I boarded my Pomeranian here from April 2-6 while I was out of town. Overall, my dog seemed happy when I picked him up around 11:30 AM and had minimal signs of anxiety, which I really appreciated. One downside was that the facility was closed on Easter Sunday. I wish there had been an option to pick him up that day when I returned from my trip. During pickup, my experience at the front desk wasn't great. The staff member was speaking very loudly the entire time (possibly due to the barking in the background), but it came across as dismissive. There wasn't much eye contact or friendliness, which made the interaction feel impersonal. I also would have appreciated a quick update or report on how my dog did during his stay, as that would have added peace of mind. Overall, my dog seemed well cared for, but the customer service and communication could definitely be improved. read more

My dogs go here for their groomings. We have tried other places as well as mobile groomers but we always bring them back here. The pups get their summer cuts and look so fresh and so clean each time! We have 3 of them so we make an appointment though an appointment is not always necessary as long as they're dropped off between 8-10am. They're quick about calling once done so they don't have to stay too long in the kennels. We love bringing our dogs here! read more

Chino caring kennel is the greatest! Ever since we've been taking our pup there, I'm alittle jealous. Cause my pup runs to go inside and she forgets to say good-bye to us. I'm so glad she's happy there when we leave her. I have no worries leaving her in great hands. They spoil her when she doesn't wanna eat, they hand feed her to get food in her belly. I just love my doggy's groomers Denise and Alycia. We are coming from the south Orange County area and always arrive as they open at 8:00am in an effort to have them done as early as possible. We always run a few errands and our 3 dogs are always done before noon which we just love! I've been coming here since 1986 (aka Vinjons Kennel) and because of this we are willing to drive the distance for our fur babies. I had to board my cane corso since I was going of if state. I wish I knew about this place sooner! I've been boarding my dog at a near by pet hospital and it was almost $20 more a night! It was a really easy drop off her and her food and then return before 1pm to pick her up. You do have to make sure your dog is up to date on vaccinations, which they also administer at a lower price than most pet hospitals. I'll definitely be back her again! A one stop shop!! They do boarding, training, vet services and more! Our dogs boarded there and we had a great experience! From the ease to making reservations online to drop off etc! Lots of room in the kennel and extra outside time play is so cheap. We would definitely use their dog grooming services next time as well!! We have boarded our two cats here for a week and all went well. This time we brought our 9 year old German Shepherd Gladys. She smells terrific! She was de-shed and had a full bath. She was do happy and hungry when she got home so we fed het and took her picture. She was fuzzy from shedding and had not had a bath in a while. She really enjoyed the attention she got at Chino's Caring Kennel and it was not as expensive as it is at Petsmart. Always over $100 we only were charged $73 + tax. We are very pleased. We had a wonderful experience with the grooming of my yellow and chocolate labordors. They did a top notch job!!

If you're dog is nervous about grooming or is nervous around strangers, DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!! Context: When we first adopted my dog, he was playful and kind to strangers and other dogs as a puppy. He was never aggressive and would never bite unless playfully. We would bathe and groom him at home and he was NEVER defensive with us. He'd get a little nervous around strangers but would quickly warm up to them after a couple seconds. Back in 2020 My mother and I brought our 5 month old puppy to this place for his first grooming session ever thinking that they'd take good care of him. When I went to go pick him up, the staff gave me a horrible attitude saying that he behaved poorly and wouldn't let the groomer do their job. She then told me to come get my dog from the kennel because he was being "too aggressive" and wouldn't get out of the kennel. When I went to go get him he lunged at me at first which was extremely shocking because he's NEVER done that before. His tail was in between his legs and he was showing me teeth. After he smelled it was me, he immediately ran in between my legs and started pulling me towards the door in a hurry. I don't know what they did to him but it is clear they mistreated him. Once home he hid under the sofa and was asleep for the rest of the day. I am writing this now 5 years later because unfortunately since then every grooming experience has become difficult and social interaction with humans have increasingly become more and more difficult. We have to let our guests know not to pet him in certain areas because he'll think your trying to hurt him. We now have to resort to giving him Veterinary approved drugs to sedate him while he gets groomed. He is extremely defensive towards men now and will bite when he feels threatened. We have been trying for 5 years to get him to feel safe around men and groomers, and have been training him with professionals. Thankfully we found people who do care about their animals and are extremely patient when he comes in for his grooming session, because even under sedation he fights the drug so hard due to this one bad experience and has his defenses up. I personally trained this dog when he was a puppy and there was not a single issue until this visit. I truly wish we never brought our dog here as it's costs us even more money in the long run for his sedation pills and training. Do your research for your dogs first ever grooming experience, especially if you have a nervous dog. If you want a place that actually cares for your dogs well being I'd recommend Qutie Pets grooming! They have a wonderful staff and spend time making sure your dog is comfortable. read more

This is our second time having our Bobbi-Jo board with them while we traveled out of the country. Both times, our baby came back happy with her tail wagging. We have brought our dog here for day care and overnight boarding since fall of last year and already posted a well deserved positive 5 star review. This review is about the recent boarding training. Our dog is a resource guarding and reactive dog that has a history of biting because of those characters. We are thankful to Kat who has connected with him very quickly. She trained him and subsequently trained us to mitigate and navigate his behaviors. We had follow up/refresh sessions to help us be on track at home after completion at the facility. For the most part, his resource guarding and reactivity behaviors are in his DNA's but Kat helped us manage them by setting boundaries on both sides. I was desperately looking for somewhere to board my furry baby and luckily I did find this place. I was recommended to this place by the Chino Animal Hospital since my dog was missing one of the required vaccines. This is also one of the very very few places that have boarding this cheap (about $33 for small dogs) because it seemed like the average nowadays are about $60-$70 a night. Reading the reviews made me even more skeptical about boarding my dog since all the reviews here seem to be about grooming, but I literally had no other options... I boarded my maltese poodle for a 3 day stay. The process went by smoothly, the staff were all pretty nice, so I was hoping they would handle him well. As I left, I heard a bunch of dogs just barking on the side of the building behind the fence, assuming thats where they keep all the dogs for boarding. After I picked up my dog, he seemed to look a bit antsy and I wasn't sure why, but there was also so much gunk in his eye area, and it was green? I've rarely seen green gunk around his eye area before unless its bacterial which I thought was pretty disgusting. There were so many dried poop particles caught on the bottom of his paws. He kept scratching himself in an oddly manner, I felt like he must have gotten fleas? And his nose area seemed to have changed color to pink-ish and became dry, which there was also a fleshy mark right on top of his nose, I feel like another dog must have scratched him? From the look of his trip, I felt sorry for him and felt like no one really watched him during his stay? I immediately had to give him bath when I brought him home because he looked like a mess after just 3 days. I'm glad I was able to find him a place, but I wouldn't come back here again. The dogs got skunked. One of them was brought here and the other was taken to a different grooming place. After getting deskunked at Chino's Caring Kennel, you could not tell that the dog ever had an exciting animal encounter. My dog stayed here for about 9 days. I provided carefully bagged food for each day and expected my dog to eat it. When my wife picked him up, there was only a little food left - like he had eaten it. However, his ribs and spine were visibly protruding! He lost a significant amount of weight while he was there. There was no feedback from them when he was picked up and they certainly didn't call to let us know he wasn't eating while he was staying there. Although normally a super gentle and sweet dog, he was very snappy and growled a lot when he came home - things he absolutely had never done before. It took about a month for his normal behavior and weight to return. What goes on at this place? I should've taken the hint when I dropped him off. The girls seemed to not be able to answer questions and almost seemed a bit confused when I asked them. I will NEVER take my dog here again and don't recommend anyone else does, either. read more
