This is a little hole in the wall that's been at this location for a very long time. It is located at the chino airport off of Merrill street. They have plenty of parking. The moment you walk in, you feel like you walk back in time and are somewhere completely different. They have multiple pictures from the old days of the airport with many military planes. We went for brunch around 11am and most of the clientele at the time we went was on the older side. We were received by a friendly server who quickly accommodated our party of 6. They have a very laid back and casual ambiance. At the time, they had the breakfast and their lunch menu available. Those who ordered from the breakfast menu got their giant biscuits and gravy as a side. I highly recommend to order those in the side as they are huge! Another note to keep is that they make their gravy with pork and it is not specified on the menu. I ordered a tuna melt sandwich without the pickles. The sandwich was big and tasty. This was really good and it definitely hit the spot! Their tuna tasted fresh and they were generous with it. The sandwich came with french fries which were good. My coworkers all enjoyed their breakfast entrees and ended with to go boxes. Overall I can see us coming back to a team breakfast or brunch. My family and I came in today celebrating my son's birthday. Either of us sitting around enjoying each other's company we had a variety of food from the beef dip to pancakes and patty melts and finish it off eating pie. The service was wonderful. So when you walk in, the ambience is full of military memorabilia and photos on the walls. So it's nice considering it sits next to an airport. The service was great. There was a male person who greeted us when we walked in and asked us what we would like to drink once we sat down. Our waitress came over took our order and she was very nice and helpful letting us know what to order and what came with the order. We ordered our food and everything tasted amazing. I had scrambled eggs, a beef patty, and hashbrowns. It came with toast, but there were other options other than toast, but I chose toast. They brought out some housemaid salsa, which was very tasty, and a strawberry preserve. I think they made it there, which was really good. Gave Flo's a try with my girlfriend's meetup group for Sunday breakfast. We were a group of 8. Once everyone arrived we were seated and given menus to peruse. Our server was great, good banter, teasing us good naturedly, and joking with the table. She took our orders and our food came out remarkably fast. Portions are generous and the food was good. About half of our group brought home leftovers. Nice location on Chino airport. Quite a bit of aviation memorabilia is incorporated into the decor. Have to say I just love the diner experience. And when it comes to Flo's Airport cafe it ranks up there as one of the best experiences I have had. Service is exactly what I expected. Very fast and direct. They are busy. The cheeseburger very tasty in the classic sense. Golden sponge bun, 1/3 lb patty , crisp onions, tomato, and lettuce. We've been going to Flo's for a long time, airport and Riverside Drive location and this Sunday we called in and a rude old hag answered the phone around 1145Am. It's Sunday and our family was debating where we should go have a late brunch, so we decided to call Flo's and ask what there wait time looked like since we like the food and our son likes getting to see the planes nearby. When the rude lady answered I asked her the wait time and she says "honey we don't give wait times over the phone bc it can change at anytime. Thank you" and hangs up the phone immediately without letting my speak thereafter. Well no shit the wait times can change but I've never had a restaurant say they can't give wait times over the phone. It's common sense it's an estimate and not guaranteed. We just wanted to see if we could manage the wait with our young child. Anytime I've ever called a restaurant they always say "estimate" or "it can change at anytime" I've never had any restaurant be that rude over a simple question. Flo's came highly recommended by the staff at the Planes of Fame Museum from down the street and I'm really glad we took their advice. This not so little café (can seat 150) on the perimeter of the Chino airport is somewhat amazing. Pulling into the parking lot, you get a roadhouse/highway greasy spoon vibe. Inside, it's pretty busy with truckers & locals, but you're warmly welcomed to sit wherever you like and the dining room goes pretty far back. Also, if you show the sticker from the museum, you get 10% off your check. After we were seated, a man brought big cups of water to the table and a big carafe of coffee for my wife. He even brought more water cups later to replace the ones we had, because he said he didn't want us running out while we were eating! He was so nice! In addition to traditional breakfast eggs, omelets & pancakes, the menu has influences from Southern BBQ joints & roadside diners with a little South of the Border thrown in. We decided to order from the Specials board posted by the door as you walk in. My wife had the Turkey Ortega Patty Melt on Rye, which came with a choice of either Tomato Soup or Cole Slaw, but she decided to splurge and got both options. The thick whole grain rye bread was toasted on the griddle with turkey patty & cheese smothered with onions and spicy green peppers. It was an awesome sandwich! The homemade tomato soup was creamy and hearty. For myself, I opted for the Tri-Tip Special with mashed potatoes, all smothered in thick gravy. This came with Southern Green Bean Casserole, which had more other stuff like tomatoes peppers & turkey than green beans. The choice of bread was key here. Instead of plain dinner rolls or sliced bread, I went with the garlic Texas toast and that was the perfect partner to the tri-tip beef roast and gravy. It was so good, I swear I can still taste it. I really regret not ordering a slice of pie for dessert. They had over a dozen flavors to choose from. I come here every other week with a group of people and they always have a table ready for us to go and they know how to deal with big groups and have the capabilities to split checks for multiple people in the group Which I like. For the last few years... Flo's has been our must-stop, lunch-spot when coming out to Chino, California. After we spend the morning at Prado Olympic Shooting Park down the street, our group ALWAYS goes to Flo's Airport Cafe to have lunch which always comes with a side of funny table conversations. It's a Home-style cookin', kitchen to table, mom & pop kinda place. The servers here are quick-witted, spunky and they all convey that small town charm. Their motto is "Country Cookin' at its Best" and they've been at it since 1963!!! That's right! 62 years of serving up some mean breakfasts & Lunches that are all made to order. And despite having a very hearty breakfast menu, I've only ever had their lunch. But the word on the streets is that their top breakfast dishes are their country fried steak, their corned beef hash with biscuits & gravy and their homemade cinnamon rolls... i need help justifying todays cheese omellet. yeah it was real busy. i get it. i got my cheese omellete flat.and with two flat slices of velveeta or plastic wrap squares on top of the two sides of the open face omellett. i never saw that before. i expect it to be rolled.also the cheese was what appeared to be only spatula heated and pressed onto the top the eggs. sorta hot rubbery for sure, folks. please. fold the egg over with the cheese squares actually melted. i ate it sure but thats not an omellett. i probably didnt spell tha t right either. go to flo's though. ok. read more

What more could you ask for? Great food, fantastic pies and the best service around. Located near the Chino Airport, Flo's is as nostalgic as it gets. Surrounded by buildings that have been around since WWII. The inside is spacious with plenty of room for large parties and a counter with seats for about 8 people. Food is always tasty with options for breakfast and lunch. On this visit I had a delicious cheeseburger with french fries that were cooked to perfection. I don't recall the type of pie I purchased but it came highly recommended by waitress Roxanne. I do know it has peanut butter. She wouldn't give me any information about the current wait time and told me, "You just have to come and find out." Her tone was dismissive, and she came across as condescending and sarcastic in her responses. It was incredibly frustrating, especially since it was raining, and I really didn't want to wait outside in the wet weather with my young kids. I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years, and I've always supported their small business. As a member of this community, I expected much more respect, especially over the phone. One of the better breakfast joints in the area. The service to get my order in was a little slow, but I think that was more due to the crowd of folks inside than an indication of a lack of service. The breakfast itself was great all around, but especially the corned beef hash and biscuits & gravy. I love a good hash in the morning and, while it wasn't anything innovative in terms of ingredients, this is how you do hash right. Plus, the biscuits & gravy was just a good portion full of good stuff to put in your belly as quickly as possible. And how can you resist capping it off with a fresh-made slice? Flo's is like a Kitchen Nightmares episode. The horrible sewer smell and flies were our first sign. Then being told they spray some type of chemical nightly to fend off the flies. The vents appeared to be really dirty. You can tell they don't care. Use a fan at the front door to stop the flies. The biscuits were small and seemed like some box mix. The gravy was luke warm and had no flavor. The pancakes were large but rubbery and had no flavor. The scrambled eggs were a flat over cooked omelette. Stop being lazy and cook scrambled eggs properly. The bacon and potatoes were above average. Seasoning ln the potatoes would help. Prices are marked very high for the end product. I attempted to contact the owner before placing the review but they only come in couple times during the week. Another owner that just doesn't care. It was very clear the crowd was older which tells me new long term business is rare. Oh - if your going to have an official or unofficial Santa claus walk around the restaurant and not say hello to everyone - it's bad representation of your organization and I got scrooge vibes because I wasn't part of the club. We walked in and were greeted immediately and with such a home feel! Awesome diner style countertop with what looked like some regulars with 2 rooms of seating. Got there about 730a and it was already buzzing with a good amount of guests. Service was great as it seemed everyone pitched in to get people seated and situated to enjoy their morning! My son and I split Paul's Platter. It was a lot of food that was delicious! We had to ask for a box. The biscuits and gravy were on point with such a rich and creamy pepper flavor and the biscuits light and fluffy! The platter also included 3 eggs, bacon, sausage and a game steak served with hashbrowns! We were not disappointed. As plates came out we saw so much great looking food. It is hidden on the airport grounds so make sure u pay attention to ur turns otherwise u could end up on the tarmac! It's a small but homey feel cafe. There are locals that frequent often. Our server was great! She was kind but also took no one's BS haha. She made sure the food came out hot and our coffees were always filled and kept hot by a young man. Breakfast burrito was delicious and the salsa had a good kick to it. Super busy, despite the pouring rain - must be a great sign! What I ate: - Country fried steak and eggs: all delicious foods are just shades of brown and this delivered. The steak came huge and on its own plate. I love that they thought about it and put the gravy underneath the steak to leave it with some texture. Cute little OG spot tucked in by the Chino airport. Great service and food. On the weekends you may need to wait a few minutes to get seated but worth it.
