This has to be the most poorly managed Chipotle in the country. Food is decent, if you can get what you want. They are constantly unprepared when food items are running low. I have been to this chipotle many times and it is always the same. Today I counted 8 people behind the counter, only 1 of which was serving food. Resulting in long lines. Besides the awful workforce, they play garbage eurotrash music so loud that you can hardly speak to your dining partner without shouting. Like the other reviewers are saying, this place is pretty bad. I usually have good experiences with the location in Westboro. When the closer Franklin location opened up last year, I though it could save me some hungry drivetime. Nope. We usually put in an online order for 5 or 6 meals, with few modifiers. Someone picks it up, and we are stuck eating whatever the burrito maker felt like putting on our burrito. For example, if you ask for salsa on the side, they'll put a different kind of salsa in the burrito. If you ask for cheese, they'll give you beans . If you ask for extra lettuce, something else will be missing, or a they'll give it to you in a bowl. It's really weird. We have ordered 6 or 7 times from here after they initially opened. Each time we ordered the same "past meals" from my account. Each time we got something mixed up. Why 6 or 7 times to give up? We really thought that everything was new for them and there was just one newbie making our food wrong. Turns there may be more than one. We order our Tex-mex from The Alamo now. Stopped by at 6:30 last night, and fourty-five LONG minutes later I left with one steak burrito. It looked yummy (although WAY too big) so I figured it would be worth the wait... but it wasn't. = ( Something in this burrito was abysmally SALTY.. and I add salt to everything!! This was inedible and after a few bites I had to 86 it. *what was in my burrito: steak, black beans, chile-lime roasted corn salsa, brown rice, sour cream, and lite cheese.. I'm not sure where all the salt came into play, I ate a few pieces of the steak on its own and it was fine. Pretty tasty, actually. Chipotle reached out to me and told me they sent my feedback to the store and fixed the issues with product availability and cleanliness. They sent me a free coupon to go back and give it another shot. Well, I made the mistake of going back one day at 2:30pm for a late lunch and guess what? They were out of lettuce, peppers/onions, chicken, and chips. To top off our experience, the teenager working the cheese/sour cream station was not wearing gloves while he was digging his fingers into the cheese to sprinkle over everyone's food. I'd say this is probably my least favorite chipotle to order from. It's very small and during busy meal times it's very hard to find a seat. They do have some outdoor seating which is great when the weather is nice, but when it's not the inside becomes very cramped very quickly. The staff at this particular location tends to be especially unfriendly and rude, so that's the main reason for this review losing the two stars. The food is great, and what you would expect from any other Chipotle. One thing I've noticed at this location is that the main parking lot (near Stop & Shop) can be hard to find a spot in, but if you keep driving through the parking lot and turn around the corner right before the exit, there's usually plenty of parking between Chipotle and the Bank of America ATM. read more

The only thing surprising about Chipotle's E. Coli outbreak was that the Franklin location was not directly involved, to the best of my knowledge anyway. This location never appears to be clean, they often run out of ingredients, and the ingredients that are available look as if they have been sitting out for a long period of time. As someone who once drove from Connecticut to NYC to try Chipotle prior to their expansion into New England, I was thrilled when a location opened up in Franklin only a few minutes from where I work. I tried this location several times, and not once did it match the quality of their food in other locations. Not even close. I stopped going to this Chipotle before the health scare. Since then, I steer clear. I would recommend going to Taco Bell over this place, and I never go to Taco Bell. read more

I don't know why this restaurant is rated so low. I go here occasionally, and while it's no perfect restaurant, I have failed to see the problems other people have pointed out. The service while I was there was prompt, polite, and efficient. There was a long line, but the staff kept things moving quite well. They made my bowl quickly and exactly as I asked. I don't know how often they are out of ingredients (one of the main complaints I've read about this site), but they seemed to have plenty of everything when I was there. They were also good at keeping on top of things like rice refilling and cooking more chicken when they did start to run low. Overall, a pretty run of the mill Chipotle. I have shied away from making reviews about sub par local eaterys lately. However last week I asked my employees what do you want for lunch? A bunch of them said Chipotle. Now I have not been a fan of Chipotle, I first visited this location years ago when they opened and the food was absolutely disgusting and I spent about half an hour in a line only to get to the front to find out they were missing key ingredients. Other Chipotle locations have been fantastic, so i'm not sure what the issue is with this Franklin location. Fast forward to last week. I took one of the secretaries with me to fill the order. First thing I noticed was there was not line out the door. Probably because Chipotle has been having issues in the previous months with sanitary food. Like some of the other reviews have said this location the dining area is full of trash. Straw wrappers, napkins, pieces of food littered some of the tables and the floor. There was a girl cleaning but for the 30 or so minutes we were there she pretty much stayed in one corner instead of cleaning properly. When we got to the front to place the order they only had enough steak to make one burrito. So I got pork and chicken for the rest of the order (6 burritos total). We pretty much had them throw the same stuff on each one and they must of had a new person working the rolling station because they did a terrible job rolling them. They were also all different sizes enough where Chipotle should do a training video to the employees to show them how to properly make a burrito. I have never worked in the food industry but i'm 100% positive I could of jumped behind the counter and made all these burritos faster than the several employees that were working the stations. The teenagers were kinda rude and socially distanced from the customers. However it is 2016 and finding anyone with a work ethic is extremely hard. Paid a hefty price for 6 burritos. Left and dished out the food to the guys/girls. People were upset that the burritos were different sized. I would post a picture but I put it on snapchat and forgot to save it. Everyone who had chicken said it tasted terrible. My steak carnitas chunks were so cold that it tasted like it was stored on the ice planet Hoth before being put into my burrito (mind you this is like 45 minutes after they made it and I brought it back to my offices in Norfolk) I would say that this location needs to have its entire workforce replaced. Bring in some corporate managers who know how to properly run a restaurant and do it right. You guys have all the puzzle pieces to be a great location to get a burrito in Franklin but you just jammed them in to the incorrect places and it shows. read more

Carnitas was empty, they were just cutting into a zipvac bag (I did not know this was not prepared on site like chicken, now I do), plopped it in a container and told me it is cold and will take 30 min or more. Alright, I will have chicken. I was given an incredibly sparse portion. I surmise it is in an effort to preserve the small amount in serving container as they have none cooking!? The girl cutting the steak had a runny nose and was wiping it with her wrist, while her gloves were on and continued to handle the meat. Lettuce is also empty. Guess my bowl doesn't need that either. I used to LOVE chipotle up until about a year ago. As many of the other reviewers have said, every time I go to this location, no matter what time of day, they are out of ingredients. Today I went at 2pm and everything in my salad was scraped from the bottom of the containers. I got sofritas as I usually do and it was SO salty I couldn't eat it. This was my first visit to chipotle ever. I always hear people talking about it so I decided to finally give in and go. I got a burrito- it was delicious and everything tasted so fresh! The guacamole was amazing. However... The restaurant was FILTHY. Like I have honestly never been in a more dirty setting. The tables and floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned all day. It looked like someone smashed a burrito piñata all over the dining area. The trash was overflowing to the point we had to throw out our food in the garbage can OUTSIDE. There's no reason one employee can't walk around with a spray bottle and broom. I felt like I was eating inside a dumpster. Who knows what the kitchen looks like! read more
