I love the fact that the food is local and natural, and for the most part, pretty tasty - It's not the food that I have a problem with. It's the fact that every time I go here, it's an absolute clusterf***. They run out of stuff like crazy, and instead of giving you the option to wait until they have more of whatever it is they run out of, they scrape the bottom of the bowl for whatever miniscule amount of meat or rice or whatever that they have, and give you 1/4 of the appropriate-sized portion of old, dried out food. Meanwhile, the very hardworking folks at the counter are shouting out to some seemingly nonexistent employees in the back that they need more of [fill in the blank] and none is ever forthcoming because there simply is no sense of urgency (or perhaps not enough planning ahead to make the right amount of food so it doesn't run out). So in the end I've paid way too much for a way too small portion of unnecessarily mediocre food. Yeah, not a fan of this location at all. Here's to hoping that things improve. read more

While I wish I could give a favorable review to Chipotle, this location is terrible. It opened recently, and the store doesn't have a good understanding of how to operate quickly. Almost every item was out or running low, and we were given several time estimates for how long it would take for items to be replenished (the times were always extended). We waited in line for 10 minutes, then waited almost 20 minutes for our burritos. The burritos got cold waiting for the guacamole to be finished, and they had to be remade. Although I love Chipotle, I won't be coming back to this one- stick to the north shore mall location! read more

This place looks like it's out of an SNL skit. It's just a facade and not a real restaurant. It looks unfinished. It looks almost nothing like all of the other Chipotle locations. The staff is incompetent and annoying. As others have mentioned, they skimp on ingredients and were running low on things. The kicker is that they had a bunch of people working but had many on break. They told me they would make more salad dressing by the time I left for the one I ordered to-go. Well, they just started it as I was exiting the restaurant. Bottom line, don't bother. I love the food at Chipotle, its delicious and they attempt to source it locally whenever they can, which is a plus. But that doesn't say anything about this particular Chipotle. Here you will experience the food that you can expect from a Chipotle. However, you will also encounter long lines; extremely slow, inexperienced, and mostly unprofessional staff; stingy portions; and a very loud environment. I give this particular location three stars, which is very generous. I stopped in here on the way to visit my mom. I believe the manager was the one who was making my burrito. He was very fast, friendly and had the added bonus of being super cute. When we got to the guacamole, they were out. He could see my disappointment and offered to add sliced avocado and lime juice to my burrito instead. I said sure and it was actually really good. He also gave me the burrito for free since they were out of the guacamole. I've been to a lot of different Chipotles and it was never the staff that got me to come back. // REVIEW FROM FORMER STORE EMPLOYEE // It's time to let the cat out of the bag about this store, so I'm sparing no detail here. Quite frankly, it doesn't deserve to be operating and violates nearly every pillar that chipotle stands for, on top of all its other health and safety violations. First of all, the regular employees are not to blame for the majority of the store's issues, granted there have certainly been many terrible employees at the store. Many of them are new hires and quite literally do not receive training. In my time at the store, I was only offered "training" after the Apprentice realized that it was one of the store's requirements and could help him get a leg up in the business ladder. The average staff member at the store leaves after six months due to a variety of reasons. Here is a list of reasons why I left, which are also problems that most of the workers deal with: - Complete disregard of a workers scheduling needs. As a student at the local Montserrat College, you can figure that I'd be running on a pretty full schedule with classes. I told them that I was free Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I preferred mornings, but didn't mind if they threw me on the night shifts if necessary. This was as open as my schedule could be and it was at a time that they were desperate for help, especially on weekends. You would think I'd be placed on a few shifts at the very least, but I rarely scored more than a five hour shift. Another store manager confided in me that the GM at the time (who has since moved on) had stated that he didn't want to schedule me because he "didn't like my availability." That's messed up. And it got better, the aforementioned apprentice would often tell the GM not to schedule me simply because he "didn't like me" and yes, that's a direct quote. Eventually, I ended up unable to afford food (my college has no meal plan) as well as school itself due to their lack of sympathy and focus on personal goals. At one point, I received a paycheck of one penny, since employees get automatically terminated after a month of not working. And yes, I offered to work every open shift where someone had called out. I was denied by the apprentice. - It's an overly stressful, untrained, and understaffed environment. Here's the reason for the majority of complaints that plague the store. There are never enough employees on staff to handle the rushes that come in. So as you're ordering your burrito, the smiling face behind the glass is likely under intense mental stress. Other reasons for this stress include: ~ The apprentice throwing actual temper tantrums in the dish pit. ~ The managers in the back never leaving the office and refusing to help bring calls for more stock up to the line. ~ Other untrained workers not understanding exactly what they should be doing or being too stressed too soon, causing stalls and botched orders. ~ Workers are often assigned to multiple positions at once during peak. - A severe lack of training. In my time at the store (roughly 8 months) I received my first bits of training in my last months there, and again, only because the apprentice could use it to make gains. I understood the job on its own well enough, but that's no replacement for proper employee training. If that wasn't bad enough, this was the case for all of the employees at the time, Including the grill and prep workers, which is horrifying. There's a good chance your food may not have even been prepared right. - No respect for customers or the chipotle business. Because of the dire situation that the store is constantly in, the managers often decide to force the staff to cheat portions, skip steps, and go against the company policies. If you order online, you can expect to receive a quarter of the amount of food you pay for. This store left me in both in a financial and mental health hole so deep that I doubt I'll recover anytime soon. Enough of the mistreated employee business, though, since the customer experience is just as bad. Here's the facts. At this store, you're lucky to even receive an order at all. The workers on the line are usually new, and therefore slow. On top of customers in the store, there are constantly hundreds of online orders pouring in. Here's what I'm getting at, since I want to keep this short. If you order in person, you're in for a subpar experience. But, if you order online, you might as well be opening a mystery box. In my last 4 orders from the store, only one arrived within a 15 minute delay. All other orders were upwards of an hour behind. My most recent order arrived an hour and a half late. I didn't even receive the right order. My doordash driver, who was an absolute saint, offered to make a return trip and bring me the right order. I received the right order, but it was hours late and cold as ice. On top of that, many things were missing and my bowl had somehow gained 8 spoons of guac on top that I didn't order. TLDR: Don't support this restaurant. read more

The past 4 times we've ordered from the location at Dodge St Beverly they have left items out of our order. They violate COVID restrictions by allowing dozens of people to cram into the restaurant waiting for their late orders. The restaurant is filthy and there is always other random ingredients mixed in with our food. They have a phone number but never answer it and there is no way to get a refund. read more

I have been to several chipotle locations, and I can easily say by far the beverly location is the worst location I have ever been to. The service is horrendous, the food was made sloppy and poorly and everyones attitudes behind the counter were atrocious. After going there for dinner, I will not be attending that chipotle again and I recommend them hiring an entirely new staff because kindness should be a guarantee with the job. We use chipotle as a less guilty alternate to fast food. Quick and can eat it on the go but a bit less processed and more fresh. Very disappointed. I placed my order through mobile order and had to wait A HALF AN HOUR for my one simple burrito order. Very, very, VERY DISAPPOINTED. Not to mention, the rice was super hard and barely cooked, it was like I was eating some rocks with cheese. Furthermore, THEY BARELY put chicken, I literally counted 5 small pieces of chicken. And the burrito overall was horrendous in conclusion. Never come to this chipotle, wouldn't even come to this place if I was dying of hunger. Haven't been to a Chipotle in years so, I had a few questions while ordering, staff member was annoyed when I asked two questions about beans and sauce choices. No one was behind me in line. Then, the lettuce bucket was empty except for a few wilted/mashed pieces stuck to the sides so, I asked if they had more lettuce. They did, got a new package and rather than putting new lettuce on the tacos, she put the few old mashed pieces on them with a sprinkle of the new lettuce. Gross, I am pregnant and have to watch out for food borne illness plus, the food is expensive and therefore, should be fresh if it's available. I wouldn't have gotten lettuce if I knew she was going to scraped the sides and put it on the tacos. The staff member was not happy about the whole thing which was weird because it's lettuce. I used to work in the food industry and would never scrape old ingredients out of the trays for customers. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant and one particular outstanding employee, Sasha. For context, I work in the area and eat at this chipotle 2-3 times a week. If I see that Sasha is working that day I know it's going to be a great lunch hour. We talk sports and he never serves me a small portion. We even had a bet going that he could not create a 3 pound burrito bowl... I had to double all the ingredients... but it is in fact very possible. Love this location! read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! Ordered 2 items at 6:45, estimated it would be done at 7:15 so I showed up at 7:20. My ticket wasn't even printed until 7:45 and then they started making my order so I had to stand around waiting until then and this location doesn't really have anywhere for you to stand and wait. When I asked an employee they just said "someone probably took your order" and then went about their business. Wouldn't they have a record of orders that you've already made and set out so you could tell for sure? They kept stating that none of this was their fault and they're very busy - at the same time there are 5 employees sitting at a table talking which confused me. One of the employees also said "we're hiring" to me after inquiring about my order. Well I hope they can hire people with some people skills who won't be so rude at a base level job! An attractive young girl came in and one of the male employees immediately went over to her, asked her name, went and printed her ticket and made her order right there on the spot. Meanwhile I've been sitting here for 10 minutes and no one gives a damn. When I finally got home and opened my order it was wrong!! I was going to eat it anyways and all of the rice was undercooked and hard. If an employee said "hey were backed up so your order might be a few minutes late" then I wouldve respected that and waited but they acted like I was being rude because I inquired when my food would be done. If you want chipotle go to any other location it's worth the drive. I get that in a short staffed world one needs to be considerate of others circumstances however every time I've ordered from them if I even got the order I paid for, ive waited for at least a half hour past your wait time. Which is why I usually prefer Qdoba. However, I tried to get a delivery today and they cancelled it literally 5 minutes before it said it was suppose to be at my house, and like whatever it's cold I get it. So I put in a pick up order, they confirm it, so I get in the car and head down. When I got there they were closed. Doors locked and a guy was cleaning. At first I was obviously confused it said they closed at 10 it was 9:42 and my order was supposed to be ready at 9:40. However, again I know they're short staffed so I let it go and try to get the attention of the worker to get a refund because I'm not getting my food. Keep in mind it's almost 10pm and literally 9 degrees outside. So I'm standing there I knocked and I called and they saw me and blatantly ignored me. I've worked in food myself so I tried to be patient I understand computer systems make mistakes but I just wanted my money back and the guy couldn't be bothered to look in my direction as I'm standing there freezing. Just overall not worth the trip and Qdoba is 10x better and cheaper give it a chance trust me. read more

Go to a different Chipolte. I've been here once and gotten speedy service every other time I wait and wait and wait. It's not the kids slopping stuff into my bowl that are the problem it's the guys who refill the meat, rice and toppings. The girl who put the meat in my bowl asked for more pork as soon as she noticed that they were low, 2 customers before me. When I got to her, they ran out and the guy cutting the meat? Still not on the pork, still cutting the chicken at half speed. At this time she called out for more rice, no one brought her any, they guy cutting the meat disappeared into the back, leaving her with no rice and no pork. and customers lining up. A few minutes later she goes out back where I can see 2 employees, one of who was the meat cutting dude standing around talking and laughing, meanwhile, they are out of rice, pork, and now beef in the front. Meat cutting dude knew they were out of stuff but went out back anyway. Again, the problem with this place isn't the customer service- the kids are pretty great in the front, great actually, it's that the management let's the back of the house staff and the people who cook do basically whatever they want. Additionally the management don't adequately staff for busy nights. This place is slammed from Thursday to Saturday close, the staffing isn't there to support the amount of business they get. Also the music? Way too loud, I couldn't hear the girl who was taking my order, she was yelling over the music- the speaker inline with the register overpowers any speaking or the ability to hear. As much as I like the front of the house staff, it'll be 6 months or so before I step foot in this place again. I've been stopping here 3 or 4 times a month and getting 2 burrito bowls and a soda, so management figure out the tab on what you'll be missing and figure out how much I'll be spending at Wrapture instead. read more

I went here this past weekend and what a joke it was. I never had a burrito so bad that was so expensive. The sour cream tasted gross, and there was a pinch of meat and a soggy tortilla. I paid 1.95 for Guacamole, and I got about a thimble full added to my meal. Later on I had an upset stomach and heartburn the rest of the day. Most of the people who work here, I know one way or another. Gotta say reading some of the other reviews, I see people complaining to just complain... People say Wrong ingredients in things that are actually supposed to have the said "wrong" ingredient in them or missing ingredients that Chipotle doesn't even use. Staff being rude or short tempered when in reality they are trying to multitask and stay as calm as possible when being overtaken by complaints, doing online orders that overflow with the walk in customers. People saying that they don't keep up with filling the line, when in reality they are almost tripping over each other to keep it stocked. I have seen it many nights I grab food. Those complaining that store is dirty or kept unclean don't realize a majority of the closing team sometimes stay past their schedules to make sure everything is clean to the standards they need to be and tables not being cleaned properly some nights mean people sat in the dirty tables and just started eating before they could get to them causing extra mess to accumulate. Compared to other places this one gets hit the hardest with incoming online orders, constant walk ins (colleges all around them) and complaints that they try their best to work to get your complaint fixed or resolved in some manner or another, People have to remember they are still running the already busy store so if your in there complaining you might as well expect to be put after customers waiting in line before even getting a manager who is probably out back trying to help their team get the store back on track for the night. I have had some food not the greatest some nights but other nights its fantastic. They work hard whether they have a full staff or are understaffed, Now I'm not saying that other reviewers are wrong in their feelings but... How did you treat them when you were in there? were you unreasonable, rude, impatient or kind, patient and understanding of the whole situation realizing it isn't just your food they are making? I have always had a pleasant experience in this Specific chipotle and don't stray from this location after what I hear about the other locations as friends who have worked their said they were lent out to nearby locations. BTW Lately the proteins have tasted really good, flavorful and not as dry and mushy... I wonder what has changed? Ive always noticed that staff behind the line usually are joking within each other and trying to have as good as a time as they can within reason of fulfilling their customers needs as their first Priority. Moral of the story: Food was consistent with other chipotles (yummy) but training of employees needs to be better. We'll go back. We love Chipotle's food and this location did not disappoint. When we went, the location had recently opened, but employees need to be trained better prior to opening. For example, everyone that works there should know the difference between a flour and corn taco. Server: What kind of tacos? Husband: Flour. Server: (confused)...what kind? Husband: Flour, please. Server: But do you want crispy or soft? Husband: Uh...soft. Flour. Asking for a tortilla in the bottom of the burritol bowl blew their mind. When we asked, they said they don't normally do that at Chipotle. It's the same exact thing as a burrito, except in a bowl...what's the issue? I love Chipotle. And have frequent the establishment in both the Peabody (North Shore Mall) as well Woburn area. This location is not well managed or organized at all! I went here on a Friday after work and waited 20 minutes in line to place my order. And once I got near the front the poor worker serving everyone was yelling for more rice, he yelled about five times, and the rice still did not arrive until I was half way down the line. I thought it might have been just a fluke to wait this long, but I drove my the location this past week and the line was out the door! My advice: go to a different location until they can figure things out here and get organized and their staffing together. read more

If I could have given this zero stars, I would have. Extremely rude and incompetent employees. As several people have said, they ran low on a lot of things, including chicken which is probably the most popular item on their menu!! Immediately rude when we went to order 5 bowls of the SAME EXACT thing in every bowl. Asked us if we knew what online ordering was (which is awful by the way, we in fact have tried it) and then told us to grab the fax forms and fax them next time, like we would ever even come back. Portions were also, as many have said, skimpy. There were also about 12 employees on and no one seemed to know how to do anything. Run by a bunch of immature teenagers who plain and simple just don't care about customer service. Don't waste your time. read more

I can't give this place a bad review. I have been here probably a dozen and a half times since they opened, and each burrito was delicious, and expertly made. There are occasionally some times when ingredients are low, but that can only be blamed on the high customer volume, and they are quick at replenishing them. read more
