable ( again, big YES), cooked to tenderness. The pancakes are huge in portion and topped with butter..... I haven't had a juicy, soft and filling pancake in most of diners. This one blows my mind away. I can really tell the cook pay a lot of attention to the food and waitress is very receptive, you know they care a lot in this diner. I would come here over and over again compared to everything else around in the same price range.
