SO many folks behind the counter, and it's clear they have their process down to a science. It's become a regular visit for us (after only going 1-2x in the last few years for a meal - many visits for treats, though). They have a $7 value meal that will satisfy most. Drink, burger or chicken strips, fries and a sundae (upgrade to a blizzard for $2 more). What? Yes please. Their staff is friendly, personable, and SO FREAKING FAST. If you are looking for broken cones, employees hands all over your cone and ice cream that is placed on the inner edge of the inner top circle of the cone (this is a tactic so that they can save on ice cream yet charging the customer the same amount of money) then this is the place. I rate this a 3.7. Went drive through, but it's hit or miss how long the line is. It could be pouring out the parking lot, or you could be the only one. Staff is nice and gets food right away when at window. I got the garlic parmesan nuggets, the first few are gas, but then the last few are not so good and just loaded with the sauce. Amazing ice cream, and the price sometimes could be an arm and a leg. Eat at your own risk. Lots of parking as well, even though some of the spots are blocked by giant concrete polls. The food never fails, always tasting great. There is a great selection of not only great, simple food, but also incredible drinks and desserts. And milkshakes. The service is amazing, they apologize for long waits. Very easy to drive through, the place and its painted walls is very inviting. If you want to eat in the restaurant, then you'll have a great time! The seats are clean and open, it is very accessible and kid friendly. There's even a ramp that leads to an open outdoor patio! We are pretty much regulars at Dairy Queen and we like going there for a little date .My husband and I usually go 2 or so many nights a month. We enjoy the burgers as they're flavorful and enjoyable burgers.We also get a nice ice cream cone too. This Miford Dairy Queen is a nice one and this is where we go. Yesterday though we went there and spent quite a bit of money because we took a friend along with us. We had the same two cheese deluxe burgers except they added some bacon too and the meat just had an unpleasant taste not like the usual good tasting burgers.My husband didn't eat all of his and said it was off too and I didn't enjoy the burger it was a little disappointing. Now like I said this is a pretty great place for burgers and ice cream and we do enjoy coming here.The staff can be friendly and the food is clean and good. This had happened another time before too where the burgers were like a strong or old gamey taste and not pleasant and I didn't say anything but hope we don't keep getting these other burgers on occasion. Just another thing to suggest and not to sound like I'm picking but if I order a medium or larger ice cream I would like it be pretty close to the size instead of a small one as I'm paying for that also. I work in the area so this is somewhere my coworkers and I get food from often. A few months ago I had an issue where on two different occasions there was a long black hair in my food. I made a google review and was given a gift card by a manager for this. Two days ago I went and it happened again (I took pictures of this one, see below). When I called them to let them know, they said I was a liar because nobody there had black hair (they are Greek so almost every worker has black hair). I was really pleased with my experience today. The server who took our order was so sweet and patient with the 5 year old I had in tow who wanted to chat with her about preschool. We got a vanilla in a cup with sprinkles and a vegan Dilly Bar. I loved having a handy vegan option that was individually wrapped and that had ingredients clearly labeled for allergies. Made a yelp account just to make this post. We get DQ a decent amount, maybe once every month or so. Little things pop up where you pay for a 6 piece and only get 3-4 tenders instead, etc. Tonight after dinner I wanted to treat my children for ice cream. My boys love the churro dipped cones! Drove up and ordered and was told the total and to pull up as usual. I get handed a bag and told have a good night and windows shut. Confused because how did they put ice cream cones in a bag, it was sundaes; so I waved the kid at the window and said "this is not what I ordered" handed him the receipt. Another man comes and says "well we don't have enough to make the cones so there's nothing we can do it won't dip" ok? Would've been nice to be told that at the window and also I paid for something completely different. Asked nicely if they would wait while I called my boys to ask if they'd like to substitute. So they went with the choc dipped cones instead. Great! I asked if I could have two soda cups to rest the cones in so I can drive home with out holding two cones in my hands. After a little while they hand me two cups and you could see that the choc was put at the bottom of the cup, they then put the ice cream in the cup and then just lightly threw a cone on top. At this point I'm already frustrated because I've explained two times. So I waved him down and said this is not correct either can you just please refill my card. The manager comes and says he will specifically do it, no matter how I said no I felt bad with the line he insisted so of course then agreed. Now mind you because it's taking so long and the exchange back and forth someone is behind me videoing (I don't know what because it wasn't exciting but who knows now a days) and revving their truck. So while they all looked out at the person ( I'm waiting on the manager with the correct items I ordered) they keep talking about they don't know what is wrong with the items, mind you window is wide open and it's very clear that this one young teen girl was just wanting to be rude about the situation. She was making a sundae with the hard choc dip on top so I said "see how that choc. Is hard that's what the boys are wanting" so they wouldn't be further confused. She then looks at me, looks at the three people at window, laughs and says "can someone just shut the window, like seriously just shut the window on her" The girl must've been 17 years old or so. I already felt very badly in the situation, there's a huge fan blowing above the window so you can't hear anything that's going on, already declined it to be remade and to just be refunded and be fine. I understand they can't control anyone outside or the place doing what they want but to have staff talking amongst one another about you and then acting like you're annoying and and an inconvenience is a horrible feeling. I don't understand that if something is made wrong and you're paying for it you want it made done right. Especially as a parent you don't want to get your children's hopes up and told they were getting one thing and come home with another to have it not touched and money thrown out the window basically. I have two stars because it's not the food per say but it was very chaotic with one guy handing my first order and asking what's wrong, then another guy comes gives me the second order that's wrong, so clearly too many people doing and standing in one area. I just feel like it all could've been handled better and to drive away feeling so embarrassed and crappy when it was supposed to be a happy moment to go get ice cream for gods sake. No one apologized or repeated back to me once what was being ordered, however the receipt said exactly that. That being said I will not do drive through again. Sadly I feel like the staff need better training and also to have so many people standing around a drive through window, I feel is the reason why things are incorrect. Honestly, what is going on at this location lately, must be hard finding competent high school kids to work here, last 3 times stopping here for blizzards, usual Sunday night treat for kids, literally the one thing DQ is known for, the one item theyve built their reputation on, how can it be so hard to train people to make these properly? 3 Sundays ago ordered peanut butter cup and got butterfinger, 2 Sundays ago ordered same, got m&m and hardly any mixed in, this Sunday ordered peanut butter cup again and literally got a cup of vanilla icecream with zippo, nada, zero peanut butter cup. So this review is based on my last experience at this dq last week. My coworkers and I ordered some food and ice cream for lunch the other day 3 meals an 3 ice creams. We ordered in the app to make it convenient and easy. When I got to the store the girl at the register was talking to a friend (not a dq employee) she asked me what I wanted to order I told her I had a Mobil pick up order she then just continued to talk to her friend. I waited for 18 minutes until another employee asked what I was waiting for I advised him I was waiting for mobile order. Then had my food within a few minutes. One of the big Milford hang out spots when I went to MHS, Daily Queen still draws a huge crowd on the weekends. I'm not kidding, you can barely find a parking spot and the drive through line is usually into the street. They do hot food and are well known for their numerous and delicious frozen treats. Although the quality of the food has not changed, the prices and the portions certainly have. Dairy Queen used to give you a lot of food for a pretty cheap price, but as with the bad economy and inflation, those days are long gone. Portions are not as bad but prices are definitively getting to the point where I would think twice between going here or just hitting up the freezer in the kitchen. But the food is always good and you will probably never be disappointed. Overall I gave this place three stars because of the good food, nice location and because it has been there as long as I can remember. The decrease in portions and the increase in price definitely kept it from getting four stars in my book, but its still a good ice cream place. read more

I'm going to have to agree with another reviewer here that posted they can never get an order right. I've learned to check any fast food or coffee place before I drive off now, but the biggest reason why I'm rating them a 1 is because for my dads birthday my mother always orders the extra peanut butter and chocolate all over the top ice cream cake bc my dad looks forward to having that type of cake each year on his birthday. When my mother and I went in to pick it up, it was ALL wrong. When my dad who knows the owner of the place brought it to his attention after the fact, he said "so what do you want me to do now?". Sarcastically. This is the problem with businesses and many of their owners. They take no accountability for something they did wrong. I know when I used to work for a local bank when I was younger their motto was the customer was always right even when you know the they can sometimes be wrong. However these days some businesses think this is the norm to mess up an order etc, you pay for the wrong order while complaining it was wrong and they still don't care. I don't enjoy eating on top of random strangers in some "trendy" place where I can literally take my fork and pick at another diners plate without leaving my seat. This local franchise is a nickle-and-dime operation. I have been going to DQs all my life, in the US and as far away as Thailand. Visited the Milford, Mass store yesterday evening with my family. Ordered a desert I have had hundreds of times over the years "Peanut Buster Parfait with chocolate ice cream and peanut sauce in with the hot fudge layers". Cashier took the order and walked to the prep area to tell them how to make it herself. Bill was presented and saw she charged multiple times for the peanut sauce. When asked why the multiple charges for the same item was told that this is the policy of the store and "that is how we need to enter it" and there were three layers so three charges for the sauce. I have never seen this multiple charging for the same extra in any DQ I have ever been. I called and spoke with the owner the following morning and she said this was the way "the computer needed it" and when asked specifically if this was the local store's policy she replied it was her policy to charge a customer multiple times for the same extra in the same item. I will not be returning to this store, as they seem more concerned on collecting their 60 cents per desert layer than providing the customer with a good value for the money. If you are in the area I suggest you do not patronize this store before they start charging by the peanut and instead go to any of the competitors in the area. This is the BEST Dairy Queen in this area. I'm in LOVE with Dairy Queen and wish a location would open closer to my house in Westwood, yet every time I'm out in Milford (which is often), I make a special trip to Dairy Queen, on Route 140, so I can still visit my favorite place to get delicious treats. This location consistently has not only great ice cream, products, and staff, yet the service is consistently fast (the drive thru never has taken over 5 minutes, even with 4-5 cars before mine), and they consistently give large portions and aren't raising their prices (like some other Dairy Queens). Additionally, this location has a large parking lot, on both sides of the building, and easy access in and out from Route 140 (West Street), as well as a nice outdoor seating area. Oh, by the way, this Dairy Queen is also open year round and open until 10 Sun-Thur., and 11pm on Fri & Sat (yet during the summer they are open until 11 every night!). This establishment is a Grill and Chill. First, the owners are wonderful. They are kind, generous and recognize their customers. Second the restaurant is updated and spotless. There is an enclosed outdoor area for children to play and tables for adults to sit with their food and beverages..parents keep in mind that this parking lot is packed most of the time and busy! Third, consistently excellent fresh soft serve. You can tell that they clean their machines regularly. They also have constant product turnover as they are busy busy busy.
