The food is always good here, but the stars are for management.. not service. I feel for the people working there because they're overwhelmed. I placed an online order for pick up at 12 and it wasn't ready until 1225. I spent my entire lunch break just waiting on it. I could have just went through the line instead of ordering online. There were only 2 people working online orders and you can read their screen from the waiting area that said they had 20 orders for noon alone. I would recommend either limiting the amount of orders that can be completed per time slot with online orders or asking the employees from the walk in line to help the online orders when they get overwhelmed. Everyone waiting had to help them finish our orders (if they forgot the chips and guacamole or a drink) and help them find our names on the list of online orders. They couldn't keep up. read more

What you might think will be a delectable treat you can raise to your mouth to eat actually is an overstuffed mess about to drop all over your face, lap, plate, and table - wherever you choose to try to consume this disaster. It is obvious those making these burritos don't eat them or they would know how ridiculously they are making the item. I never like making negative reviews on a place but I've visited this location three times and I'm just not satisfied with the overall experience and availability of food here. I have never been mistreated by the staff here but their communication among themselves displays a lot of attitude and discontent with one another and it's very awkward to watch. I did witness a staff member questioning a customer rather oddly while serving me. I can only imagine the customer felt singled-out when they had to answer a questions about why they weren't satisfied with their food and returning it. On two occasions of visiting this location they were always out of something during lunch hour. I've worked in this industry before and you should always have the ingredients constantly coming. I've been coming to this Chipotle ever since I started working in the area. This review is based on the customer service and lack of it. First off, the lady at the register was so rude to me when I asked a question or extra of anything. It's national avocado day and I asked if I can switch my order to online (bc I didn't know you only could get the free guac if you placed an online order) and she said no and rolled her eyes. She did not apologize or anything. The main reason why I don't order online is bc my order is always messed up when I do, and I told her that and she didn't seem to care. I tried to find someone else to speak with, but it seemed as though everyone was too "busy." Never experienced such bad customer service at this location. Let me explain why I am reviewing a chain restaurant. I know that the whole point of chain restaurants it to be exactly the same everywhere you go. This consistency is supposed to be comforting and reassuring because there are never any surprises. The only time I ever review chain places is when they are a deviation from the norm. Now the food at this Chipotle isn't anything unusual. If you generally like Chipotle's food, you will like it here. However, the difference comes with the speed of the employees. Everyone is SO FAST. Even when the line is out the door, you can get your food in 10 minutes or less. And, I have never found a problem finding a spot to sit either. The customers must be as fast at eating the food as the employees are at making the food. So all in all, a much less painful then normal lunch time experience at this Chipotle. read more

I like that Chipotle's menu is flexible so that you can order exactly what you want. Their assembly line is efficient. Their vegetables at least taste reasonably fresh. Their salsas suck and they're stingy with the beans and heavy on the rice. This place gets mad crowded at lunch. I like Chipotle. I really do. There isn't one where I live, so whenever I'm out of town and there's a Chipotle...I eat there! Well this one....the food was good. Same ole reliable Chipotle. But the staff wasn't that great. No greeting...they just looked at the us like "Well, what do you want??" No one told me the guac was going to be extra...of course I know it's extra, but the girl who scooped it on my burrito chose to not even look at me and I guess that's why I wasn't informed of the extra charge. We ran up here for a carbo loaded hangover management lunch. Eventhough the line was OUT the door, we got in, got our burritos (pinto/pollo para mi muchas gracias), and got out in no time flat. Hey got my order correct, the price was right, and I didn't get sick in the afternoon. Why only 4 stars? Same dam thing that happens at every Chipotle: uneven distribution of burrito ingredients. Hello again Chipotle. Yes, yes, I am back. I know, I said that last time was going to be my final journey, that I can't afford to eat here anymore. But I just can't get over you. I think about you all the time - on the bus, at work, alone at night staring at the ceiling. Sure, I've had others - Qdoba is safe and reliable and treats me good, but it's just so safe and boring. And Taco Bell is good for a cheap thrill every once in a while, but when I wake up in the morning I'm always filled with regret from the night before. Food truck burritos too, but they're always on the move and I just can't keep up. I know, I've made mistakes...that I've hurt you. But you've hurt me - your deceiving calorie totals when you've told me again and again you are a healthy alternative to fast food. Your ingredients are sometimes not as locally grown as your advertising indicates. You sometimes break federal immigration laws. And don't get me started on the recent bump in the cost of guacamole, which you know I'll pay for because only terrible people who kick puppies and talk during movies don't order guacamole. But you've also got good qualities too - I can order online. There is plenty of seating available at this location. And, I'll admit it...you make a tasty burrito. Sometimes you send me coupons or even sometimes forget to charge me for the guacamole, which makes me feel special in a way a Qdoba or Taco Bell can't. So I'm asking for you to take me back. We can start over. Perhaps at a different location, such the Pentagon City Mall or that new location at Potomac Yard. I can cut back on other things, like overly-expensive brunch buffets or frozen yogurt. What I'm saying is...we can make this work. I know we can make this work. My friend got the catering card for eating here 20 plus times. I had no idea how professional their catering kit was going to be. The chicken was spot on and I loved all the sides. My only complaint is they could of given less beans and another side of corn or guacamole. We had 4 giant trays of beans. Came with my family. I asked for a kids bowl for my 8 year old son, which I've don't many times before. He got rice, cheese, lettuce, corn, sour cream and tomatoes. When ringing me up the cashier told me the total and I handed her my card. Then the other person on the line informed her of the chips. Which comes with a kids meal. She added the charge and quickly swiped my card. I looked at the receipt and was charge for chips and a veggie bowl and told her I was incorrectly charged. (The other two meals were a burrito and a bowl) I said I had asked for a kids bowl. She said "no you got a veggie bowl". I said, "but I ASKED for a kids bowl". I love Chipotle and this one comes in 2nd for my ranking in the DC area.... The staff is always welcoming and they are very good at making the burritos. Of course there are times there are some pretty hefty lines but come on (it's a chipotle) I do recommend if you ever walk up and see a tour bus parked outside to turn around and go home because you're looking at a minimum 45 minutes wait. I love Chipotle and since going vegan it's one of the few places I know I can go and get good fast food. Tonight I went to this particular location at around 5pm and it was not particularly busy. There were maybe 3-4 employees standing at the end of the line near the register and no customers. I walk in. No greeting, no acknowledgement and all of them were just watching one girl stirring guac in a side cup. Weird or nah? Anyways. They're down there talking to each other and I'm just standing at the beginning of the line waiting...and waiting...and waiting. And I work in food service myself (shoutout to the coffee siren) and so I try to be really understanding of situations where I may not know the full story, but there was literally not a single person in front of me paying, ordering, or otherwise and not one of these people could spare a "we'll be right with you" so that I know they've seen me? That's not even why I'm writing this review though. Eventually the girl came over to help and she was nice enough. Maybe not even nice, just not rude. I wouldn't get on here to write about an experience like that. My issue is that I got all the way home, ate a good...3 quarters of my bowl and then ended up pulling a medium length, curly, blondish/brownish HAIR out of my MOUTH. And no. It's not mine. GROSS. This place has to get this rush thing in order.....during lunch there is an unspoken culture. Know your order, the staff makes it quick and right and move on. In their effort to rush. they continuously give out the wrong order, which has to screw up the rest of the orders. Location is great, size of the restaurant is also pretty decent. Lunch is great at this Chipotle, everybody shows up. You also know that deals are getting done in the Chipotle line just like the golf course. Nothing like a hole in one vs. a steak burrito, either scenario allows deals to close. Anything you get at lunch is super fresh because of the high turnover of ingredients and velocity of people. Do not come for dinner though, the meat has probably sat there for awhile, and when I have gotten burritos there the meat was cold, and the veggies and salsa were not as fresh. Lunch is like when you go to the club and its hopping, and dinner is when all that is left the people who did not get rides home and have no idea where they are. read more
