l've always gave this groomer a good review but today's experience made me never want to come here again. When I have booked my appointment the groomer never told me l needed an updated shot record today 10 minutes before my appointment when I had already drove 20 minutes to get there from Rancho. They decided to text me to bring in the papers. Only problem was I was driving from Rancho and going straight to work after I even had arrangements for someone to pick up my dog after his appointment. I let them know that it was very inconsiderate to let me know 10 minutes before and they decided to tell me sorry for the confusion, your dog has been difficult and needs his rabbie vaccine on file. That's fine, but there was no confusion on my end. I made the appointment and nobody told me to get the info which I would've gladly got last night and had it prepared this morning. I also had never been told that my dog is difficult before this text. Very sad that rather than take accountability they'd rather put it as a me, problem and label my dog as difficult. Just a heads up for anyone bringing their dog here for grooming. I wasn't aware ahead of time that they charge an additional cleaning fee if your dog poops or pees in the crate while waiting. Apparently it's for the extra cleanup, which I understand, but I honestly didn't know about this policy beforehand. I'm not sure where they have this listed on their website because I didn't see anything mentioning this. It definitely wasn't made clear to me before my appointment, so the fee caught me by surprise. Just something to be aware of if you're bringing your dog in. If your pup tends to get nervous or has to go frequently, make sure they go right before drop-off because if nature calls while they're in the crate, you might get charged a cleaning fee. read more

Unacceptable and Greedy Practice - I Will Not Return!** I am writing this out of sheer frustration with the appalling service I received today. My dog had an 8:00 AM grooming appointment. Without any prior warning about a short pickup window, I received a text at 9:19 AM stating he was ready. As a working professional, I did not see this immediate notification. They called at 11:00 AM, and I arrived promptly at 11:20 AM. To my absolute disbelief, I was then slapped with a $20 "late fee." Let me be clear: the entire time from drop-off to pickup was only 2.5 hours, and I came as soon as I could after their first direct phone call. Charging a penalty under these circumstances is nothing short of a money-grabbing tactic. It is unacceptable to finish a job hours early, provide no clear policy about pickup deadlines, and then punish customers for it. This experience shows a complete lack of fairness and customer care. You have lost a customer permanently. I will never return, and I will be sure to share this unfair experience with other local pet owners. Save your money and your patience--go elsewhere. read more

If I could leave a zero star I would. They canceled our pups dog grooming on his bday and stated our dog didn't keep a calendar (he wouldn't know) which is very insensitive! I understand emergencies happen however, the way it was handled was very unprofessional. I hope the person texting us was not the owner because they should seek customer service 101. Don't use their mobile grooming service at least, our dog was left with severe chemical burns because the shampoo was left on for too long and wasn't washed off properly so now we are stuck with expensive vet bills and weeks worth of special care, medication and cleaning his wounds. I will be heading to their location to try and get some kind of reimbursement. But take care if you are looking to use their mobile grooming service. *just talked to the owner Dan and they are refusing any responsibility saying it is physically impossible to leave shampoo on a dog for too long and that the dogs preexisting skin allergies are what caused these wounds. Our vet told us specifically that these wounds are chemical burns not due to skin allergies. So i would avoid this place, go somewhere else they dont care about your dog or you. Just so everyone knows our vets bill to date are just over $800 and the grooming cost $115 and our poor dog is going to be healing from this for over a month. **the shampoo is a prescription shampoo and was prescibed by another vet not the current so vet so we couldn't have purchased it independently. I contacted the manufacturer of the shampoo and the verified that it can indeed cause burns if used improperly, i.e. left on too long and not rinsed off properly. Also a dog can't speak and tell us something is wrong so being left on without anyone noticing is entirely plausable. Which vet did you talk to because Dr. Rameriz the vet who saw Kai 100% classified it as chemical burns and reported it to the manufacturer of the shampoo as chemical burns and not related to skin allergies, even Dr. Daniels verified that in her perfessional opinion those wounds are not related to skin allergies. If you can't provide video of the groomer actually washing our dog then you can't say with 100% confidence that they did their job properly. I added an updated picture and if you look at the scars it sure looks like a liquid, shampoo, was poured down his back and your groomer was the last person to put anything on our dog for over a month. Regardless of whatever you excuses you come up with your groomer messed up and disfigured our dog that we are still dealing with cleaning the wounds and taking to the vet. Thanks for your response but we will always be convinced you are at fault and we will always tell people to not use your mobile grooming service. ***ok i just got off the phone with our vet and they verified that they never sent any information regarding our dog to anyone nor did they talk directly to anyone aboit our dog and all requests would have to go through Dr. Rameriz and have our consent and we never consented to anything and Dr. Rameriz never sent or authorized any information to be sent. And furthermore according to California Buisness and Professions Code Section 4857.5 veterinary medical records are confidential and may not be disclosed without owner consent or a court order. So either you are lying or you exposed a violation and we would need to see your court order and know exactly who you talked to and when so we can take proper actions. read more

When booking an appointment, I'm usually accommodated as soon as they have an opening - it's best to book at least a couple of weeks beforehand. There are times I may be in a "mood", but the groomer knows me by now & reassures everything will be alright. I try not to wait too long before appointments, but sometimes life gets busy before I can go to Mutt Cutts. When this happens, I'm usually a hot mess & my groomer knows exactly what to do! If I could give this place zero stars I would, this was our first time getting our 4 month old baby groomed, worst experience not only for us but for him! He hasn't been the same since his visit 3 days ago! He is not himself, and not only did they NOT give him the haircut we asked for, the cut him! His skin you can see in this photo is pink! His hair is so short and NOT at all what we asked for, we simply asked for a teddy bear cut, how does this even look like a teddy bear? And with the weather changing how can they even do this to a puppy. The receptionist asked us and said we won't cut it short because it's getting colder, and we agreed we didn't ask or want that, our son that has ASD didn't even recognize him and was hesitant to pet him. We will never go back here, he also kept scratching himself after we picked him up and smelled like puppy, his nails were extremely sharp too! Overall everything was horrible. I have been taking my shelties to Mutt Cutts for over 10 years. Maria was fabulous and always groomed my girls herself. When she sold her business a couple of years ago, she had trained Macario to groom my dogs. When I called this time, Macario was gone and no one knew who we were! I let them do my dogs but aside from them getting bathed, one of my girls had a huge mat behind her ear and the edges of her ears were crusty, kind of like there was soap that hadn't been rinsed. The hair between their pads was marginally removed, but one foot on my agility girl had not been touched. Also, their nails had not been touched! My feeling is the incompetence is huge and I can't trust them with my dogs. I will not be back!! read more

UPDATE: The following day, Eevee got sick. She wasn't herself at all, she seemed depressed and like she was in pain. We took her to the vet and she had a 104° fever and was dehydrated. They did a x-rays and bloodwork, checked her butt, and luckily everything came back normal. They gave her inflammation medication and an IV. She's still taking the medication, but she's getting back to her normal self now. They're not sure what was wrong with her. Rex has been completely fine. I'm wondering if it was traumatic for her because it was a new place and she didn't know the people well. We brought our dogs Rex and Eevee here for the first time, and we are happy with the results! The staff is really friendly and our dogs really enjoyed them. Rex got a bath and haircut and he looks super cute! Eevee got a bath and her fur looks very healthy and beautiful. We love the bandanas they put on them! We picked them up a few hours ago and they're exhausted they've been napping since. Thank you for grooming our babies, we will be coming back! read more

We've been here twice and I've had the most amazing experiences here, especially today. My dog was just diagnosed with Pancreatis and after being close to loosing him I had a hard time leaving him for the groom. I was so afraid he'd stress himself out and break into a flare up, sending him back to the hospital. Once I expressed my concerns with the salon staff they made it an express groom and he was out within an hour. I'm so happy that it is even an option to get him in and out so quickly. I waited to write this review because i really hate to write not great reviews, I understand how they can negatively affect a business but as a pet owner and after more than one try here I felt it important to post this. I've used this place about 5 times. A few times for just baths other times were for grooming. Now I am aware having a golden doodle with crazy hair may be more difficult in the grooming world. I would prefer if a groomer told me they didn't feel Comfortable then take on the job. On the first incident my dog had to be almost shaved because of how matted he was. Fine, totally understandable. When i came to pick him up the woman casually told me that they snipped him while grooming and that it was just a little red... when we got home to check his entire anal Area was red and cut open... it took 7 days to fully heal. They told me he was wiggly and this was the reason for the snip. I wasn't offered a discount, she even suggested putting rubbing alcohol on it ( ummm rubbing alcohol on an anal cut, girl Come on) So I gave them benefit of the doubt and decided to try again. The pictures below are result of the next time I had to have them shave him. He seems to like going in, but when i went in this time they told me the prices had changed. It would be $10-$15 more... fine sometimes i pay $60 sometimes $50. They called me within 2 hours of drop off which was great, super fast... well not so great. I go in to pick him up, he is completely shaved. I actually even said to her " oh no wrong dog" I literally didn't even recognize him I totally thought it was the wrong dog. He was shaking so bad, not sure it it's because he was so uncomfortable or he was freezing. They charged me $100 to shave him, in the past the most I've ever paid was $70.... So whatever pay the bill still in shock that my dog is literally naked. Get in the car and he was going crazy biting and scratching himself like he couldn't sit still. Noticed his nails looked the same, hadn't even been cut and he smelled, well like dog... clearly they didn't even bathe him !! Get home check him out, pictures are attached to this review. So not only am i annoyed i just paid extra but now this is the second time he's been carelessly groomed and this time it was all over his body. It's been 5 days and he is still itching nonstop ALL day. Licking his wounds, he seems super uncomfortable and upset. He is so cold he won't even go outside to potty or stick his head out of the window anymore ( hie favorite). It's super unfortunate and i haven't even called because what's the point i feel like this review is fair and i tried to give multiple chances but after watching my dog suffer now going on a week I think it's only right to let other pet owners know approach with caution Follow up to my review.... .because he was so itchy ( today is day 6) i decided to give him a oatmeal Bath. I am even more upset that after getting him wet I was able to see that he has scabs on his ears and was cut on BOTH ears inside and outside of his ears!!!! read more

I didn't want to write this review, but I spent $114 plus a tip and my 2 yorkies looked like I gave them a haircut. Unfortunately, it was not the first time either but it's the last time. When I told them I was not satisfied with the cuts they blamed it on my dogs claiming they weren't sitting still. wtf. I was very disappointed by the excuses because the dogs are small plus 11 and 13 yrs old mild manner girls that go with the flow . I will not be going back not even for the teeth brushing. The groomers here are inexperienced and just not that good at fine tuning the haircut. My dogs look choppy and fuzzy hair left between toe pads, thighs and lows, just bad!!!
