I placed an online order for pick up, and foolishly thought that would speed up the process of getting my food. The last time I was at this restaurant, it took forever to work through the line to place my order, and then just as long to get the order. I got to the location rather expecting to find that my online order was ready and waiting, but they hadn't even started preparing it. The delay can't be blamed on the place being swamped, as there was only myself and one other person in the restaurant. Their new "al pastor" is NOT al pastor. Al Pastor is made from marinaded pork slow cooked on a vertical spit very similar to the way Gyro meat is cooked. It is seasoned with Guajillo chilies, garlic, cumin, and other spices, as well as pineapple and Achiote Paste. It typically is spicy, and fiery hot versions can be found, but at Chipotle, despite their commercial talking about "the new heat at Chipotle", this "al pastor" was mild, tame, without seasoning; definitely no fire, not even smoldering embers. The burritos were soggy. The staff was just plain sloppy, and didn't seem to give a damn if I ordered or not. When I complained about the burritos being soggy, I was told I would have to come back when their manager was working. Is there not always a supervisor or M.O.D. working? The feeling from the moment I walked in the door was, "Oh God, here comes another one". The attitude seemed to be one of get the customer out of the store as quickly as possible. Will not be returning, unless Hell gets really, really frigid. They definitely lived down to the multitude of bad reviews they get. Just to respond to Alex from Chipotle Customer Service. I have no interest in contacting you about this. This review says it all, and nothing you or customer service says will fix it, and I have no intention of returning, so a coupon or discount would be worthless. The best way to fix these problems is for Chipotle to simply go out of business, and let a real Mexican restaurant do the job. read more

Food tastes fine, that's not the issue. The customer service was abysmal. Guy who claimed to be the manager was incredibly rude. But let's start with this part of the review. Our order was for my girlfriend who has celiacs disease. We mentioned that. One of the girls working said okay! Went away washed her hands and switched gloves. We asked The "manager" if he could do the same and grab a different tub of cheese so there wasn't any cross contamination. He washed his hands and when he came back he said the cheese was brand new. My girlfriend being cautious asked "so you haven't made any burritos with it?" And he said no. However it was visibly used, so she asked again, which he finally replied with yes he has used it for burritos. She asked him to please get the new cheese from the fridge which he did and he tossed the container onto his station. Loud enough for the people behind us to chuckle at it and pay attention. I just want to make this very very clear. Celiac disease is no joke, allergens are no joke. Yes they are an inconvenience but not for your "manager" who had to wash his hands and use fresh cheese... it's an inconvenience for the people who have it. Even the smallest cross contamination can make someone very sick. We've had decent service at other chipotles in different areas but this one in particular is always abysmal service. I'm not sure if it's a chipotle wide problem to not be trained appropriately on allergens, or staff just doesn't care but this is extremely disappointing. Oh and they charged us for guac on one of our online orders even though they were out. When we asked the "manager" in store he just looked at us for a minute or two before answering. I've never had this issue with any other chipotle location, but this is the 4th time in a row throughout the last couple of months that they have been out of chips and just don't intend to make more, I guess? Not a big deal but when I get home to look at my burritos they were the smallest littlest least given a heck about item. They put half the amount of ingredients in each one. What a terrible experience. I will never go back to this location and question whether I'll ever return to chipotle. The details of my experience require a bit more energy than I have now but the key points are: 1. When I drove up I was informed that my food was not available and I needed to come inside to cancel my order. 2. When I came in, I confronted disarray: Staff was wandering about with no intention or ability to be attentive to me; they were very disorganized and unskilled, particularly with regard to customer service, which was nonexistent. 3. The place was a mess - most evident in a picture that I took of food and other items on the floor with people just barely moving around it and making no effort to clean it up. 4. The announcement of and the attention to the cancellation of my order was incredibly unprofessional. Despite being told that I would get a refund, I have absolutely no confidence that I will: the confused staff members who finally arrived at the register apparently did find my order, confirmed that they did not have adequate food supplies, and that my order had been canceled and my money would be refunded. There was no clear evidence nor any confirmation provided to me that that was the case and I never received a receipt. I don't even know that I truly received an apology. The one in Auburn was horrible. Staff was less then positive or interactive. The chairs were still folded on the table, making it seam like they do not want you to eat inside but it isn't against policy. It was like 2pm yesterday and the employee just said "oh, you can sit there, we just haven't take down the chairs yet". AND ....no signs posted about only credit cards available, no cash. They only told me that after all my food was handed to us. They had no fork, spoons etc or said anything about drinks available (you can't see where they are available). Now food wise....it wasn't great....nothing was warm enough. The chips we got were so dry we couldn't eat them. They need a real, positive manager to do a good job to get it done properly. That would tackle 80% of the challenges at Auburn's place. read more

My delivery was missing the 2 bags of chips I ordered so either the store forgot to put the chips in or the delivery person took them. Overall a terrible experience. The last time I was in the restaurant they tried to charge me for a water cup! I know some people put soda in the water cups, but it is a very common practice to give out free water cups. I think it is just this location that does this because I have never had this happen at another chipotle. Also, when I ordered chicken they tried to charge me for steak. All three times I have been into this location they tried to nickel and dime me in this same fashion. Several items were missed, the wrong meat was used on the bowl, everything was over cooked, and very little meat was included even though I paid for additional. You should never go here. They don't work like a regular Chipotle, which is to say they don't know how to serve food, provide customer service, or run the Chipotlane (their branded name for a drive thru) that they so heavily promote. I'm not a huge Chipotle guy, but I've been to enough of them over the years that I know what to expect. Not this location. It doesn't even feel like a real restaurant. This is the third time I've attempted to support this Chipotle. I understand this is a newer location, which is why I was willing to give it multiple tries to get it right. Every time I've attempted to order, the staff is unable to fulfill these orders in an efficient or accurate manner. Orders take much longer than quoted and the Chipotlane moves at a snails pace--like it's no exaggeration to expect to be in the line for 15-30 minutes. Today when I went, after waiting in line for twenty minutes, my order still wasn't ready even though it was well past the quoted time. The indifferent clerk told me "just go around in line again" like it was no big deal. I then told her I didn't have another 20-30 minutes to do so (it's my lunch break and I needed to go back to work) and to please cancel my order. She and the manager were indifferent yet again, utterly careless that they were likely losing another customer. This location was an exciting opening for us up here, but it's been open months now and it seems to be getting worse. Seriously, don't come here. It's not even close to worth it read more

Went here the other day and I was very impressed with the food quality and customer service! Was really excited when I found out they opened up at this location so I had to come try it out. After my experience and reading previous reviews, I definitely recommend using the ChipotLANE option when ordering food online. I ordered the regular chicken bowl and received it right on time! The bowls were perfectly sized, good quality chicken and vegetables. I also went with two other friends and they all had good experiences with their food. All in all, whole experience and food was 10/10 and would definitely go again in the near future! read more

Ok no, big deal except the parking lot is ridiculous. No place to park and a drive thru line that doesn't move. My wife and I enjoy Chipotle quite often... And most experiences at varied locations from Ohio to Maine have been good. Quick and courteous service. food is tasty and plentiful and not too costly. . However we had a recent customer service experience that was NOT acceptable at 410 Center St in Auburn Maine on 4/20/2024 at 12:50pm. My wife noted that the server had given her half a scoop of chicken and asked to round it up. He did so with no issue. This was good service as expected. However, it was the cashier that became a huge problem! She charged my wife for extra chicken ( 2nd scoop). My wife said she did not ask for 2 scoops of chicken that the first scoop was half full and just wanted a full scoop. At this point. the cashier RAISED HER VOICE at my wife and said she saw the 2nd scoop and she was going to pay and that was final. And so the cashier did not DO ANYTHING to provide good customer service but to get ANGRY at her. So she was saying to my wife with a RAISED AND ANGRY voice that she was right and my wife the customer was wrong!!! The worst part was she YELLED OUT as my wife when she walked away to NOT COME BACK!!! We simply could not believe she said that to her. Simply Unbelievable!!! And then after she hide in the back of Chipotle so you could engage her on her ANGRY Outrageous Unprofessional Yellout. The yelling to not come back was loud enough for everyone there to hear. And in follow-up, there was NO Manager that stepped forward to make this right!!! It was for sure a BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE and was completely unacceptable! This cashier was definitely having emotional troubles and should NOT have been allowed to interface with customers. Ordered online for pickup. Had an estimated 2:45 pm pickup. After waiting in the car in drive thru until 3:10 pm. I went inside to ask about how long and the manager told me "you are 6 orders down." Another guy waiting for an HOUR was still 3 orders down and had been for 30 minutes. When I asked what was taking so long because we had a SCREAMING toddler in the car. I was told "sorry we can't move anything forward because all these other people are waiting too." When I asked for a refund I was told that no refund receipts are provided by chipotle and we were added to A PAPER LIST and said we would receive refund in "A COUPLE DAYS." I had to ask for the locations phone number so we can be sure it is actually processed correctly. Let me start by saying that I absolutely love Chipotle. I've been to many locations and none come even close to how disgusting this location was. The kitchen (visible to public) was a MESS. I'm talking food crusted to surfaces, trash on the floor, the grill was atrocious. The dining area was filthy, not a single table was clean, the floors were sticky, no utensils, napkins etc. When ordering, most of the food was out, the bays were a mess and unbelievably unhygienic. The shield window was splattered with crusted on food like it had not been recently wiped. So. Gross. Even my kids noticed and that's saying something.
