Our AC unit was going out and I had 3 bids to replace it. Indian Air was the best quote and product. Jason gave us the initial estimate. He was professional and honest. Indian Air was able to get our install scheduled quickly even with the heat wave we were experiencing. Abel and Ty installed the unit quickly and got us up and running. I have used Indian Air for the past five years, for my home and a two story Townhome (a rental) I always found Christine who used to answer the phone, Abel and Tyler, both technicians, reliable, and honest. I had purchased a package for service twice a year. Unfortunately, Steve who I have never found pleasant to work with answered the phone when I called today to renew service on my home. He then informed me that the Townhouse contact would almost double in price due to the fact that it is two man job (unit on roof) which is a safety factor which I appreciate. One technician stands on the ground in case there are any issues. Again, they have been servicing this property for almost 5 years without doubling the price. Steve arrogantly repeated himself three times to me today indicating it was and I quote "two man job" as if I was an idiot who didn't hear him the first time. Clearly, Indian Air does not appreciate good loyal customers. This is not an ethical way to do business as Steve is rude and "gouging" customers for no reason. I would NOT recommend doing business with them. read more

UPDATE: I contacted Senator Jeff Flake's office telling him my recent business transaction with Indian Air and requested he consider writing legislation that would require... 1. A service provider to show their actual cost for parts on repair parts 2. Cap the profit margin they can charge...such as 300%. 3. Make it illegal to charge a higher fee depending on the time of year. In this case, AC companies often charge higher fees during "peak seasons", which I was reminded of by Indian Air, BTW. read more

Manufacturer warranty department says in writing they never told Indian Air I declined a free inspection or any offerred inspection by the manufacturer. Per April at the manufacturer. Rather it's up to Indian Air to put in a warranty claim after Indian Air inspects and Indian Air told manufacturer they did inspect. So my hands are tied. All of this is up to Indian Air. So in reality Indian Air is claiming things that show they are not working ethically to resolve this issue. It's concerning they are trying to slander my character. This will come out in the wash. I would love to post the screenshot of the manufacturers statements to debunk Indian Air lying about me declining a free inspection to the manufacturer. Shame on Indian Air. read more

I'm giving Indian Air a 5 Star rating because their service was top notch and Able their service man was friendly and provided us a clear written service agreement prior to doing any work on our furnace and air conditioner. Our system hadn't been serviced in several years and Indian Air gave us a great rate on the inspection and replaced all necessary parts the same day. I really appreciate that they offer a maintenance service program as well which is key to having your system run efficiently and saves money in the long term. Start of the summer. Who wants air conditioning problems? Not I. But it happened. I called Indian Air and they came out within the hour to look at our cooler. Suprisingly he brought down a piece of the cooler that held the fuses. A copper pipe was in the placement of where a fuse should of been. He told me that this could possibly of burned our house down. Talk about freak out mode. He honestly told me my options. He was friendly and honest. I can't not thank him enough for his honesty and kindness. Even the lady at the office was kind enough to call the tech and tell him my issue then call me back. I appriciate Indian Air for their kindness and honesty. My husband had Indian Air out to look at our heat and air unit as the compressor would come on, but the fan would not work. The service man was on the roof for a short period of time. When he came down, he told my husband we needed a new motor at a cost of $600.00 or if he wanted to go with a new unit it was $6200.00. My husband said he would think about it and paid the $69.00 service call. After talking to a friend, who recommended another company, He had them come out. After checking the unit out, he came down with a small part and said that was our problem. It was a capacitor from the motor. The service call, the cost of the part and installing it was $115.00. The unit is working great. So even having to pay the $69.00 service fee to Indian Air we still saved $416.00 not going by there diagnoses and getting a second opinion. read more

I had an addition added to the house in '09 and the general contractor used Indian Air for a split wall unit (A/C and heat). I own several rentals and have used SPE for most of my needs but was given assurance that Indian Air worked well with the general contractor. Three years ago the A/C had quit working and I paid Indian Air $280 to replace the Shrader valve and recharge it with Freon. This year The A/C didn't work and they came out and said the compressor was bad and recommended a replacement at $3,200. I called Brian of SPE and he came out, checked the error code, emailed tech support, texted me the next day and told me to disconnect the system power, ( pull the fuse bank or flip the switch at the electric panel) and wait 5 minutes, reconnect and see what happens. Well, the reboot of the system was quite enough to get the system up and running. The nice, and courteous dispatcher at Indian Air assured me that they stand by their diagnoses and that my system would eventually break down...(of course...nothing lasts forever...but I expect more than 7 years of service out of a much touted and very expensive product). I have been given assurance by said, nice and courteous lady, that I should expect a refund for the $65 service call. read more

Liar, lair,lairs that seems to be the common thread for the reviews. After speaking with Chris she stated that their pricing was standard across the industry. We called them because our Trane Company gave us their number to fix our unit that a previous Trane company did not install correctly and now is out of business. Indian air came out and stated we needed a new Mother board which cost us over 300.00 and the part was under warranty. The furnace still did not work so they came out and gave us three options. 1. replace furnace/air unit. 2. clean out the soot . 3. replace the heat exchanger which the part was under warranty. We chose option#3 with a cost of 1249.00. When they arrived I started questioning the bill and called Chris trying to figure out why it was so expensive. Again she stated it was a FLAT rate but she stated that included shipping, paperwork work and the time to fix it. I asked for it to be broken down and she would not do this. Stating it was a standard industry practice. I disagreed but we still used them. I then called a different company and low and behold we got a price broken down. Shipping $125.00 and $623.00 for labor. That makes Indian Air almost double the price of the other company. read more

Indian Air came out to repair our a/c then misdiagnosed it, charged us over $400.00 and it still did not work. They came out again and told us it was something else and wanted to charge us over $600.00 to fix it. We called another local licensed a/c company and they came out. For $145.00 they fixed the system. The one part they used was a third of the price that Indian Air quoted and the other items that Indian Air quoted were not even needed. Wanted to not give a star, but I was forced to, so 1 star it is....Very disappointed in the customer service my family received today. It is winter, our heater quit working properly. Called and left a message, tech called my wife back. His rude and condescending manner he talked to my wife and my sister with will not be tolerated. It is one thing to try and explain something to someone, but to be condescending and rude, uncalled for. I spent $8k of my hard earned money, paid in cash (IN FULL) upfront to upgrade my system. I guess it was the filter plugged (to be determined)... I am great on changing the filter on my new unit... as a matter of fact, I just changed the filter last month, right before the holidays. If this does not fix the problem, I will call another agency out to assist my needs... maybe they will have proper, maybe even stellar, customer service. Those that are working for these companies need to realize, you are in a customer centered environment, you depend upon customers, for without customers, you business will FOLD, and you will be unemployed. I am sure the owners of Indian Air would prefer to grow their business rather than deplete it. read more

We purchased a new home that Indian Air did the heating and cooling in along with an air exchange system (which I know nothing about). After living in the house for 6 months we noticed a significant temperature difference in our master bedroom and master bath. It was so cold in that part of the house that we had to put a space heater in. I thought this was odd being this is a brand new home and also an energy certified home. My builder representative had Indian Air call me at which point they told me they would come out and look at it however it would be a $65 charge because they only warranty their work for a year. I said okay great well we haven't been in the house a year. She said well we did the installation over a year ago so you are out of warranty. I replied but we haven't been living there a year yet and she replied well I can't help when you bought the house. After calling back again and speaking with the owner he reiterated the same thing that she did. That they will not go out to my house without a $65 charge because it has been over a year that the system was installed. Fair enough I kind of get it. So I asked what if something is wrong with the work that you did. He said they would not cover it because it's out of warranty. So why would I pay a company $65 to come out and inspect the work that they did and then possible charge me to fix the work that they did? Something just seems a little shady with this company be careful. I work for a builder in town and I know for a fact the subcontractor that we use for our HVAC work would stand behind their work 100%. read more
